@@KinoTechUSA69 I'll admit it does get a little hectic during rush hour with people going to and from work but I have driven in much worse traffic. At least here it flows steadily and no traffic jams. I used to work out on the road for several years and have drove in the biggest cities in the country.
@@KinoTechUSA69 You might as well get used to new people moving in the area because there is nothing that you can do about it. And with all of the industries here and big corporations like Walmart and Tyson how can you live here and not expect to see a few new faces if you don't like it then either move or learn to accept it.
@@Casinogamer790please dont bring this kind of a work mindset to Arkansas because it will make Arkansas like California or texas! I like an Arkansas where everything is nicely clean and the people are nice to each other and also have the same faith which is the Jesus Christ. This has been the Arkansas I have been living in ever since I was born but now people like you are moving here and are bringing those woke culture. But please please! Don’t bring that Dallas culture or else you’re gonna make another Dallas up here in Arkansas. God bless you brother!!!!
@@Jounrananiroj I've got news for you pal. People are pretty much the same everywhere. You don't see it because you have never been anywhere else for any significant amount of time. I mean sure you might leave on vacation and what not but as far as trying to live anywhere else I seriously doubt it. And people here aren't that nice to each other either. You only see the fake side of people. It takes an outsiders point of view to see through to their true colors. If you have ever tried to start over some place new and see how people react towards you as an outsider you would know what I mean. You are afraid of anything and anybody who is different than what you have seen in the little bubble that you grew up in. You are afraid that new people will try to change your way of thinking and your way of life. You act out of fear and ignorance of the unknown. You make false assumptions not based on facts but a deep rooted fear of outsiders. After all you don't know me or even what my mindset is but yet you make judgements against me and others that you know absolutely nothing about going off of a simple comment about traffic for God's sake. That just shows how closed minded you really are. You are a product of your small town environment. You are probably one of those who are fixated on outward appearances and never willing to look past the cover to see the good in people you don't know. You should give people a chance instead of trying to discard them or write them off over petty little nonsense things that don't amount to anything anyway just because it doesn't align with your point of view. And you are living in an area that is growing at a rapid pace due to job opportunities and a declining economy of course new people with all kinds of different lifestyles and perspectives will be moving there from all over the country and the world. What do you expect? There is nothing you can do about it. You either get over it and go on or get the hell out plain and simple. The world doesn't revolve around what you and people like you think. The sooner you learn that the better off you will be. Keep in mind that many of the people moving there are doing so because they don't agree with the politics in their home states.
You know, I had actually heard that before that Bellav vista has never had a tornado on record. But I can’t find any credible sources to show me for sure. Do you have a source that I should know about?
@@LivinginBentonville Yes, I do have a source. It's an interactive map for each state that you can zoom in on for specific areas. I have posted a reply twice now and both have been deleted. Perhaps TH-cam does not like the link I am providing?
The title should actually read "10 Reasons Everybody is Preferring to Move to Northwest Arkansas." I couldn't imagine wanting to move to the lower half of the state. It's a completely different world.
Different strokes for different folks… Many people move to the state … And different parts of the state for multiple different reasons… Not just northwest Arkansas. Thanks for your input and thank you for watching
We just moved here from Atlanta and it is a different world! It’s like time stood still in the 70’s here! The local and state governments clearly don’t care to spend money here. On the other hand, the people are super nice and neighborly and the nature is beautiful like Atlanta minus the humidity! We moved to be closer to our daughter and family and that’s always a good thing!
Thanks for your comment and input my friend. Every town has its positives and negatives. agree…more $ spent on updating infrastructure, roads and power lines alike. Thx for watching and welcome to NWA
Thanks for your input. The only thing constant in life IS change. If you were to move, where would you go and how long would you expect that place to be the same before it changes too? Not trying to be harsh my friend, just the reality of life is that nothing ever stays the same. Thank you for watching.
Because they are turning it into a version of Cali, notice the speakers accent he’s not a native or a converted Arkansan. B/c if he was he wouldn’t be advocating for it to turn into just another blue shit hole.
