Syrians are so kind. I met my first Syrian out here in LA, I thought he was too kind till I found out that Syrians are always like that.
Thank you, man, for trying to show my country beautifully, while the whole world seeks to distort its image. Syria is beautiful and will one day return to what it was. This is absolute belief. You can visit the Syrian coast, it is amazing and warm, I hope you have a good time.
Syrian people are V generous & kind
One of the person I've loved most in my life is a Syrian girl her name is Asma Ibrahim. The love I felt for her was unique and I'll never forget that beautiful relationship. The Syrian people are one of the sweetest earth and I hope the conflict ends sooner than later 🙏🏼
Incredible. Inflation is a wild thing. Aside from that, I'd love to visit Damascus. What a place of history!
Marshmallows candy,Bearpaw Danish, fruit drink, pizza ,small water...free 🍵hot tea. In America. That's $20⁰⁰ ,,,with tea $6⁰⁰. Based on nyc prices at cheap of standard shops 😢
But the salary's in Syria not above 30$ for month ! This is the difference and the hard thing to believe 🫤
Whoah, no way! Damascus sounds like a cool place to visit 💯💪✨😊
Happy St. Patrick's Day, tho 🇮🇪 🍀💚🍀🇮🇪
It is
Chris is american
@@ADMG2003 that's cool 🫡
I’m pretty sure they celebrate saint patricks day more in the US than Ireland 😂
@@AuthenticTraveling It does seem to be the case 🤣😎😂
Thank you for visiting my home country ❤❤❤.
Oh man what a loss! I hope i knew about ur travelling here that i could be ur companion in translating and discovering things in Damascus 😢
The "Indian Date" juice isn't exactly what it sounds like. Idk how you got your translation, but the two words meaning "Indian date" (tamr hindi, تمر هندي) in Levantine Arabic actually refers to another plant: which would be tamarind! It's extremely hard to extract juice from dates, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm inclined to believe that you had tamarind juice :D
You are 100% correct
For reference back in early - mid 2019 one USD would get you 515 Syrian liras. Inflation skyrocketed after the pandemic and the Lebanese economy crisis.
In Greece 1$ is almost equal to 1euro we use. We can buy 1.5 litre (0,39 gallons) bottle of water or for example 0.5 kg
(1,10 pounds) of apples. The cheapest food you can possibly buy is a 2.80$ frozen low quality sandwich from small kiosk markets.
It's sad to see that Inflation is so high in Syria but they are kind people
I have been there in summer 2023 and WOW i just cant believe it
I had so much fun being with my faimily and i can tell the economy is just lowering in value everything is getting more expensive
I think i dont know but i think u got overcharged on the date juice
If you are still in syria i can take to some places my friend have a good journey..!❤️ i am in Damascus
I'd like to visit.. can i ask you some questions? :]
❤
Are you looking at yourself in the camera instead of the lens? For some reason it looks off when you film yourself
Syrian economy is completely crushed, I really hope you gave them good tips🙏
Enjoy in my city
I thought the juice atfirst was coffee what a cool looking thing he had the juice in
Jadi laper 🤤
$1 is equivalent to 14,750 Syrian money?? Damn! That's weak! How did the value of their money get so weak? Even Nigerian currency is higher than their money!
🤣
because of war and genocide
Nigerian currency has fallen hard lately... and there's no war. 😂😂
@@dalemsilas8425 Boko Haram.
Because Nato decided to destroy them.
Even right now US backed rebel groups with US military bases are controlling the regions of Syria that has Oil in them...
Now you will find some who compare the prices of some products with others and say that you are being deceived and they will not forget, but this is actually the meaning of things depending on their cost and the place of purchase, but what bothers me is how you can buy things for hundreds of dollars in your countries, and when you come and buy something for a quarter of a cent, you say that we were deceived.
Hello, is there assistance for those in need?
I suppose that the food is subsidised? I mean sugar, wheat etc...
"Indian date" is the literal translation of tamarind lol, in Arabic tamer hind (indian date).
Thnx for the explanation
This maybe a stupid question but is it safe to travel to Damascus now? I am familiar with the civil war but only in Aleppo but never Damascus.
No, it's bloody dangerous
yes Damascus is safe, Aleppo is safe also, but NEVER go to Idlib because thats controlled by HTS terrorists
How much the regime paid you
Prices are unreal but is it a safe place to visit .
you'll be fine in the capital forsure.
Next time buy some candied almond.😋
Tempting
The dollar pizza 🍕 ain’t even a dollar anymore in NYC .
How much per month a family needs to live comfortably in Damascus without rent?
5millions
New viewer, and I must admit I'm worried about you. Please stay safe when you travel.
The marshmallow kid had you pay 5X the regular price. No way it's worth 2 cheese pizzas.
you should come to bangladesh lol
This is what Western sanctions have done to Syria's economy. Even after they waged their regime change war. They also continue to occupy the Northern oil fields, further strangling the Syrian economy.
It seems like you got scammed from that date juice. No way that was 5,000 when a bottle of water was 3,000
where is Kim Jung ?😅
You going direct flight
Bro it’s not Syrian pizza it’s manakish!
It is manakesh not pizza
SHAWERMA used to be 25 Lara before the war in 2013 now its 1400 🤦🏽♀️ parsley used to be 15 not they over 100
Just a question. How much a family of 5 Ned's per month to live comfortably in Damascus without rent?
500 dollars and you will live as king
@@iam594
You have to visit Aleppo and see the castle and all of the vibes down here
Well paid propaganda!
Okay but do you know that average salaries in Syria is 10 dollars/month? Doctors earn maxxx,50.... So when you come from the US of course with your income you will find everything cheaper in a destroyed economy...
People are under poverty in Syria...
I think some of them offered you tourist price, because the pizza thing was much cheaper
No, I'm from Syria and that's the price of the Fatera or pizza.
Dude the city and the vibe looks absolutely shit
Super cheap wow
some guy said that this was 10x prices
actually first kid gave you a price 250 but the adult said 2500
No, he said (alfeen wa khamasmeia) which is literally 2500 S.P .
Correct, he said 2500, not 250.@@ShahdSharbo
Syria must be very poor
Clearly not they have running electricity lol 😂
