I've lived here for over 30 years. It used to be a wonderful quiet hometown, but ever since the film festival came to town they have torn down most of the historic areas, and priced residence out of thier own homes. You love it but for those of us who live here the changes are really just very sad. The quiet is gone and the crime is up. People like myself have been pushed out to the fringe of town just to find not just quiet but affordable housing. Just sad to watch your home taken over and then be pushed out of it...
Bigger events coming to small towns are what ruins a good town, to crowded city's terrible traffic and drivers coming from out of state and not to mention the awful housing market going on because of so many people moving to the area. Driving out locals and making so many of them homeless including myself have been for over a year and just now waiting to get into a 975 sq ft apartment for almost a 1k a month in Springdale... New people to the area must be enjoying it but for us who have been born and raised here cannot say the same.

That Flower Shop you are criticizing has been there for decades and is the most popular flower shop in town!!!!! It has been there long before all the new buildings popped up! 35 people a day move to this area!

And, I like this Flower shop, the people who work in there are really nice. And, it smells good in there, too. I know your beautiful wife likes flowers! On special occasions you can buy her a flower or a bouquet from the grocery store. Or, a gas station. Or, ... Treat her with a symbol of your love! It's for her, not you ... Or, is it? I get resistance to change but the same people gripping about change are also bragging about how much money their kids are making in the local tech start ups or corporate life. There are many factors that make up NWA’s growth not just the Walmart, Tyson & JB Hunt Anchors. Did someone say crime is up? 🤦🏼♂️ you don’t have nice communities like this when crime is going up. All our police, in every town, are pretty phenomenal. Crime is way way down from the 80’s & 90’s. The fact that everyone & their grandmother carry’s a gun doesn’t hurt. Fact is we will all be dead 💀 in the future. We are doing our part in NWA to leave it better than we found it.

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS walmart requires their vendors to operate and live in the area. In doing so, they ensure their employees can afford whatever housing standard the area adopts. So there's esentialy no cap on what people will charge for homes since walmart will always foot the bill.

You saying Springdale was a little wack. That’s because it’s the poorest of the 5 major cities in NWA (Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville, Rogers, and Bella Vista). It’s the worst part of NWA (which is still much better than the worst parts of most cities)
Springdale might be the overall poorest but there are some nice homes in Springdale. They just drove to the poorest part. Never saw Arvest ball park. Children’s Hospital or the newer part of town. All of Northwest Arkansas is like one big city.
Downtown Bentonville is where a 2018 Sci-Fi F.R.E.D.I movie was filmed. In Dec 2020 took a 10hr trip there just to see the landscape and scenes in that movie. Its a very nice and cozy town. It covers alot of area but still seems like a small town to me. I'm from Fayetteville, TN of maybe ~18,000 people . BTW. I traveled during cvid, without vax, without mask just because of my constitutional right to travel.

We feel the same way about burleson Texas and are now moving to Arkansas for Our Jobs and I say that Arkansas is no where near as bad as Texas in population,Taxes,Traffic,and Crime.California has ruined Texas for us.I guess change is different for all of us if we never Experienced anything other than what we've lived.

They tore up the place so badly that it became uninhabitable bc of the radiation. The US government relocated the people to Springdale Ar and now Springdale has the largest Marshallese population outside of the Marshall Islands bc of that.

There is diversity. I've lived in Rogers and Bentonville sense I was 6 years old. It has grown like you wouldn't believe and we have a huge indian population as well as Hispanic. There are all kinds of people that come to work here.
I live in Bentonville since 2002 and majority of population is white. You will see a lot of Indians who work for Wal-Mart. Minority may be like 10%. There are more liberals moving into Bentonville and they try to convert it to little San Francisco. 😆

Take a drive through Bella Vista. It is more in the hills and has several lakes,water falls, trails etc.
I live in Bella Vista part of the year and especially like being up on the bluff and not worrying about floods

Greenwood is a nice little town south farther. N ouachitas n bostons beautifully, u can drive right up mt. Magazine and even stay in the lodge
Lakeland is just like this town except you only drive through the bad parts and trash it