For those considering relocation: Please identify why you are seeking a move. Are you running away from something or to an opportunity? The unique culture, weather and lifestyle is this way for a reason. You must assimilate, otherwise you are simply bringing your problems to a new location.
22 yrs in the Army, made a full circle back but I Love Texas but the weather is hot has balls. We go hiking and camping there a lot. Y'all have a beautiful state, from a Texas deplorable...
Thanks for the comment, my friend. Arkansas can get pretty toasty as well, but apparently nowhere near as hot as the great state of Texas. Thank you for watching.
I lived in rogers before i49 about 1980 and moved back there from ks in 2019 and the change was overwhelming the rent on a 2bd house went😊 from 150 a month to 1400 a month
I live in NE Oklahoma, my husband works for a company based in NW Arkansas, we’re waiting for the day we can relocate there. Hopefully we will be able to get to a smaller town in Carroll County while working in bentonville. NE Oklahoma is getting an influx of people moving from CA and TX and it’s changing, I hope the same doesn’t happen there!
I hope the infrastructure grows with the population boom between fayetteville to joplin. Plus. As people move in. Prices go up. So your low cost living is short term.
You are correct my friend… Almost everybody and their brother talks about how the infrastructure is lacking and or behind the times. And I don’t doubt it either… Fast-forward 10 years from now and it’s going to get quite pricey, especially Northwest Arkansas.
If looking at Northwest Arkansas as an option I would highly suggest you brush up your LinkedIn profile, résumé, start making connections with people in the vendor(CPG) or Walmart Community. what are you finding for opportunities on sites like indeed.com?
@@LivinginBentonville I would like to know if there are sustainable state or government jobs with a retirement pension fund. My current career is with the state of California in the fields of Criminal Justice. I am willing to take a large pay cut and settle down in the more relaxed midwestern states due to life goals as long as there are competitive or reasonable retirement funding with the Arkansas jobs. I also do not mind having change in careers as long as it can help me sustain affording a home to buy as well as paying for the necessities in life.
That’s a great question and unfortunately, I’m unequipped to be able to help provide a succinct response. Other than checking out job boards your guess is as good as mine, my friend. Have you had any luck finding a little bit more about what you’re looking for?
I live in the NWA area as well and agree with everything covered, but I will say for anyone wondering - on the weather portion you are usually going to have a week of zero to maybe as low as negative ten every winter, and summers are no joke. I was grilling for the fourth in 110 heat index, which can stick around for weeks at a time in summer. You sort of get used to it after awhile, but it will never feel good thanks to the humidity. It will feel like a hot, wet blanket covering you the second you step out the door and leave you sweating for hours after if you have to do anything labor intensive outside for any amount of time. It's something to take into account if you are used to lower temps or a drier type of heat, wear light clothes that quick dry and always have water on hand and try to stay in the shade when you can.
Thank you very much for your input. I would agree. This summer has been hot a little earlier than it typically is toward the end of July. Thank you so much for watching.
I live in the river valley and see Texas plates everyday on I40 and I49. Everything in this video is accurate!I do welcome new people but I will add, Benton and Washington counties are getting more blue in their politics every year. People, if you are moving from an area that is in turmoil from left wing political views and you continued to vote in that way, then don't move here and mess this area up in the same way. The definition if insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Look up whats happening to Austin Texas...
Thank you for your input, my friend. I do try to make videos as accurate as possible with real facts, statistics, and of course, many first-hand accounts. We are in a country where we have freedoms of having our own opinion and voice, and even more, so how we interpret the world around us. For goodness sake, there’s 75 (not an actual fact, no clue how many)different kinds of churches that all are some form of the Christian Faith lol if we didn’t have different opinion, they would all be the same church. :-) same goes for politics, restaurants, schools, what is truly entertainment and what is not. I get your point however. Keep in mind that just because someone is moving from Maybe a politically charged state does not mean that’ That is the only reason they are moving to Arkansas. Could very well be family, finances, we’re just a straight up change. I do understand the tone of your message, my friend. Thank you for your input and thank you for watching.
