Souls didn't invent health potion, checkpoints, lock on and stamina bars 😂. Wukong is more hack&slash like dmc, ninja gaiden and the game in the video. Only soulslike is can see is the UI
This game looks good since the first trailer, im glad the devs are putting the work to make it a best as they can!! difficulty should not be a problem as long as you are having fun with the game, as its not a souls-like if the game is easier its not a problem at all.
Thank you for the preview. I was worried for this game especially when you mentioned Sekiro (which I suck at) but the fact that the difficulty was down makes me feel a little less worried. I thought I would never be able to play Black Myth but I'm having a mega blast with it so highly looking forward to this one as well!
People said Black Myth Wukong is easy as well :D but it is really challenging if you don't explore the areas and get the right armor/weapons and items. Final Fantasy 16 was really easy but had some of the most epic bossfights i have ever seen.
That is a killing technique in Chinese martial arts movies. Put a cage around the head, pull the chain, tighten and rotate the circular blade at the bottom of the cage, and the head can be cut off instantly. This weapon is called the blood drop. In ancient China, it was a special weapon for the emperor's secret agents. It was often used for assassinations. When the person is not prepared, the head is put into the cage and the head is quickly cut off.
This looking much better than Black Myth Wukong. Let's hope they don't make it like it into a boss rush game throwing overly OP bosses at you one after the other. At least this one seems it will have difficulty settings.
it looks very stylish, but like recent TN games this PS5 version's visuals are heavy on image reconstruction (FSR?). Combat looks fast and flashy like Wo Long, a game I really enjoyed. Scaffolding everywhere with bowmen on top also feels very team ninja. Even the title screen with the shrine in the foreground is very reminiscent of Nioh. I love TN games even minor ones like Wo Long, so looking forward to this.
I prefer games in the middle of easy and normal. Don't make it harder, guys. Just focus on fun.😅 How would you compare this game combat to (stellar blade)
I love how you said fun is more important than difficulty, for me personally SOTE just wasn't really fun but I completely overplayed the base game of Elden Ring, I beat Consort Radhan but have no desire to go back into the DLC and I had multiple level 150 builds ready to go but I'm totally drained with Souls right now 😢
I blame Radhan, dude sucked, the other bosses were fine but they dropped the ball re-using a boss no one cared about without his tiny horse and gave him cheap moves just for the sake of difficulty.
Same, I had 10 builds I could have used, played it once and have no interest in going back to the DLC. I will happily play through the main game with a DLC weapon though.
People are burnt out because they try to clear the dlc in 5 days like their favourite streamers. If you took your time, radahn is a lovely fight. His 2nd form is basically his first with 3 new combos added in. My only criticism is the constant flashbangs and the hair obscuring most of him, but if you look at his blade, you should be able to track him without issues.
Yea Wukong brought great cinematics but combat didn’t hold up to my expectations even when the character is maxed out…the overall way of combat could’ve been a little more like have some real light and heavy attack combinations or maybe a delayed and charged combo or two
China is the birthplace of martial arts. Many schools learned in Japan are just superficial. There are many martial arts masters in China. There is no need to invite Japanese actors.
Damn. Wukong, Crimson Desert, now this. Feels so good to see this resurgence of character action games. Too few and far between have we gotten actually good games in the genre. Hopefully the popularity recently convinces Capcom to put more resources into/start DMC6 :)
tell them to make the enemies super aggro. i have never really been a fan of watching a boss stand still to let you hit them. thats what made sekiro feel like a real fight because the bosses were either always attacking or always defending for the most part. made it feel very alive
People says that the East is cooking... they always has been.. Japan is is literally one of the pioneers in video games as far as I know.. it's only now that Korea and China are upping their game and more open to foreign market.. though Korea is well known for their online games even in the past. I don't know what happened to the West.. suddenly everything needs to be politically correct including video games.
The gameplay & the description is giving me serious Sifu vibes, which that game is in my top 5 of all time. Might be my favorite game ever actually, but want to wait 5 years post launch to see how it holds up. Don't like that insta-kill move though, never a fan of things that can end a battle with only one slip up. Just feels cheap more than challenging.
The fact that it has deflection already makes it far more interesting to me than Wu Kong. I just loved sekiro combat and nothing has ever come close to that yet.
