Thanks for the kind posts everyone! Most of all thank you James for coming out to see us! We had a great time and I appreciate you showing everyone our story!
Great job about a bunch of great people! I bought my first trains from Peter when I worked in Brooklyn and would talk to him at TCA events. A wonderful man with a wonderful son, Kenny, and Kenny's son. I was so happy when they took over the store in Lynbrook, where I bought a ton of things to build my empire. Keep up the good work, you are doing a great service for the industry.
Great video, Train Land is a great store, with really nice people and great prices. I hope you went there by train...LIRR to Lynbrook. P.S. Did you know that is where Bobby Bacala was whacked?...Frank
Man ... you guys are such 'kids'! LOL! I remember actually GOING to the store in Lynbrook, off of Sunrise Hwy., back in the mid-seventies and onward. until I moved off the Island. They were - and obviously still are - THE TRAIN PLACE on the east coast! The last time my wife and I drove back, I sort of detoured us onto Sunrise Highway, just to show her the store. It is still impressive!!! A great place all around!!! ;)
The service they provide is outstanding, placed an order around noon on Tuesday, at my door in Michigan 2pm today on Thursday. 50 hour's is pretty impressive for processing and shipping something in my book.
Concur with your views on the shop. Been there and in the back shop. Very impressive. The Brooklyn back shop seems even bigger. Bought all my Kato NS Heritage units from Brooklyn.
Watched the video, then went to my local dealer who told me that he was shorted on the latest shipment of Athearn ES44AC's. I remembered your video and found that Trainworld had the number I need, so I placed the order.
Was there the other day, I'm fortunate enough to live 20 minutes away from there, I used to go there all the time as a kid. I don't go there enough, I'm too broke to.
They are an outstanding vendor with great prices and super customer service. I had an issue getting an order filled because I have a billing address in Japan for my credit card and wanted products shipped to Texas where I'm returning to retire. Their anti-fraud policy was making the purchase unlikely. After some emailing explaining my situation I got a personal email telling me they would make an exception to the policy for me. My locos arrived immediately in perfect condition. They now have a customer for life. Really good folks!
Years ago I tried to purchase some stuff by calling the toll free number. I don't remember all that I wanted, that's not important. What IS important is the woman I talked to on the phone wasn't very bright, nor very helpful or professional. She kept asking me to wait and repeat information about what I wanted, then after a long pause, she said she had to start over because she did something wrong and the computer lost all my information. Well, that was my first and last impression of Trainworld/Trainland and their mail order "service." If they can't take an order, why should I expect them to get my order correct? Maybe a business gets so big it can't do what it intends to do.

Been to both many times, Lynbrook being my fav. That's where Bobby Bacala bought it!
I’m 51 years old and I remember buying trains there at 14 years of age. Great people, great store. Must pay a visit soon.

I have been fortunate to live nearby on Long Island and have made countless purchases there. It's a great store!
I’m so lucky to live near this place! I’ve been meaning to visit here for a while!