@@LivinginBentonville We must be real, the influx of those with the DEI progressive mindset will eventually bring chaos and social regression to the areas of their migration, Austin TX is a prime example. People are leaving the state of CA by the hundreds of thousands and various liberal/progressive areas bringing their baggage to the Bentonville/Rogers area this very moment. They'll never outrun the problems they create...when they learn that, things get better for them, if not, here we go, just look at Austin. We all understand the free choices in lifestyle and religion are personal and varied and protected by the constitution, that is a given! Personally I do not subscribe to any "faith", I could care less what the religious people or the gays do in their own time, not my business. Live and let live, likewise we do not need the new progressive racism, DEI, etc, it is actually regressive. ;-) Here in Northwest AR we succeed by merit alone, nothing else matters. Settled people will move out of desperation, a need arises, the need to escape high crime, high taxes and tyranny, then while seeking a "change" many will bring their baggage/mindset that caused the chaos in the place they are fleeing. Be the change you want to see! Thank you for the video, well done.
I’m not sure if you’re serious. JB Hunt, Walmart, Tyson, Simmons, SurewayNWA, Pam Transport…..many broker companies to support owner operator, and many that drivers work directly for the company. Many others just up the street in Joplin MO.
Being centrally located in the nation it is trucking CENTRAL in NWA. JB Hunt is HUGE...there are many freight and reefer jobs here (Tyson chicken too) and much more.
I appreciate the compliment. It truly is as simple as finding what people are looking for, going and getting the answers for them, and putting it in a video :-) I hope to be as accurate as possible. Thanks again for watching!!
That’s a great question, my friend. With pent-up demand for buyers, low inventory, lowering interest rates potentially in our future I would bet as an investor you better buy something now as opposed to waiting for the traditional Buyer market to heat up then you will be in much more competition with others. In my market in Northwest Arkansas, there are opportunities to be had, however, people are still getting top dollar for their homes investment or not
Apparently the house the my dad was born in is still standing in Mt. Ida Arkansas. We live in Washington state and my dad and his brother went back there to visit family and saw that their parents house was still there.😁👍
Apparently so! Haha Yes, every single one of those things you mentioned you’ll find here in the Natural state. ….oh…and don’t forget the spiders. (Black widow and brown recluse spiders)
Arkansas does have cold winter days, but not a whole lot, i look it up ,during winter months in Arkansas the average temperature is around 45 degrees and also Arkansas average around 3 inches of snow about every year
Unfortunately my friend I do not… That’s about 3 1/2 hours away from me. Let me know if you need me to help get connected with someone over there. Thanks for watching.
Well…lol…explain in the video who is moving to AR, where they’re moving from, and quite a few reasons as to why they are doing so…. What am I missing? Thx for watching
Why do none of these TH-cam videos not mention northeast Arkansas? Jonesboro is one of the fastest growing cities in Arkansas. Jonesboro is a college town with lots going on. Jonesboro is a city of 70,000 plus people, but on any given day has 270,000 people in it. Being a hub community, people from all over northeast Arkansas, and southeast Missouri, come to Jonesboro for multiple reason. Anyway, northwest Arkansas is not the only place is Arkansas that has it going on.
I’m not sure about the other channels, but my channel is only about Northwest Arkansas. My goal is to help people who are looking to move to this region Have a better understanding of it’s positives, negatives, etc.… this video specifically is why people are moving to Arkansas in general, then relating as to why they are moving to Northwest Arkansas. Jonesboro is 200 miles away… Not my area of expertise… again, that’s why I’m not including it in my videos. Thanks for watching
Yes, Conway is a college town with University of Central, Arkansas, Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College. I’m curious as to what data youre finding to support Conway as one of the fastest growing towns in AR… Data is important to me and drives a lot of my conversation. Thanks for watching.
