    I use maze feeders and puzzles with my English cocker puppy. I use their food during training sessions to condition the good behaviours. I am not always home to give them their meals so anytime anyone doesn’t feel like training the puppy they can use the puzzles. It gets puppy to use their brain and by using the tongue and mouth to work out the food it satiates their need to use their mouth on things. We have noticed our puppy will nap soon after the puzzles vs. hand feeding during training. I usually give my puppy a Kong with frozen food in the crate after training to settle.

    You're absolutely right. I don't get those stupid maze food trays either. They need boundaries just like kids. I was in the vets the other day and a guy must have treated his dog about 20 times when he was waiting to pay the bill. Some people are idiots. End of rant 😂

      Maze feeders are often used to slow the rate of ingestion so as to prevent bloat, which can be caused by the unintentional gulps of air a dog can take whilst eating very rapidly. Not sure where people got the idea that it's simply a fad.

    Hey Craig, a great session this morning. I was just wondering how often should/when should you put the dog in the crate? He does sleep in there at night and during the day after some mental/physical exercise. Cheers Nayan

      Hi Nayan lovely to meet you today. As a puppy my advice would be to put him in the crate when you can’t give him 100% of your attention 🐾🐾👍 he needs to know it’s a safe place where he can chill out

    • @nayanmistry4641
      @nayanmistry4641 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TheDogTherapist likewise, it was great to meet you too, a little star struck, I must admit, having seen you on here 😀. Great, I will be putting him into the crate when I can. I did put him into the crate as soon as I got home after the morning session and he was out like a light. Also your slip lead is working wonders already. Went for an evening walk and it was an absolute pleasure. Cheers 👍

    This is a great help thanks and quite agree!! We have a new puppy now 18 weeks old. Looked on your web site and saw the training lead for puppy and also adjuster lead. I can’t find the video where the adjuster lead is used. So what would you recommend please for indoor and outdoor use for a puppy this size? He is a cavapoochon and very responsive and bright, much to our delight and surprise 🤣. many thanks. Have subscribed 👍

    If my dog has any fear response I ignore it. Don't fuss it, it just thinks its getting a reward for being afraid. It nurtures the fear. If the dog trembles, its to release its fear. Its one of the ways they deal with stress, its no big deal.

    Crates are great for most dogs. But my cocker spaniel had a fear response immediately when left alone from day 1. Held the bathroom in a crate all night no issue. Sat in a bigger crate when I'm in the home office no issue. But leaving their sight was an issue.
    It's not treating them like a baby to have to deal with a fear response.

    Spot on. My thought here, all dogs should have a job / duties. Mine, watch / guard dog, simple one word & hand signals only.
    Here in Denver, Colorado there are crack heads & drug dealers everywhere (Capitol; Hill) . Two shootings this week on my block... My dog knows he has purpose...no snowflakes here.
    Cheers,

    I've been analyzing your TH-cam channel. And find that your content is really good. I also noticed that your title-description-tag is not SEO friendly. Your channel optimization is poor, resulting in a poor SEO score. As a result, your videos are not reaching the right audience, which is affecting your view count. If you want, I can customize your TH-cam channel according to TH-cam terms. So that you can see better results for your TH-cam channel. And I will do onpage and offpage SEO for your TH-cam so that your TH-cam channel videos appear in the top search results of Google and TH-cam. Thanks and I look forward to your response
