This is what true happiness and peace look like. This is what life is supposed to be about. Feeling nature, being in touch with the world and the people around you. I can only wish to be like him. Thank you for sharing this story.
Beautiful video! Mahalo for sharing! Keep your culture alive and do not let the old traditions fade away! This is y’all’s responsibility! MAUI NO KA OI🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 AloJAH❤️💛☘️ ONE LOVE n god bless u ppl of HAWAII❤️❤️❤️
How dose this not have any comments? This is a lost art and such an emotional connection to the ocean and Mother Earth !! This is absolutely mind blowing and amazing!! 🤙
Everyone should know the feeling of a wave pushing you in to the beach.. the power is crazy. There's something built in to us that remembers it. It's amazing.
❤in corona times in Germany I shaped my alaias even landlocked… now I have the strong feeling like you guys have as Hawaiian carving and surfing inside this pure wave energy….. need to come soon if Hawaii welcomes me
Beautiful! Loved hearing him say " from a seed to wood and shaped into surf board. It's orangic." His creation has more soul than all the fiberglass boradsever made. Well done, sir. Respect for understanding the importance of only working when it feels right, Aloha. Side note, the cinematography is well done.
Even through these modern and changing times, somethings are still sacred my brother! Hang on to the culture and traditions they are the stories of our heritage, across the pacific. Chur my bro ❤ 💛 💚
Fantastic Video in Every way. The Camera work, Editing, Music, Mr. Ahuna Narration were Excellent!' As a Professional Filmmaker for 30 Years myself I was Very impressed with this Film!! Mahalo
Maikai'i ka hana! Nani loa on the craftsmanship, the filiming and editing, and story line. But kupianaha, to seeing one kine local boy wit da tan lines on his feet from his slippahs! That made this haole ke koa he'e nalu, smile! Aloha!!!

Bruda! I have much respect for you and the Hawaiian culture. I know the fight Hawaiian people are going through to remain on the land surfed since I was young and have a lot of respect for the origins. I I have a son with native indigenous my roots from Mexico. His family still speak the original Mayan language partially I want to come to the big island but not disrespect or change the native ways and look to build up the culture. I cannot believe no one has commented on your post yet, maybe I will see you in the lineup with much respect. I have grown up with Hawaiians here on the East Coast of the mainland my friend respects his culture and I have lived in New Zealand with the Māori people. I know everyone is tired of the foreigners, coming to the islands and changing the culture, forcing people to leave. I want to support self independence of the Hawaiian people and change it around. I hope I will be welcomed.
Great feeling i´m from Portugal and surfed for many years but left surf because i felt people and industry killed surf .I would go back with a piece of wood like that ,beautiful ,thanks for sharing.
back in the ‘80s we would walk down to Waikiki break wall. First we would hit up McDonald’s across the street and grab food trays. We would spend all day body surfing with McDonald’s trays. Every day there would be atleast a dozen McDonald’s trays in the lineup 😂 Point being the board is an instrument that allows the energy flow from the water into you and vice versa. I love your Koa boards. This kind of craftsmanship and connection to our roots needs to make a comeback.
This is epic! The dude is literally Big Zeke from Surfs Up 🤙 Mahalo brother