Although just a little outdated, (2022), I'm going by the website "Little Rock Public Radio and the U.S. Census Bureau they refer to. The 2022 population of Conway was 67,617 and growing ... I have lived in Faulkner County for over 45 years, and 45 years ago, the population was only 9,000 with a drive in movie and a Dog & Suds Restaurant.I see many California license plates here do to the great "California Exit" @@LivinginBentonville
I wanted to point out U-Haul statistics are probably a little skewed because think about the military constantly using their trucks to move where the government needs them so I don’t know just throwing that out there
Yes sir there are those outline factors that probably aren’t weighed into some of those statistics however, this is what U-Haul’s report is from individuals renting U-Haul on a one-way trip. Other data that is probably slightly skewed is license bureau, statistics of transferees from changing their license plates from one state to another… Many people move states, and have yet to change their license plates… Thank you for pointing that out and yes, we can only be as accurate as the information provided to us. :-) Thank you for watching
I'm one of those license changes that happened in 2022 when I sold my house in Florida and moved to Arkansas. I watched my city of 8000 in Florida grow to 275k over a period of 50 years. People started pouring in in the 80's because housing was cheap and job opportunities were high. By 2022, I felt like a stranger in my hometown. These people moved in complaining about how awful it was wherever they came from and immediately set about turning my hometown into the dump they moved away from. I chose Arkansas for several reasons, but the biggest was the taxes and small town life. I bought a reasonable home, and the taxes are literally 1/20th of what I used to pay. I'm starting to see more and more home sales here for houses smaller than mine with less land and plenty of California or Texas license plates. It's reminiscent of 1980's Florida, and it's scary. I foresee a future here of traffic, violence, and crime, just like what I escaped. Fricken sucks, and I am likely going to sell within the next 3 years to avoid the BS I see coming. I've lived this nightmare before. The house two doors down is 400 square feet smaller than mine, it's on a standard lot, and sold last month for 100k more than I paid for my house 2 years ago on 1/2 an acre. Taxes are going to skyrocket with these new home values. It's sad to me because I like it here.
A smaller town with absolutely zero opportunity for growth. I thought I'd found it, but now they've built a Texas Roadhouse and a Whataburger near the exit from 67. Those companies don't just pop up for no reason. They know something. I'll find a place with no potential, like Greenbrier, if I stay in Arkansas. I have a friend in Kansas who lives in a town of 250. He's been there his whole life. They have a gas station and a blinking yellow light, that's it. Maybe that's the place for me? The United States is very big and very empty between the Mississippi and the Sierra Nevada, north of Oklahoma, on up. Maybe a patch of desert would suit me? I wonder if I can get Google Fiber or AT&T fiber out in the Mohave? My point is, there are plenty of places in this country nobody goes to on purpose. I'll find one and I'll go there.
I totally agree with you Ted. I’ve lived in NW Arkansas most of my life when not serving in the military and the outsiders are completely changing the tranquility of NW Arkansas. We have one of the world’s largest corporations here along with 3 other corporations that are some of the largest in the country and they have contributed immensely in shaping the area to what they would have it regardless of how Benton counties residents feel about it. Benton County is one of the few in the state that requires building permits Count wide. The reason they do that is so that they can report to the county assessors office immediately when you make an improvement to your property. One of the craziest things I’ve seen within NWA is the desire to build a bike path at every turn yet our road infrastructure isn’t keeping up with the demand. I predict within the next 10 years the congested traffic situation will be no different than much larger cities. I have the same inclination that you do about moving out of NWA. I desire a quiet life with as little anxiety as possible. Though the property I own was Rural and secluded just 10 years ago, now the city limit is a little over a mile from me. Then with the planning commission approving large scale quarry mining nearby, the Dump truck operations have moved in and robbed the peace and quiet and even robbed the enjoyment of listening to a single whippoorwill singing in the night. You’re right about there still being places that lead the quiet life. Myself, I’m looking at buying property in the Calico Rock area.
@Shiloh8548 it just sucks, I know man. NWA is basically California now from what I have heard, and I don't mean politics. California wants a permit to change your doorbell.

Ok I'll ring you up after things settle down after Mom goes. I'll be headed back to St Paul Yukie today. I have to do something it's a real pit and I'm weary...
