They (DC and Disney) claim their firearm rule is because of kids but these figures are for adult collectors, especially when it comes to Mafex and S.H.Figuarts that cost $75-$100, so what gives?

I wish people would give honest reviews if the figure was given to them. So many reviews fake their way so they don't make the company mad. I'm glad you kept the review the same as any other figure.
They do. Super7 gets bad reviews all the time and they send out stuff like crazy.
The Suicide Squad is probably the best DC movie in years, outside of The Batman
It is DC's fault, but i still think that's not an excuse. They still could've given her a hammer or a bat or even the spear or hell how about all three of them, the dumb rule DC has is for guns only, there's no reason for this figure to have ZERO accesories.
I honestly don't understand why they didn't throw a knife or other kind of weapons. We know DC/Warner don't want firearms but I'm confused about the rest of options. McFarlane said something about starting to sell packs of weapons for 7 inches scale, precisely due to this new regulation but I don't like these guys didn't include a hammer or something else.
The gun issue is weird. It would be cool if these companies did a thing were if you bought the figure you could use that receipt or voucher for a gun set. While I don't collect DC much, if I were a big fan I would be pretty annoyed by the company and their decision for adult collectables. I mean, what 12 year old is dropping cash for a Sh. Figuarts?

It is dc rules on the firearms. Mezco been making accessory pack under there name to help out with that.

I collect the SHF dragon ball line too, and the day that Harley arrived, it came along with DBall Launch. Lucky me, the uzi gun that came with Launch fits perfectly on Harley's hands! And as per some pictures, I noticed that a pair of hands actually are made to hold her hair tails not only guns... I know, not so much of a comfort.. but knowledge is knowledge :D
Is this figure in scale and perfectly proportionate with Marvel Legends MCU Movie figures and Mattel DC Multiverse and Signature Collection live action figures?
Trust me, you'd love "The Suicide Squad" it was amazing. Watched it 3 times. The first one gave me brain damage back in 2016 and I do what I can to stay away from that trainwreck

For your question of the day, I like the new suicide squad a lot more than the first one. Though, maybe a spoiler to you, a lot of dead, like a LOT, especially in the first quarter of the movie, which I don't like 😅. Also, if you love Batman, watch The Batman. Probably the most complete version of the Batman that you'll see in the big screen.
You didn't watch The Suicide Squad? It was great! It is not a direct sequel but it is still set on the same universe that's why we have returning actors. Honestly DC has been stepping up their game, I don't mind anymore that their movies are not a continuing story either, just watched The Batman last night and oh boy, was it good.
Yo I got this figure two weeks ago. SHF is so freakin cheap now. I know it’s not news to anyone but holy hell. No accessories to speak off. No guns. No bat, no hammer, no RPG??? Why?! Seriously?!

So for the guns, Warner Bros. has a rule now that no figurine of any kind can have guns. It's the reason why so many McFarlane figures don't come with them now. So, she was probably suppose to get some guns, but the rule happened and they had to take that out, which is why she has trigger hands but no guns for them. It's been that way for all the companies making DC figures. Now I will say Bandai should of added a Bat or something instead leaving it with nothing.
@@Masterplayer1500 I'm aware. I own McFarlane figures too, (Bloodsport in fact, lmao) but it's insanely stupid not to include something else. Inexcusable, even. Even the damn javelin, a big gold spike? But nah.
Lego also banned guns at one point, but. hey they figured out other ways to still give characters "Blasters"....
@@Masterplayer1500 Also I'm wondering if this applies to Hot Toys. ITheir figures get announced like 18 months prior to release, so would that also affect things? Also they're aimed at older collectors (SHF are listed 15+ so even then...)
I also wonder, does this apply to Batman's grappling hook? I think for The Batman most figures got grappling hooks so I don't think it's even an issue. The could just make "blasters" for characters. (Similar to Bloodsport's sci fi guns)
No weapons is unforgivable for an array of hands.
Since Harley Quinn spends so much time in the dark and she drinks heavily, yellowing skin indicative of a liver problem would fit her perfectly!

