Hey FanARK Boy! You are right, but the way the mod works is different from how the slider works, similar to the Classic Flyers mod. You will find a greater variety of items that you can loot from the beacons with the mod, not just higher quality items from the vanilla settings. You'll find way better stuff with the Better Beacons 2.0 mod

I've got around 2,500 hours logged in ARK and the mods in this list are the ones I enjoy the most. It makes progress in the game quicker without it feeling like cheating. Dude you have re ignited my love for ark again. been playing on a gtx rented server with a couple friends and never looked into mods until today and have been having trouble on what stacks with what. I see you have mentioned you stacked all of these together before :) one question tho how did you get rid of vanilla engrams and only having S+ and do you find you need the vanilla engrams?
Hey H Raniera! Awesome to hear this video helped get you back into ARK - burnouts are always inevitable, it usually takes me several months to cooldown after a 500+ hour file. Anyway, to only see S+ engrams, you can just type "S+" into the search bar when you're in the engram section of your menu. That should filter out all the vanilla stuff

4:17 I noticed that your crop plot was extremely large but had smaller plants are those all small plots or is it one giant massive plot broken into smaller sections? I am a farmer enthusiast's and for me having a large farm is important especially making narco berries as opposed to having a trike for taming I try to minimize the amount of dinosaurs I have as a resource I'd rather be able to have them on hand. Of that list, i use Meat spoiler (i actually like the tune...lol) Upgrade station structures plus. Now i will have to have the pumps since i play mainly singleplayer. Thank you for this.😁👍
Upgrade station is OP but ya I'm using it. I'm currently using the Primal Fear mod plus difficulty 10 so better gear helps a little bit. When I get to higher tier creatures my gear doesn't even matter. If I get hit by any AOE I'm dead.
I recently started playin Ark again, and every time I turn on the meat spoiler I think something is tryin to fight me cuz I only hear a few of the notes from that annoying music.
while i found the video well done and useful, you could have gave credit to the creators of these mod's, not only a nice thing to do but would have made it easier to find them in the steam workshop
He does shout some of the ones he can and not to mention he puts the literal I.D. below the name on the bottom left of the mod when describing it. If you are going to be negative about a video you should make sure you have all the facts first.

Nice, good recommendation! There's also the "Spoilers" mod (1230672785) which comes with a wood spoiler which turns wood into charcoal pretty fast. It also comes with a meat spoiler which instantly spoils raw meat. Thanks for the contribution Bud Williams
Dang appetizer seems like it would fit super well in base ark. I feel like there should be a little bit more to taming than just narcs and i love how that mod makes stimberries just as useful
Question. What's the point with better beacons 2.0 if you have Upgrade station installed? Don't the upgrade station make the beacons utter and completely worthless?
Pretty much! Beacons would be useful early in the game, but mid to late game, the upgrade station is unbeatable. It is expensive to use the upgrade station though too, while beacons are free
Yeah... It cuts down on the RNG of schematic drops by a lot. I don't think it breaks the pace a whole lot by itself though - I'm personally okay with the pace it provides. Combined with Resource Pumps, it becomes super broken though, for sure.

Nice mods, but I got to shoot down a couple. And yeah, Structures Plus is such a good mod. And even now, it's still better then the couple of components they added from it to vanilla. Meat spoiler... the compost bin works similar. But easier is just taking a stack of about to "expire" meat and split it down into stacks of 1. That was you can spoil 100 meat or so in one go. Death recovery, there's a mod that just makes it so when you die, you take your inventory with you. Or use Awesome Teleporters, which allows you to recover your corpse plus gives handy, time saving teleport options. Better beacons is literally a setting you can tweak. The Dino tracker is kinda cool. I prefer the Creature Finder Deluxe which is more powerful. It does change your gameplay, where the tracker impacts this less.
Most of these mods are redundant, especially in single players mode where u can just spawn in anything u need vanilla style instead of downloading a mod and going a long winded round about way of achieving the same thing. Super Structures, Dino Tracker, and Dino Patrol are about the only ones I'd use. You can adjust the structures limit on raft and platforms yourself with vanilla, you can simply split all your spoiled meat and adjust how fast it spoils in vanilla, why use a backpack when u can just get a shoulder mount. The list goes on and on.
Ah, that's awesome Kasperi! You might also want to check out the 'Ultra Stack' mod, which allows you to carry way more stuff in your inventory. For decoration mods, you might want to look up 'Eco' in the Ark Steam Workshop.
Hey TOXIC GAMES, enabling mods is way easier than that! Go to the Steam workshop, search for ARK, then look for which mods you want. Subscribe to whatever mods, then go into ARK. You'll see in the bottom right hand corner of the main menu that the mods are installing into the game, wait until that's done before getting into your game. Then, you'll see the list of mods you installed from the Workshop when you go to Host Local, this is where you actually enable the mods. I should just make a tutorial
I got Ark when it was free on Epic and oh man, I wished there was a legit way to mod the game when you play on Epic TvT they still didn't implement this.