I've lived in AR since '85, and retired here in '13. The area I retired to was considered a 'best kept secret' for retirees - by of all organizations, the US government. I own 10 acres and live on a lake - one of the clearest in the midwest. The only problem with the quad cities area of NW Arkansas is that they will eventually become purple, then blue. It's only a matter of time. That and the infrastructure is lagging behind the growth. Screw EV's, you don't want to go there no matter where you live. Gas prices are low here, even in very rural areas. So are electric and liquid propane and natural gas prices. And property taxes are low, but you will pay personal property taxes each year on the 'toys' you own. A downside is good paying jobs unless you are in the quad cities. Yes, I did my career here, and in of all places, southern Arkansas. I wouldn't recommend the southern half of the state, but there are many reasons for that if you'll search. For conservatives, AR is the place to be. Good and relaxed gun laws and home/personal protection laws. Great outdoors activities. Moderate weather in the northern half of the state, with hot humid summers but easy winters. Politics. Just about everyone in office is a republican, and it's not easy for RINO's to go against that. We have a much better governor in Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and that means Trumps eyes are on us-for obvious reason.
Thank you for your input. I appreciate your touching on the controversial topics but not adding drama and or ideology to the comment. You’d be surprised how many people think they can use my channel as a public complain session about whatever they feel they want to complain about lol. Perspective is needed for people who are looking to make a move, but negative talk and being rude does not have a place on my channel. :-) Thank you so much again for your input and watching the channel. Hope you’re doing well.
I won’t my friend. There are some that get deleted on my channel because they’re just plain rude and not helpful. This persons opinion was well written, hit on some controversial topics but they didn’t bring a thick layer of drama to their statement. Although I don’t always agree to what ppl post on my channel, this is not their place to scream drama and fuel a fire to theirs and others political, religious, sexual preference, blah blah views. This channel is to be constructive, factual, and useful to inform others about Arkansas(mainly NW Arkansas). Thx for watching!
I appreciate the compliment. Once drama comes in all rational Thought, common sense, logical decision-making goes out the window. Again, people are coming to this channel To be educated on facts and statistics, logical information… If they want to go into the drama of politics and their personal feelings and ideologies, this is not the place for that lol. Thanks again for watching and hope you’re finding this information useful
Text me your address and I’ll bring over a listing agreement and a for sale sign. Let’s go!! Kidding…sort of…. Where do you have your sights on moving to? Thx for watching.
There are lots of job opportunities but the pay compared to the price of living is 💩!!! Pay has not changed much in the last 20 years but the prices on EVERYTHING have quadrupled.
Thank you for your input. Not sure where exactly you’re speaking about in particular but I can only assume it’s northwest Arkansas given how expensive everything is there. I would agree 100% that Northwest Arkansas is very expensive in comparison to the rest of the state. However, even here in NWA, you don’t have to live downtown Bentonville to live in Northwest Arkansas. One cannot expect to live in the best school district, downtown, on multiple acres, in a huge house and not pay through the nose for something like that. I also agree, wholeheartedly that the cost of everything has increased… But that’s just not here in Arkansas. That’s everywhere in our country. Thanks for watching
@@LivinginBentonville yes, I live in NWA but not Bentonville. I’m realistic on what to expect, NWA however is not. The reality is unless you’re a business owner or work for Walmart you better have several sources of income or you’re going to struggle.
I wish ppl were moving here, well cool ppl at least. Arkansas can’t shake it’s poor reputation sadly, I have not a single friends that wants to move to Arkansas. Pretty sure most ppl could not find it on a map.
You bring up a very valid point my friend. And that could quite possibly be so. However, I didn’t have analytics to be able to provide in this video from other moving companies. Especially to Northwest Arkansas they’re probably is a fair amount of corporate relocation that is not done using U-Haul or Penske trucks :-). Thank you very much for your input and thank you for watching
I wasn't necessarily looking for a specific stat. It was just kind of a presumption that kids moving back and forth might be included in the U-Haul statistics. I live in Little Rock and my son graduated from Fayetteville.
I bet it does in some part. And one of the reasons I brought in the license bureau statistics about people changing their plates to give some additional support to the amount of people moving to the state outside of U-Haul data.
