He plays like a seasoned vet. Definitely has some Chris Paul in him, but he's tall. Honestly reminds me of like old Oscar Robertson. Just will take you to his spot like 13-15 feet and shoot over you and use the glass if needed. He has a sneaky fantastic handle but he pulls it out when people think he won't. He doesn't default to over dribbling and I love that.

Idk how he does the smoothness style of play like that. When you watch players like Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, Ja Morant, and Derrick Rose, they make basketball looks difficult with their explosiveness. But SGA does it like a walk in the park. Like he can just shoot, lay up, and outta nowhere he get 30 pts.

  • @jackwenstob3493

No offense @Half Court Hoops, but I wouldn't say that SGA has a "preference" for driving to his left if he is going that way 54% of the time. That is a very balanced attack. On 100 drives if he goes to the left 54 times, as a viewer I could only guess which way he would drive with that information. As well, when you say that on the wing, he "ALWAYS drives to his left about 65% of the time" is a bit misleading because always means 100% of the time, while 65% does not. So is it always, or is it 65% of the time?

Though I agree, I feel like he doesn't need to, when he's the most dominant player in the paint, whom isn't a big. Top 5 in paint scoring, amongst all centers, and Zion is crazy.
      Also, 80% in '22, to 93%! FT % in '23 is insane! 😮
Safe to agree that he will be unstoppable once he takes a few more 3pt per game. That's what makes him great though. He draws many fouls. You can't apply that type of pressure from shooting outside. He's already got multiple moves from every single spot on the court.
This season is going to be 🤯. Motor Case is back too.

I just don't like the foul fishing he does. He drives, and overreacts to any instance of contact. Sometimes he initiates it with the defender, then reacts and gets the
whistle. At this point, they call the slightest bit of contact a foul. Contacted had no bearing on the actual shot attempt, so it ends up being in and one. I feel like defenders either avoid him to avoid fouling out, or he "react-a-flops" to the line. No wonder he is a League Leader in Free Throw Attempts. He shoots free throws like he's big man. It's really disgusting, because he can legitimately hoop.

Dude doesn’t even take a crazy amount of shots most the time but when he does he still crazy efficient. If he took as many shots as guys like Kobe & Russ back in the day, Dude could drop some truly insane numbers & Still makes most of his shots.
