Yes, but remember it will lose that frozen trait and might be slightly watered down. It shouldn’t be too much though.

Wow I'm definitely going to try this but I'll add stevia instead of adding sugar to make it more healthy.
Stevia has a certain taste, as I'm sure you're aware. I know this is a two year old plus comment, but monk fruit might be a better choice.

PINA COLLADA
1. 8 ounces of frozen pineapple junks
2. 8 ounces unsweetened coconut milk
3. Quarter cup ice
4. I teaspoon sugar
5. 8 ounces pineapple juice
6. Blend together and garnish

So why not used sweetened juice instead of unsweetened? Does using the sweetened kind make it not taste right?
Pineapple juice is very sweet as is. We don't think there is an unsweetened kind. Plus, the coco lopez has a lot of sugar in it so that also adds to it.

Interesting...Maybe a pull towards the Orange Julius range, but obviously with a pineapple taste instead of Orange. Something to think about.

You can but it will change what the drink is. Pineapple juice is a key ingredient in the alcoholic piña colada....

That is if you are trying to make an alcoholic version.
Blend in a date or two for natural sweetener
It'll change the taste, but if you want to use a more natural sweetner go right ahead. There are plenty of alternatives out there, but keep in mind the taste may change a little. Not that that's a bad thing. That's the beautiful thing about drinks, they're always open to interpretation and taste.

All the pina coladas I've ever had were white in color, the color of coconut.
This is a virgin recipe so the ingredients, to give more flavor, cause it to be this color.

Thanks for the video. However, just one point to consider: You said you can control the amount of sugar in this drink because of the lack of coconut cream. There really isn't a lot of sugar in most coconut creams - it's mainly fat. This drink is already quite high in sugar - fresh pineapple and pineapple juice. You then offer the option to add more sugar.

You mean cream of coconut. Cream of coconut has sweetners added but coconut cream doesn't. Both are different.

There's plenty of sugar in the pineapple chunks and brown sugar.
Pina colada is made with coco Lopez
Coco lopez is nothing more than cream of coconut which is what we used. The brand we used can be found in many bars that serve a pina colada.

Coconut milk is not the same as cow milk and doesn't curdle. Coconut milk is used in many recipes that use tropical fruits like pineapples.

This is just regular Pina Colada without rum...
Actually it's not. Pina coladas don't add brown sugar, and use coconut cream (coco lopez) instead of coconut milk. You can make regular pina colada and leave out the rum, it will taste different from this recipe.
