oxoc ah Well you are incompetent,
Because only the wisest artist would know that it’s not who draws the better chair or who draws the better human. It’s who portrays them the most exaggerated way.
We humans are exaggeration, color is an exaggeration, everything you know is exaggerated.
So abstract is a light bulb in our dark narrow heads, since it’s color we know it but the patterns the texture the scene we don’t know. So it’s a point of interest. And with realistic art is that even if you see the most detailed stippling of a human to date you’re likely to forget in less than a week... because when you see the stippling you know what that is you’ve seen many times before and you look to your left and see one right next to you analyzing the same thing and failing to realize that it’s bland, boring, and exhausting. What is the point spending 20 dollars to see an articulate painting of a child when they’re all around you. I know some are documents important historically but to the spectrum is just downright ridiculous how are you supposed to tell me that you see nothing while looking at Pollok but when you look at the Mona Lisa which is amateur painting 1st, you’ve seen it thousands of times on your phone 2nd, Leo uses the sorriest colors which I still give credit because they’re not primary colors which you probably couldn’t get back then either but that doesn’t give Leo a set back because he was probably a thousandare during the 1600 era 3rd. No hate though. So don’t tell me “a kindergartner could do this.”

    • @therealOXOC
      @therealOXOC 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Don't fucking compare this shit to Pollock. Pollock had skills. This person can only pour paint on a canvas which every kindergarten kid does just as well when shown how to do it. I get much more form a Dali painting then from some person with no skills playing with paint.

I do believe there is a difference between real abstract and fake abstract, a real abstract have its own concept, like the reason of tools used on it, the color used, and even the media it is painted on. Fake abstract follow no concept and just a bunch of paintings made with no particular reason, those who cant even explain their concept on the painting should not be called a true artist. At the end abstract can only be truly understood by the artist who made it, painting abstract is almost the same as letting your heart to paint anywhere with any color or tools, ultimately an art convey the artist feelings through a physical form.

A lot of people seem to think abstract art is “easy” and I honestly beg to differ. Yes the idea of scraping or pouring paint around a canvas seems simple, but knowing what looks good is a whole nother animal. Good color palettes, techniques, creativity are all needed to make something look pleasing to the eye, and that stuff isn’t easy and usually takes lots of practice!

I'm an amazing teacher and in fact many teachers contact me, from other districts to "steal" my ideas and curriculum. I have parent after parent praise me for encouraging their children and helping them to develop. My students create gifts for me, which I've kept every piece, and some stay in touch through their parents for years after they leave my classroom. I teach my children that art is subjective so its ok to like things that other people do not. I explain where each form of art comes from the views and ideas of society with each introduction and present day. So, Carlos it is you I pity because your comment shows how closed minded you are not me. I love every one of my students. Oh and Carlos, my students are all given the opportunity to do abstract art and I have yet to have one actually think it was worthwhile or fun. As it was stated to me. "anyone can do this", "its boring", "Its not really creative" "We aren't doing this again are we?" I make sure that my students are able to explore and create all art forms. Acrylics, water colours, clay, wire, mixed media, why Carlos we have even had food art.

If it wasnt a thing it wouldn't have a name, method, or origin. Abstract art has its own sense of beauty. Thats no different than the people who say that a poem isnt a poem if it doesnt ryhme, and yet today those rhymeless stanzas deliver such an extensive depth of meaning that even without matching "The" to "He" its become one of the biggest forms of writing out there.
And if you didnt know, words are also art.
    Just like Abstract painting.

I read people comments. Some people say there's hate in the comment section which I can't find.

This video ignited my curiosity!! I've always did a little abstract, but with palette knives it's another world!!
What is the song being played? Would like to buy it for my music library...I am a pianist. Thanks for your tutorials.

I love to paint, but I can't paint a house, person, animal or a landscape, cloud or river...they just don't look real...abstract is what I do....there is no wrong (although sometimes you know that it has not really worked) An abstract is a moment in time YOUR time

People are so negative. This clearly instated that it's a Demonstration. Art is objective. If it's not for you, that's okay. No need to put other peoples work because you don't like it. If you don't like it move on to other videos. For people who never painted before this could be something that they can perhaps do and be proud of. Just be kind people. I have seen many videos of really awesome things that still got a dislike. I don't get it. Once again. Be kind!

So I don’t like abstract art. Now don’t get me wrong this is very beautiful and it is very calming and interesting to see you make it. It just doesn’t resonate with me. That said I do wonder, what is your inspiration? Do you just do what you think will look nice, or do you have a set plan, or are you trying to get a message across

People say that, a painting should should have an exact field. But they don't know that an abstract without an exact field
    is hanging on there wall.

I think... Not all abstract will sync with our emotions!!! When we see something We feel really connected to that emotions on the canvas!!!

Truly awful. The very least art should be is skillful. I’ve got a six year old at school brings home better and more thoughtful art than this.

At first, when I discover abstract art, I was like "OMG this is not art, it's shitty capitalist shit omg plz no"... THEN, I discover watercolor, and acrylic. And it was soooooo funny to do random abstract stuff on paper. Just... Let your imagination fly away from reality. It's so good to just see the colors blend. You don't care about anatomic rules, or perspective... You.. Relax, and enjoy.
So, people who said that this painting is useless and not good, not art : Try before insult. Take a paper, a brush, some water and paint and R E L A X.
    You'll see, that's cool, and satisfying :)
By the way I love the result of your painting! Particulary the little white lines.
(Excuse my bad english I'm French haha)

I should do more stuff like this. I've very rarely done abstract art, mostly character design and stuff, but color is so beautiful and the fact that it has no rules, it makes me feel very relaxed and happy to watch. The color choice and lines were lovely. It made me think of many different rooms and doors. This is just my personal opinion but I think it could have done without the purple. Beautiful piece, I'd love something like that in my hallway.

I have tried replicating this amazing piece of art but I have not been too successful about it lol. Is there a technique about blending two colors with the palette knife? that’s is what I have struggled with the most.
