On this set five hooks baited with fresh mullet are cast 1000 yards offshore from the beach by a newcomer to kitefishing. The reel is spooled with 1000 meters of15kg breaking strain spectra line. Good sized snapper are frequently caught when kite fishing from this beach.

hi paul can you run your kite any direction or you got to have the wind behind you because i am at gold coast and the wind come from the ocean in the front of me so i can not use kite ! lucky you ???? haha bye thx mick

Mick Georgas The wind needs to be at least 10 degrees offshore for our delta kites to fish and 40 degrees offshore for the pocket sled used in this video.
