Can't help but imagine the teleporting orks. One of them materializing completely around a human but orks are just so tough this just caused the ork a bit of a headache and some amusing trophies sticking out at odd angles from it's body and still wiggling about for hours as the human nerves reacted some to the orks causing the limbs muscles to twitch.
Teleporting inside something doesn't meld the two things in 40k. The teleported is inserted into the target, and either the teleported is crushed by the destination (like being inside marble) or the teleported shatters the target (like the ork likely did in your example to the human, or anything else does to air). This is why for example you cannot deploy teleported troops quietly in an atmosphere. Because the teleported troops displace air, and the displaced air needs to go at high velocity, suffer great acceleration, thus, it produces a quite loud BANG. In a vacuum, where nothing is being displaced by the teleported troop, ofc, you can deploy them in a stealthy manner. This is one of the very few examples where 40k is even more realistic and consistent than StarTrek.

@@multiplesingular294 Not "before" their arrival, "by" their arrival. Their body is what displaces the material. Kind of like if you jump into a pool of water, water is not displaced ahead of you, your body forces the water away. Same principle.
But yes, you are correct in that you can't teleport around something. Teleporters work by teleporting something to the exact coordinates down to milimeters. This is why it's mostly necessary to have a teleport beacon on site to scan the precise topography around the target area and pinpoint the exact arrival location, otherwise, ah, accidents happen. Like not arriving on target, instead, 20 centimeters above it. Which might be fine in open air, but that would mean a stormtroopers head might be slammed and destroyed by a metal bulkhead if the target is inside a bunker, or a starship. Or 20 centimeters below target means either they arrive into knee deep mud, or their legs will shatter and liquefy by being crushed by metal or stone floor. Or, if they are, say, Adeptus Astartes, and the rock is something soft, like, say, sandstone or chalk, their power armoured feet will simply shatter the ground beneath their feet, and they'll arrive in an epic cloud of dust after the bang.

I actually think the Imperium and Orks love each other, they complement each other perfectly. An Ork Warboss without a humie world to wage Waaagh on is a sad ork. And a Space Marine without a Xeno enemy to test himself against become a decadent space marine. And the Orks are not like Necrons or Tyranid that wants to destroy everything forever, they just want to fight.

Well, a total war game in a modern setting isn’t possible.
The total war franchise relies more on lines and cohesion, whereas modern conflict and even this is more individual, with units fighting in small groups.
With the whole, "Orks teleporting blindly into the fortress city," I can just imagine one ork teleporting into a closet. Out he jumps, WAAAAGH-ing at anything in the room, only to find it empty. The camera pans, and we see he's wearing frilly- pink bedazzled nightgown and lingerie.
A second ork beats down the door to the room, only to find the first ork wiggling his finger seductively in a, "come 'ere big boy" fashion. *Orking Ensues*

9:50 Arch isn't kidding about airspeed or g-forces folks.
The Ork Fighta-Bomma (when you apply real-world physics to it) goes over 4 times the speed of sound at maximum output. That leaves even the fastest Eldar craft way behind in the dust. Under normal circumstances, this kind of speed would *literally* liquefy the pilot, but well, this is the Orks. Not to mention (applying real world physics again) any bullets fired by these Ork Fighters will be going slower than the actual aircraft.
Of course, the average Fighta-Bomma has as much (if not more) armor than a bloody Land Raider, so the likely go-to tactic for Flyboyz is simply: "RAMMING SPEED!!" when any enemy aircraft(or friendly ones. These ARE Orks) get in the way of their Fighta-Bomma.
The kicker? Their sheer speed would let them smash through several dozen air craft of similar or slightly large size before the Fighta-Bomma would fall out of the sky.
That iz cuz fighta-bommas are painted red, everyone knows red ones go faster.