Now make one that says "10 reasons everyone is moving AWAY from Arkansas" that would be more realistic. Everyones getting priced out thats native to the state.
Funny, you should mention that… That is one of my upcoming videos. :-) More so on why people regret moving here, but I could probably tie in some of why natives are leaving. Thanks for your input and thank you for watching
Telling the truth is different than exaggerating your personal feelings. And yes, if it’s not helpful and constructive, I will delete the comment. Thanks for watching
Exactly, he erased my comment, following the same line, as a former commissioner whom lived & owned a business in Bentonville, whom left due to the insanity that the 05 Walmart vendor mandate caused, one which destroyed the town Sam Walton had tried for so long to protect, by keeping out all the vendors, I was fortunate enough to become acquainted with Sam and we’d spoke a few times about his vision to keep bentonville as the picture book small town he loved. I believe he’d be rolling in his grave if he could see that Bentonville has become completely unrecognizable…. I will say at least the channels operator partially honest about the elevated cost of living, except the fact that NWA has / is driving the cost of living up throughout the entire state & most the people I’ve seen living anywhere within 100 mile radius (& growing) of NWA can no longer afford to live in their areas on Walmart, Tyson, ect. wages, unless of coarse your one of the west coast transplants that they are hiring at or near west coast wages… Furthermore, the reason that Mississippi has the lowest cost of living is because that it’s also the poorest state in the union, a position that used to teeter between Arkansas & ol’ Mississippi, that’s why they have the lowest cost of living,,, Economics 101 but it’s okay they don’t mind displacing the families that’s lived here for generations with the prospects of a new state to drive into ruin like they did the ones they are fleeing… like perhaps California, and while doing so pushing all the native Arkansans out of the area is part of the plan… and nwa used to be inflation proof due to the huge economic impact & growth the area had, but it’s now in its own housing bubble worse than the one that caused the08 collapse, even in areas far removed from NWA are being effected by this bubble because the realtors are driving it,,, the fort smith area has had a huge influx of people paying way more for houses than their worth and buying them “as is” from areas like California &. Arizona, ect. Theirs a lady that bought the house next door to my mom’s for $135k that had been sold just 2 years prior for $68,000. The only thing the buyer did was spray paint the brick exterior, and put up some cheap crown molding, and rent it out for two years prior to resale and I’m pretty sure the same realtor was involved in both sales… needless to say the new owner has some buyers remorse… after encountering the plumbing issues, and the like, now she’s trying to sell it for $200k…”As is”… and she’ll probably get it since the city is building a huge water park with the entrance 100yrds away from her house…
I just saw this video, and I will say, these are all of the reasons I left Delafornia. In regards to real-estate prices, here in Mountain Home, it varies quite a bit. My little neighborhood had 10 houses 4 years ago and now we're over 24 homes. The average price to build up here is 265.00-285.00 per a square foot, and I'm perfectly good with that. However, if you do come here to get away from it all, do not bring your politics. If you do, you will get chased out of town faster than you got here.
That is correct my friend in that there are more people here that have religious values and are open to talking about it. Now I wouldn’t say that everyone is going to bring it up in every conversation, but it might be more prevalent here than other places for sure. Thanks for watching.
I delete comments that are speculation and not factual. Having a story about something that happened one time somewhere at some point in time does not count as fact. :-) Again, if it’s not helpful to the conversation, constructive, demeaning, rude, yes, I will delete the comment. And if need be block you from the channel. I hate to do that because people need to see perspective, but they don’t need to hear the drama. Thanks again
Hahaha let’s drop in here a lovely detail Arkansas pays crap if you don’t have a degree. It’s stupid expensive to live in NWA if you don’t have an “import” job. Affordable housing in Benton county doesn’t exist. I was born here I’m single and can’t afford an apartment. If you’re a double income home go for it or have a six figure job 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience. I agree, it’s not cheap to live in Northwest Arkansas especially if wanting to live in Bentonville, Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers. However, there are many affordable places to live in Benton and Washington counties and moreover in the rest of the state of Arkansas than there are in the cities named above. “Affordable housing “as you had mentioned is a subjective term person to person unless we’re talking about what the government considers “affordable housing” with their subsidized programs. I hate to break it to you, my friend, it’s not just Arkansas that “pays crap” to those without a college degree. APLU recently did a study of Young adult income earners that was nationwide, not just Arkansas. Their findings were that the median income of those without a college degree is 84% less than those with a college degree. Said another way, those with college degrees (in their sample set of young adults) earn $36,000 more per year than those without. Thanks for watching
We just learned that the minimum wage for a waiter or waitress in AR is $2.68 per hour! A lot of women work in construction here because it pays $20-25 per hour! The same goes for the grocery store workers! They now are asking retired people to come back out of retirement and go work in a grocery store! I was wonder why I saw so many elderly people at the store here!