Yes I saw it, yes it absolutely blew the old movie away. Probably the best DCEU movie and I genuinely think it's at least as good as The Batman, albeit in a completely different way.
I love the way DC movies are getting so good and so different between them at the same time, shows that there's no correct way to tell a superhero story, or any story, as long as you are just passionate about that story you're telling. I'd love to see this kind of diversity on Marvel, and I'm not gonna trash them bc I still like their stuff, although I'll admit that I am getting a little tired of the formula and sometimes they are too confident that we're gonna easily forgive the flaws on their movies.. I mean, we do but I think they could have a little more variety on the visual and writing department, even if they are diverse in the setting they don't really have a lot of variety on the emotional beats (I hope it makes sense).
I can kind of get not giving her weapons cause she actually really didn't use her weapons that much in the movie (wearing this outfit), but it's an action figure and eventhough she didn't really use her weapons (like her fairly iconic hammer, bat, or pistols) she still uses weapons.
Which without spoiling much she uses a rocket launcher, dual pistols, & assault rifles and then there are the weapons that had pretty unique designs & looks, like Javelin's javelin she ends carrying around for most of the movie or a gold trimmed flintlock-like pistol she uses in one scene where she is surprised it was even loaded.
Unless they are saving the weapons for another Harley Quinn release, since she spends most of the movie actually wearing a dress which is when she ends up using most of those weapons.
I heard that action figures are not gonna come with any weapons and that the companies will be replacing weapons with extra that are not weapons..which is insanely stupid, I hope that this is not true.

I didn't like the movie.
It's a well made movie, but stylistically I didn't enjoy it. It's very Gunn. Very over the top violence, overly offensive, and the social messaging/thematic elements aren't for me. I think if you enjoy movies like Deadpool, then you'll like this but I didn't enjoy those movies either for the same reason.

The second suicide squad movie was easily better than the first one. It's a pretty good movie, and I've watched it twice now.

It maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think kids (or anyone for that matter) are more likely to watch the movie or read the comics rather than collecting the expensive action figures.
So I don't think their policy is right on the subject, since they're still depicting violence in movie/comics. all it does, is just forcing collectors to buy extra accessories.
I said it because I recently bought a mafex joker and it only came with a knife 🤣
Yes. The Suicide Squad (and the follow-up Peacemaker series) is awesome. Birds of Prey was pretty rad too, imo. DC is def doing better now, you should give them another shot.
No I was only kinda interested to see a live action Harley Quinn when the 1st one was in the works. I had no desire to see anymore whether the other films were much better or not.
The Batman was amazing!
The mafex dark Knight returns armoured batman was advertised to come with a gun.
It arrived the other week without it. No explanation, still has the trigger fingers and a lot of the online stores selling it still has the image of it under the accessories. Incredibly frustrating.
I recommend seeing the new Batman.

What's with DC and the weapons issue. Surely characters in their comics still shoot at people, use knives and hit each other?
Also, isn't SHF aimed at like 15 years+ whereas something like Legends is a younger age range? If so, then let the adult collectables have weapons!?
I watched both. I liked both, specially the second hour. Harley has no weapons when she's wearing this outfit, if my memory serves.
She had a bazooka, a bag full of weapons and she received that spear thing using this outfit tho
I saw The Suicide Squad, and I like it.
Definitely recommend The Suicide Squad! I saw it about 7 times (just to watch it myself and to show other people) and 3 of those times were in the theater. I saw it in the theater AFTER watching it on HBO Max. It's well worth watching and really enjoyable.
I loved the Suicide Squad movie. It was in my top 10 favorites of the year and I usually watch at least 40 movies a year

Part 2 is good better then the Batman in my opinion
The Suicide Squad was hilarious and shows thay DC/Warner need to let directors do their thing. There was actual stakes this time. Honestly, I hope McFarlane would do this version too
McFarlane did the suicide squad line earlier when the movie was recently released. If you're talking about harley in this particular costume, then no.

No weapon accessories at all? What a let down. I didnt even preorder the Mcfarlane Gotham Knights Red Hood because it doesnt come with any weapon accessories either.
Warner Bros. has a rule that their toys cannot have guns anymore, so any DC figure that is made, high price or low isn't going to come with a gun. It's really screwed with some McFarlane releases. So, third parties become that more important.

@@mviouscosplay Yes. I have that figure too and I definitely didn't remember him having swords but they probably did that to make up for the fact they couldn't give him guns. I'm glad the Storm Collectibles Lobo came out before that policy happened.

Definitely liked The Suicide Squad better than Suicide Squad, check it out. Interestingly, the movie would've been better had they not included Harley. The Suicide Squad was ok imo,but way better than the disaster which was the 2016 version.Aslo, definitely check out The Batman.
