Sorry for the shake cam footage, filmed this with my phone since I didn't have anything else with me. Also the wind was horrendous that's why opted to use music instead of the original audio.
Wow! Seems to be in really good condition! Was the main gun demilled or still intact? What country is it in? Imagine plenty of folks would be happy to bring it back to life. Hope you closed all the hatches when you left. Cheers!
@@edostuff It's a t55. You could probably start that thing by only getting the sludge out of the fuel rails and airing it with new diesel :D Probably runs even if theres a ton of water in the oil sump.
@@TheIdiotPlays Old Soviet tanks have a knack for just being able to start after years, they may be outdated but they were reliable machines. That's why you only see old Soviet tanks puttering around.
It look like the whole unit of tank are still intact, well if the country of origin would possibly interested to resurrect and restore the tank, i think its not so hard for all the Russian made tanks are well convenient in terms of restoration, and even that old 100mm tank gun turret are no longer working, it could be possibly replace and mounted by a more applicable, more modernize and more powerful type of 105mm Rifled tank.gun, in order to become more adaptable to a modern military warfare, same with the functionality of modern light tanks and medium tanks today.
Well...maybe. Every country's laws are different, but once you are in compliance with the law (whatever that means locally/nationally) it's usually just the cost of recovery and transport. After that is rehab costs. There are several companies in the US which do that sort of stuff, at least one is here on TH-cam.
Thanks for filming, in surprisingly good condition

If nuclear explode happen (let's not be happen) for example, this T-55 tank can survive from the nuclear shockwave, right ?

Probably it was abandoned at the end of the Yugoslavian Civil War
Looking where it is. It was probably abandoned during the Battle Of Zadar in 1991