I don't know about that. My daughter makes more starting out at Chick fil a with a GED than I did as a new RN in Florida 10 years ago. To me it feels like the pay is 3 xs better here in NWA than Florida
Even if you have a degree it the same bs. I have 2 degrees in ag. Both heavy in the sciences. Did research for most of my career. Most good paying ag jobs are non existent. I am experienced in many areas beside ag and have applied for numerous positions in biology, conservation, environmental, and many jobs that I am capable of doing well.....no dice. In my opinion there is not much place for "old soul" type folks here. I'm sure many will disagree but I have lived hear 30 years and have watched it change.....some good some worse.
Plus the hundreds of illegals not our fault though - I live in Mississippi County Arkansas -- largest county in the state by area not population. Here there have been many arrest of mutinational newbies that like to drink and drive - without insurance or license or registration. Every day -
Lots of issues facing our country, unfortunately. That being one of them. I remember about 15 years ago one in four motorist in Arkansas was uninsured. now it’s closer to only around 8% according to information I can find online. However, as you mentioned, there is an influx into our country of illegals and I don’t know what their thoughts are on insurance or practice. however, yes, obtaining a drivers license is a whole other issue. Probably good practice, Regardless, is defensive driving. Thanks thanks for watching.
They been in nwa since the late 80’s but those were the ones that Tyson was bussing in.the long known and running joke all over Arkansas was INS. (Now ICE) would round them up on Friday ,& Tyson would send the white buses to Texas and have them back to work by Monday, but not for free, the sad part, it wasn’t a joke, they would get busted from time to time, they would fire some middle manager @ corp office pay a fine to Feds, hire the manager back with a new job title a couple weeks later with a nine raise for taking the hit. And go back to business as usual, and Walmart is just as bad…. Records record profits every year yet most all of their hourly employees are on public assistance.

I miss Arkansas so much❤️🩹 I wish I could come back but if I did my life would be at risk because of my ex-husband. I miss living in Arkansas everyday and I miss everything about living there. It was my home for so many years. I’ve felt so depressed and alone since I left because, my whole life was there including the best job I ever had and it was passion and I loved working it too. I haven’t been able to allow myself to even try to do the same job in the new state that I moved to because, it just wouldn’t be the same but I am trying to find the position here although I feel so out of place. I pray that god will somehow allow me the chance to come back home and get to truly live life again. Thank you for sharing this video because it helped me to feel closer to home and a little better just hearing about it. I miss driving on the interstate to work early in the morning and getting the chance to see the sunrises and sunsets and listening to klove. I have a lot of pictures of videos from when I would drive from my dash camera and watching those videos sometimes helps me to feel closer and better too. ❤️🩹🥹😇🥰

Fun fact: Bella Vista has not had a tornado since before 1950. Being in the hills helps break up the tornadoes apparently.

Live and let live, likewise we do not need the new progressive racism, DEI, etc, it is actually regressive. ;-)
Here in Northwest AR we succeed by merit alone, nothing else matters.
Settled people will move out of desperation, a need arises, the need to escape high crime, high taxes and tyranny, then while seeking a "change" many will bring their baggage/mindset that caused the chaos in the place they are fleeing.

That’s a great question, my friend.
