Fixing up a cb350 right now and the wiring harness has been hacked all To pieces. This gives me the confidence to take it out and replace it with a new one. Thank you
Spencer Forbes so glad it’s helpful. It’s one of those questions I could never find really solid answers for so I’m glad it’s useful. Thanks for the feedback.
Josh Bailey so great to hear, man. Thanks for the feedback. Let’s get our bikes back on the road. I’m happy to hear that the vids are useful outside the 350 builds. Also, the reference to shake your paint is impressive. Lol
Hello......I can't figure where that one larger black wire with "ring" terminal goes...You are holding it at 11:16 in video and are calling it a Ground wire. But mine is "hot"......when my Red heavy wire with "ring" terminal is connected to positive on battery. Please help....
Jack Lippin yeah. Literally the next video in the playlist. Engine is still out so I haven’t wired that yet. The wiring video takes care of lights and switches. Once I get the engine in I’ll do a video on the rest.
@@KeepOnWrenching okay cool! ill be waiting haha i am at the point on my build where i need a new harness, im going to try to get all the lights hooked up and i will stay posted for when the engine goes in
Looks like it connects to the left front turn signal ground wire and plugs into the connector with double green on the other side. Going by the diagram. I will have to look. I appreciate it.
It’s my first bike build and I don’t want to cause a fire lol 😆 I am trying to leave the harness untouched with the exception of upgrading the battery charging system, slim lithium battery and turn signals. I’m doing a wire tuck, it’s pretty easy! Thank you very much for making these videos. I will follow the rest of them in my wiring journey 👍
The one I have is for 350s specifically. The Honda color code on wires is likely universal. So it’ just a matter of getting things connected. If they say it’s universal for all models...it’s worth a shot. Their harnesses rock.
Just picked up a 71 cl350 your videos are so valuable for someone like me with no experience with motorcycles, so thank you!
So great to hear that. Good luck with your project! Thank you.

Totally doable.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! This was a lifesaver for me.
My pleasure. Glad it was useful.
Thank you. I’m still working on mine but this was helpful.
Fantastic! Good luck moving forward.
This video is amazing. Thanks for tackling such an intimidating part of the bike build and turning it into a fun video!
Thanks, man! I appreciate the feedback. That’s exactly what this series is all about. Keep on wrenching!
Hey thanks for doing this video! Wasn't worried about the wiring but the harness routing was a mystery. Subscribed now.
Thanks, John. Glad you found the video useful.
Well done, very nice and simple, great teaching, thank you very much.
My pleasure! Glad you found it useful.
perfect timing. literally came inside from the garage with a routing question. thx for the details.
Graig Cameron glad the video helped you out!
this is super helpful. gonna be doing my cb360 this weekend. thanks.
Glad you found it useful!
Amazing content! Very thorough and enjoyable! Just what I need to start tearing up and rebuilding my 68' CB350-K0 twin.
So glad you found the series and are finding it useful.
These videos are great you really help me out man this is crazy the amount of details you put in the videos thanks
My pleasure, man! I’m glad to hear they are helpful.
Brian, this is incredibly helpful! Thanks
Awesome to hear! Thank you.
Just what I'd asked for, thanks Brian
Spencer Forbes so glad it’s helpful. It’s one of those questions I could never find really solid answers for so I’m glad it’s useful. Thanks for the feedback.
Very informative I have to do two bikes needing complete rewire.
Greg Hamilton that’s perfect. I thought this one would be helpful. Pretty common question. Good luck on those builds!
Thanks, for all the stellar content, you have helped me a ton with tips and tricks on my CB550 project.
Shake your paint!

KUDOS excellent video.
Next you need to restore a 1977 Yamaha RD 400D preferably red in color. Hint, hint, hint!
Lol. I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
woah this was exactly what I was looking for!
That’s awesome to hear, man!
Looking good!
Thanks! Really solid setup that you sell. Makes it all pretty easy! A+
Just got a 1970 SL350 and I really need to know if this harness is the same as the CL/CB???
Totally the same.
I haven’t dealt with an sl but I’d assume it’s all generally the same.
I will get a harness coming and keep you updated then. Thank you so much! 🙏
You totally sound like Jack Black
People keep saying that!

Check out these vids. There are two parts. Here’s part one. th-cam.com/video/IoQFTdENcOI/w-d-xo.html
Once your set to wire up hand controls etc . Just remember right / left control etc . And connect colour to colour ? Is that about right 🤯🥴
Generally. But there are nuances. Sounds a little easier than it usually ends up being.
Could I done this job without removing the engine but just carbs battery and air filter??
Absolutely.
Could I talk to you by phone. I have a round plug coming out of the chain cover area for the charging system. How do I plug it into the harness??????
Did you get this sorted?
Anychance theres a second part to this video where you hook the wires to the bike and engine?
Jack Lippin yeah. Literally the next video in the playlist. Engine is still out so I haven’t wired that yet. The wiring video takes care of lights and switches. Once I get the engine in I’ll do a video on the rest.

It might be a little white. Got a ways to go. Getting all the stuff out of the way in part 1 will definitely help you. One bridge at a time!
Those fork ears... 🤤
Yeah...aren’t they nice!?
@@KeepOnWrenching don’t mind me while I’m being jealous. 😂
Hey guys, anyone knows how to heat crimp these transparent covers like the factory does?
I do not.
@@KeepOnWrenching :(
Is This the same for a CB360?
I would assume the same ideas apply.
The wire connected to the left nut inside the headlight housing disconnected from my harness I don’t know where it goes.
It’s a ground. Any green hub in the harness will do. There should be a couple 4-ports on a green that you can plug into.
More details are in the next video.

Matt Price ground is ground. So as long as it’s green you should be good!

Will this fit on a 71 cb175
No. You’ll need to find the right harness for your model. I’m sure there are variations but the routing is likely very similar.
@@KeepOnWrenching thanks sparckmoto offers a universal harnesses. It looks very similar to what I need.