Casual and poor comment. Wukong has deflection and in fact in multiple forms, although its not as important as in Sekiro. Sekiro is best combat of all times probably, but Wukong is one of the best overall singleplayer games of all time on par with Elden Ring and Sekiro in terms of artistry and flow, character design.
I have both consoles and the day 1 gamepass released this year have not been any good. In fact, I own the Xbox S for about two years and I only completed like 3 gamepass games.
PlayStation has always been on top for exclusives. Generally for Xbox the games you’d think of right off the bat is Gears of War, Forza, and Halo. With PlayStation…..God of War, Spider-Man, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Tursimo, and Death Stranding. Within the next couple of years there will even be a PlayStation exclusive Wolverine game made by the same people who made the newer Spider-Man games. PlayStation undeniably has more quantity in better exclusives. Don’t confuse my praise for the PlayStation as only throwing shade at Xbox like it’s completely better. They both have their features that’s better than one or the other, it just comes down to preference.
@@bigzachfulI looked at Crimson and I say that Phantom is better, it’s always mostly about preference. Both Crimson and Phantom have features unique to their game and both look just as fun as the other, they both deserve the praised hype equally.
I like that they dont make the game "too" difficult. Black Myth Wukong is about right imo. Many devs artificially make the game too hard just for the sake of it.

@@kidnamedfinger2840 show me air juggle combo in wukong and I'll shut up otherwise it's soulslike coz estus flask, lock on, bonfires, stamina bar etc
Souls didn't invent health potion, checkpoints, lock on and stamina bars 😂. Wukong is more hack&slash like dmc, ninja gaiden and the game in the video. Only soulslike is can see is the UI
@@pinkworm5348 can u imagine dmc with stamina bar and without air combos? because I can't, wukong is souls lite end of story.
sekiro ripoff
This game looks good since the first trailer, im glad the devs are putting the work to make it a best as they can!! difficulty should not be a problem as long as you are having fun with the game, as its not a souls-like if the game is easier its not a problem at all.
Between this game and Black Myth Wukong and Where Winds Meet, gamers are EATING GOOD
Thank you for the preview. I was worried for this game especially when you mentioned Sekiro (which I suck at) but the fact that the difficulty was down makes me feel a little less worried. I thought I would never be able to play Black Myth but I'm having a mega blast with it so highly looking forward to this one as well!
This is the kind of game I like. I hope it has more good cool combos.
People said Black Myth Wukong is easy as well :D but it is really challenging if you don't explore the areas and get the right armor/weapons and items. Final Fantasy 16 was really easy but had some of the most epic bossfights i have ever seen.
Holy shit, I was not expecting that guillotine move!! That was metal as fuuuuuuuuck.
I hope they increase the difficulty, a challenge is always welcome
I hope there is a an option to turn off camera shake.
I DEFINITELY SEE DONNIE YEN-ESK MOVES ... and your hearing this from a huge martial art fan, from being 1 to watching my martial art heros
This looking much better than Black Myth Wukong. Let's hope they don't make it like it into a boss rush game throwing overly OP bosses at you one after the other. At least this one seems it will have difficulty settings.
Most of black myth is not a boss rush. The 3 biggest chapters(chapters 2-4) are very big levels.
@@bigsmall2842 Wrong. So far it's been a boss rush. They lied.
Looks awesome 👌
Could have fooled me this was a Team Ninja game (a good thing).
Nah, Team Ninja's games lately have been super mid and forgettable. This looks far better than anything they've put out recently.
@@travistotle nah
are you kidding? this is literally the best looking game in its genre
@@__-fi6xg huh what were you expecting? it was exactly what i expected it to be like,
it looks very stylish, but like recent TN games this PS5 version's visuals are heavy on image reconstruction (FSR?).
Wow, this looks really good. The difficulty is a bit concerning, though. If there's not a challenge, I'm not going to be engaged.
Between this, black myth wukong, and crimson desert Chinese and Korean game devs cooked and you love to see it.
Wukong goty
Asking a streamer/8 hr a day gamer/ game walkthrough creator if a game is too easy…not the same as asking a 9-5er dad if a game is too easy.
I prefer games in the middle of easy and normal. Don't make it harder, guys. Just focus on fun.😅
How would you compare this game combat to (stellar blade)
4:19 that weapon the boss is using, Master of the flying guillotine 1976 wuxia hong kong film.