Other data that is probably slightly skewed is license bureau, statistics of transferees from changing their license plates from one state to another… Many people move states, and have yet to change their license plates…
Thank you for pointing that out and yes, we can only be as accurate as the information provided to us. :-)
Thank you for watching
Where are you going to move to that someday wont also turn into another growth town?
@@OzarkMountainKing Mojave is full of solar panels now. It's disgusting!

St. Paul, MN? We lived in Waconia for a few years. All in your timing, my friend… I’ll be here when you need me
I've lived in AR since '85, and retired here in '13.

Do these statistics include all the kids going to Fayetteville?
Some stats are very general for the state. What stat are you looking for in regards to kids moving to Fayetteville and I might be able to help?
I wasn't necessarily looking for a specific stat. It was just kind of a presumption that kids moving back and forth might be included in the U-Haul statistics. I live in Little Rock and my son graduated from Fayetteville.
I bet it does in some part. And one of the reasons I brought in the license bureau statistics about people changing their plates to give some additional support to the amount of people moving to the state outside of U-Haul data.
Nice city
Thx. And thx for watching!
@@LivinginBentonville thank you for the video and kindness

I will say at least the channels operator partially honest about the elevated cost of living, except the fact that NWA has / is driving the cost of living up throughout the entire state & most the people I’ve seen living anywhere within 100 mile radius (& growing) of NWA can no longer afford to live in their areas on Walmart, Tyson, ect. wages, unless of coarse your one of the west coast transplants that they are hiring at or near west coast wages…
Furthermore, the reason that Mississippi has the lowest cost of living is because that it’s also the poorest state in the union, a position that used to teeter between Arkansas & ol’ Mississippi, that’s why they have the lowest cost of living,,,
Economics 101
but it’s okay they don’t mind displacing the families that’s lived here for generations with the prospects of a new state to drive into ruin like they did the ones they are fleeing…
like perhaps California, and while doing so pushing all the native Arkansans out of the area is part of the plan… and nwa used to be inflation proof due to the huge economic impact & growth the area had, but it’s now in its own housing bubble worse than the one that caused the08 collapse, even in areas far removed from NWA are being effected by this bubble because the realtors are driving it,,, the fort smith area has had a huge influx of people paying way more for houses than their worth and buying them “as is” from areas like California &.
Thx for watching
I know exactly where that Casey's is

Be prepared to hear all about Jesus from nearly everyone in every conversation
That is correct my friend in that there are more people here that have religious values and are open to talking about it. Now I wouldn’t say that everyone is going to bring it up in every conversation, but it might be more prevalent here than other places for sure. Thanks for watching.
@@LivinginBentonville I'm in Bentonville to see my Mom's passing. Might want to move here. How do I get hold of you?
Sounds good to me. 😁❤️

I would move from California because Arkansas respects the Second Amendment and more Christians & Conservatives.
Come on over. Thx for watching
Looking to relocate or make a move in the Northwest Arkansas area. Reach out to me at, 479-319-7229 or Anthony@IGNWA.com, I would to have a conversation how I can best serve you.
I would've moved there if Big Ed hadn't moved there first.
Big Ed?
@@LivinginBentonville Google him; he is on 90 Day Fiance. Big loser!

@@LivinginBentonville I just thought I'd give you a heads up. His real name is Edward Allen Brown and he supposedly just became a realtor there in Arkansas. Bought a house in Bentonville

Do not move to Arkansas....... ticks and chiggers for most of the year. They go on your dog, your horse and on you where the sun does not shine.
Lol. I love this comment… Even more so in that I have three chigger bites currently… Two places I’ll tell you about the other I won’t mention ha ha. Chigger bites underneath both armpits coincidentally… I’ve only ever had one tick on me personally, but we don’t have pets nor do we live in the woods. Great advice, my friend. Thank you for watching.
Low crime rate and Southern manners!
You got it!
Little rock murder rate per capita is HIGHER THAN CHICAGO I live here it's not that safe 😂
Sorry to hear about this for you, my friend. Arkansas is a beautiful place and we certainly love it… that sounds like maybe not as much as you do. Thanks for your input and thank you for watching.