I am quite certain these are very orkish terms and totally fit the lore, but there are a FEW teeny tiny mistakes with your entire comment if you are really trying to prove anything (which you don't have to by default, cause this is warhammer)
1, Speed alone doesn't liquefy you. Otherwise none of the X-planes would've been able to do their missions. It's the acceleration and deceleration of the aircraft that gives them G forces, as well as any sort of manouver they do, relative to the angle at which they turn and the current airspeed of the aircraft. While I am certain that both of these are extreme (considering that most ork planes have about 4 controls, 2 of which are 0% and 100% engine power, and the other two relegated to controls and DAKKA), but that alone doesn't validate any of it, since there are 0 statistics available anywhere about.
2, I highly doubt that is what Arc was talking about. From my experience in the tabletop game and real life physics (actual ones), I am almost 100% certain Arc was talking about the very fact that these planes are rather cumbersome due to the sheer amount of armor and bombs on them. So again, I am fairly certain what he referred to was the fact that these heavy pieces of junk had insane drag, were going slow, and would not be able to bear some of the high-G manouvers that their pilots were trying to do. After all, these are orcs. If any calculation says that they are better at tech in something than the Eldar (other than number of DAKKA attached), then your calculation is wrong.
3, Let's pretend for a second that Orcs CAN go at 4 machs. At that speed, no real life gun would be able to fire a bullet faster than the plane itself. Most 20mm guns used on planes have a speed of somewhere between 600-800 m/s. That is roughly around 2 Machs on average. So you would think, how are they able to shoot down planes? Well, applying REAL WORLD PHYSICS to it, the bullets get a starting velocity equal to that of the plane.So when you are going at 4 machs and fire a bullet going at 6 machs, that means you fire a bullet going at 6 machs, not that it will accelerate out the back of your gun at -2 Machs, ripping your wing apart. In fact, even less, since firing said round will always generate a recoil on the aircraft. If you want to see an extreme example of said recoil, just look at how much an A-10 slows down during a single burst.
4, At 4 machs, the fighta bomba would fall out of the sky as soon as it hit something as small as football if it made out of anything relatively solid. This is simply a result of the speed differences between the two resulting in a catastrophic collision for the plane. If you need any proof of how speeds affect the danger levels of small objects, look no further than space debris. Either way, depending on how you think about "fall out of the sky", any collision would stop the fighta bomba from functioning in... well, any shape or form, other than a massive cloud of debris. But as such, it would doubtlessly be marvelous. But in the way you imagine them smashing through many aircraft while continuing to fly? No way. Not unless they were going significantly slower and using tactics akeen to ww1 fighters whereas they would literally make their planes fall/land on the other one to force them out of the sky. And honestly, I don't know any self respecting ork who wouldn't use DAKKA instead.
So yes, aside from completely messing up anything about physics, and if I correctly understood Arc, the entire purpose of his speech, you did a great job. Of course, even if I was wrong and Arc did indeed want to showcase just what marvels of superior engineering the ork fighta bombas are, you still failed to consider basic REAL LIFE physics. But hey. Gj on 78 likes. Hey, have one on me. 79.

I’m kinda curious, if you use teleportation technology to transport orks blindly to a planet and said ork matter ends up in the earth...
How does the ork matter appear in already occupied space? Do they just explode beneath the surface with almost no sign of an ork what so ever? Or does it just turn stone a bloody green?
And imagining that this ork matter does manage to force itself between the soil or stone (matter), would enough ork matter create enough force between earth matter to create shifts beneath the surface.
...Possibly Resulting in a sort of gory fissure of ork matter to rupture out of the surface with tiny quakes? Imagine the chaos!

the biggest problem with attacking the Roks was the scale of Ghazkhull's telly-portaz, the largest of them could bring down super heavy battle fortresses and gargants.
When the imperium says that can't happen. The orks say hold my beer.
Why would the orks side with a former overlord, especially one who declares himself the divine ruler of the planet that they're invading? Wouldn't they just kill him and be done with it?
The Crazy Dingo Not to mention that this wasn't just some random rock that the imperium only remembered existed because its name was written down in some scribe's notebook for the yearly tithe collection but Armageddon, one of the most important planets in close proximity to Terra. How von Straab came to the genius conclusion that the imperium would let him keep his position for even a week should he have succeeded (provided that the orks didn't just get rid of him after he was no longer of use to them) we'll probably never know.
I'm not a monster well, he made a deal with a clan of blood axes from what I remember, the blood axes being a clan that consists of a lot of kommandos and the fact that they use human tactics this doesn’t seem so far fetched.
I like how in the first week the Astartes were doing the space marines equivalent of camping while the Guard were getting their shit pushed in and the Orks took control of the skies.

You always want to keep a strong reserve. Makes sense for the Astartes to fill that role.
I know, plus it helped keep the orks from going to ground in the rougher terrain where it would have been hell getting them out. I just find it funny picturing the sky literally falling down while a bunch of space marines were sitting around a campfire in the wastelands toasting marshmallows.

Rather counter intuitive for Ghazghkull to bomb Hive Hades. By the same logic, many other positions in the planet should have been bomber. It was probably an act of spite, for "Ima mek sur da Hummies giv me ah gud foight, bat I'llz bombs dat one place dats toogh" does not follow.

Too bad, was really great game. Too hard on hard though, at least for me, will give a new iron man game go at medium difficulty. Had potential for good MP, but if its so long since last update I can't imagine there is still a active community for it.

I've been puzzling over the Fire Wastes, and a thought comes to mind. If the season of fire results in lava, ash and general tectonic instability... We are talking about the great beast himself. What if he could turn that geological mishap to his advantage? Perhaps great tunnels or trenches sending lava right into the enemies midst. Or even possibly earthquakes and other natural disasters re-directed at a hive city. This is 40k after all, so it's entirely possible.

im getting the sense that the imperium and the orks relationship is petty much like this imperium commander says to an Ork upon seeing its battle plans "I say old chap that's plan of yours is the most utterly insane thing I have ever seen, and even taking with your abilities and...infusionism into accent. this would be imposable" and the ork would go "ow ya squcy git ya can bloody well wact' me yar ca'n"