Yeah true
I love how you said fun is more important than difficulty, for me personally SOTE just wasn't really fun but I completely overplayed the base game of Elden Ring, I beat Consort Radhan but have no desire to go back into the DLC and I had multiple level 150 builds ready to go but I'm totally drained with Souls right now 😢
Ditto, especially after elden ring. I've been burnout by this genre tbh
But you guys like difficulty 🤪🤪🤪
God of War generously rewarded mid-fight weapon switching - glad this one does too 🖤
this is what i want and thought that black myth was going to be...
Don’t buff hp and damage output to make it harder, make the boss more aggressive or more complex moveset!
I’m more excited for this than I was for Black Myth.
Wukong goty
Yea Wukong brought great cinematics but combat didn’t hold up to my expectations even when the character is maxed out…the overall way of combat could’ve been a little more like have some real light and heavy attack combinations or maybe a delayed and charged combo or two
yeaaa had my eye on this one for a while too..excited for the combat for sure
They hired the actiondirector Kenji Tanigaki from Rurounikenshin!
China is the birthplace of martial arts. Many schools learned in Japan are just superficial. There are many martial arts masters in China. There is no need to invite Japanese actors.
So awesome
I had many doubts about this game, I was barely looking forward to it.
Your video changed my mind entirely ,thanks!
Damn. Wukong, Crimson Desert, now this. Feels so good to see this resurgence of character action games. Too few and far between have we gotten actually good games in the genre. Hopefully the popularity recently convinces Capcom to put more resources into/start DMC6 :)
Wukong goty
Wukong is not a character action game.
Looking really siiiiiick!
So this game is around ghost of Tsushima level of difficulty is perfectly fine. Not everything has to be a sweaty try hard game
tell them to make the enemies super aggro. i have never really been a fan of watching a boss stand still to let you hit them. thats what made sekiro feel like a real fight because the bosses were either always attacking or always defending for the most part. made it feel very alive
And all we had to do was drop the fucking sun on them twice 💀
@@Alex-sm6pv sekiro's combat is honestly so unengaging no idea why people laud it as the greatest combat of all time
@@Alex-sm6pvnah. attacks do not have much variety and it felt like Wukong is a button mashing game. overhyped game
@Gurenn83 you didn't play it
@@Alex-sm6pv Guy who has only ever played singleplayer games made after 2022:
I also tried it at the gamescom and liked it very much
My friends with only XBox keep missing the games they want to play. I tried tell ‘em. I’m not a console warrior, it just is what it is.
I know they going keep missing great game plus they want they games in gamepass this game not going be released on they system 😊
Looks even more fantastic than its initial reveal a few years back.
Phantom blade zero is going to be what I was hoping Black myth WuKong would be.
What didn't you like in black myth wukong?
Probably to hard@@Alyasiry87
HAHA cope
@@Alyasiry87 I like it a lot! Just not what I was expecting the game to be tbh.
Exactly
The combat look really fun to play. 😮
I’m sorry but there’s just no way I can choose this over crimson desert….
I’m getting BOTH! 💯
That’s always the best solution😊 double the enjoyment!
Crimson Dessert is clearly the better, more fun game. But this game looks good and probably deserves a purchase.
@@bigzachfulI looked at Crimson and I say that Phantom is better, it’s always mostly about preference. Both Crimson and Phantom have features unique to their game and both look just as fun as the other, they both deserve the praised hype equally.
Nice video as always and the game looks very well done so far, cheers
I like that they dont make the game "too" difficult. Black Myth Wukong is about right imo. Many devs artificially make the game too hard just for the sake of it.
The flying guillotine was a famous weapon in the classic Shaw Brothers' martial arts film. Since the motion capture was done in Hong Kong, maybe that was an input from someone there.
same was excited for this more than wukong, its sad that still date is unknown about its release
2027
Nice, love the fast-paced gameplay
Life is hard. I like a game that just let's me have fun.
Don't play Elden Ring DLC then 😂
@truthserum273 I love the elden ring dlc, I just don't love the scadau fragments.
@@Tigerblade11238that was necessary element for balancing, since there are players who are like level 700 and it would have been a cakewalk for them making it boring
The flying guillotine existed in the Qing Dynasty and was used as shown in the game.