I do prefer using mods though because I always come across the question, "am I making the game too easy" when personally adjusting the configuration files or modifiers. These mods seem to be more official in a way, more balanced. That's just the way I perceive it, anyway.
Anybody thought of putting music from 2016's Doom and putting it in Ark: Survival Evolved, and then viceversa? I could do the same with Spyro A Hero's Tail and Ark: Survival Evolved, or 2016's Doom and Doom 2, but... let's not do those yet, I guess?
I highly recommend "Kraken's Better Dinos" and "Conversion Collective". The 2nd one also has a meat spoiler but without any annoying music! :-D Downside: you have to power it with gas or electricity.
There are some cheaty aspects to Structures Plus, and Automated Resource Pumps is kind of cheaty as well. It boils down to how much time you want to save, or, how much less grinding you want to do for resources. Anyway, I hope you found some good ones in this list, godspeed
Yeah, the Wyverns were broken, but they nerfed all the flyers. Made the game a lot less fun, but that's just my opinion. I agree that the pacing is super important in ARK, and it's something I struggle with every time I set up a server: are my settings too overpowered? Will this make the game too easy? There's definitely a fine balance that is subjective to each ARK player
A mod that would be really interesting would let us crossbreed regular creatures and there aberrant variations. So that way players can have the best of both in one creature.
I gave ark a try the last couple of days, the final straw for uninstalling it was how completely unplayable it ran when i tried hopping on a server after getting bored of single player. I watched a few ark videos since uninstalling, and considered reinstalling and trying out mods. Except I can't. Because I got it for free on epic, which doesn't allow mods for Ark. So uninstalled it stays.

The modding community for ARK is awesome! Most mods are made by different mod developers, some of them are really good about updating their mods, and some aren't. Just as a warning, if you are playing single player, make sure to let the mods update before logging into your world. You'll see in the bottom right hand corner of the main screen which mods are updating (if there are any). If you launch the game before those mods can update, it will ruin your game - especially if you're using Structures Plus

It would be so hard to only use S+ for building. And yeah, I've had a several deaths that the death recovery mod couldn't rectify. Meshing through the ground and dying, using the 'fly' admin command and meshing through the ceiling of the map and dying, and also after the final boss fights on The Island and Aberration.

To get heaps of spoiled meat, use split all on a full stack when the first piece is about to spoil. All of them will be in the same state.

I would also suggest spyglass, allows you to see torpor and health of any Dino you look at, also tells ur if it’s tameable or not, possibly or KO.
That's a really good suggestion. I think I use "Ultimate Spyglass", but Structures Plus also has a modified spyglass as well

The tombstone mod the death recovery should have a like 1 hour cool down that way you cant juat get your stuff consistently

btw theres a mod called UACreatures that gets rid of the dismounting and stealing ability (only if not tamed)

I gave ark a try the last couple of days, the final straw for uninstalling it was how completely unplayable it ran when i tried hopping on a server after getting bored of single player. I watched a few ark videos since uninstalling, and considered reinstalling and trying out mods.
Except I can't. Because I got it for free on epic, which doesn't allow mods for Ark. So uninstalled it stays.

The modding community for ARK is awesome! Most mods are made by different mod developers, some of them are really good about updating their mods, and some aren't. Just as a warning, if you are playing single player, make sure to let the mods update before logging into your world. You'll see in the bottom right hand corner of the main screen which mods are updating (if there are any). If you launch the game before those mods can update, it will ruin your game - especially if you're using Structures Plus

@@jurgenvolders6995 lol - most people do, including myself. It's advice I give to any new player I come across. I usually also suggest learning how to do manual saves, just to be safe

One of the first things a friend told me, as we played ark "only use s+ for buildings" XD
It would be so hard to only use S+ for building. And yeah, I've had a several deaths that the death recovery mod couldn't rectify. Meshing through the ground and dying, using the 'fly' admin command and meshing through the ceiling of the map and dying, and also after the final boss fights on The Island and Aberration.

I also recommend mod called kraken's better dinos. It rebalances the game, remaps dinos, its just awesome.
Nice, I'll have to check that out! I wonder if that falls under the category of an overhaul mod. If so, it may not play nicely with other mods or ini changes. I'll check it out though for sure, sounds cool
