It is startling how emotional people get when Omar character is questioned and how quiet they are when Mohamad ﷺ Ali(as) and Fatima(sa) character are questioned. Before you all get triggered look at the Sunni tafseer of Surrat Ab'basa. I would never suggest that my sunni brothers & sisters are corrupt or have bad intentions, I am mearly stating that there has been a historical corruption because of political considerations. Now this does not just apply to Sunni beliefs, it is just as prevalent within the Shi'a community. That said, if you hold onto the Book & the Ahl alBayt (as instructed), not just love them but truly follow their leads in practice and character then you shall never go astray.

He was from the tribe of Bani Sahm who were our allies during the pre-Islamic period of ignorance. Al-`As said to `Umar "What is wrong with you?" He said, "Your people claim that they would kill me if I become a Muslim." Al-`As said, "Nobody will harm you after I have given protection to you." So Al-`As went out and met the people streaming in the whole valley. He said, "Where are you going?" They said, "We want Ibn Al-Khattab who has embraced Islam." You can feel the hatred, envy and jealousy from this man. Go back to the facts. Omar (r) was in fact the ambassador of the tribe of Qurash. So his conversion in Islam was a blessing and strength for Islam that Allah ordained from 7 skies. The angels celebrated in the sky on the conversion of Omar as the prophet reported. And now we have this no body assessing the “conduct of Omar” FYI your predecessors killed and back stabbed Ali(r) and Hussein(r) which resulted to their death. Yes everyone celebrated Omar's conversion except Omar himself. JazakAllah for dropping by. But if one has decided he already has knowledge and he will only listen what he/she wishes to listen then there is no discussion that can take place. Then one begins to reject authentic hadiths of Bukhari because they don't suit him but accepts the weaker ones as he/she likes them.

Ibn Masoud said about Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) embracing Islam, “We remained strong after Umar embraced Islam” [related by Al-Bukhari]. He also said, “We were not able to pray at the Kaaba until Umar entered Islam. When Umar entered Islam, he fought Quraysh until he could pray at the Kaaba, and we prayed with him” [related by Al-Bukhari].
The same Bukhari shares the fears of Omar after becoming Muslim. So which Bukhari to follow? Also, all Muslims agree that Prophet used to pray at the grand mosque way before the Islam of Omar. Please check the episode The First Three Muslims for details.
At one place you are so strong that the whole community was able to pray in front of Kaaba but on the other hand you have so much fear that you are not ready to get out of your home and need a guarantor for yourself. If this logically make sense to you then definitely it is possible. Btw Muslims used to pray at Kaaba from the first year of Islam. Check the episode the first three Muslims. Sayyidina Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu also named one of his sons ‘Umar. Similarly, the Shia have listed one of the sons of Sayyidina Hussain radiya Llahu ‘anhu as ‘Umar. Likewise, Zayn al ‘abidin named one of his children after ‘Umar. Sayyidina ‘Umar’s radiya Llahu ‘anhu name featuring among the children of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu, generation after generation, is nothing accidental or coincidental, nor a once off happening. This was an authentic reality and practice which remained among the Imams. This proves with no uncertainty that there existed love, compassion, friendship, unity, etc., between Sayyidina ‘Ali and Sayyidina ‘Umar radiya Llahu ‘anhuma. There was no type of personal, religious, or political hatred, animosity, distaste, opposition, or enmity. To prove this matter, the upcoming narrations are strong evidences. We will present quotations verbatim from books regarded reliable by the Shia seniors. This aspect was discussed with detail in the seventh section of chapter five of the Siddiqi section and citations from both Sunni and Shia books were reproduced. We will suffice here on reproducing from Shia books for purposes of brevity.

Whether the intention was naming after Omar (r) or Uthman (r) and etc. It's the mere fact and human feeling that you don't name things or let alone children after a hated person.
If the other Omar and Uthman are so much beloved to you would definitely to make their legacy live forever and pratically show that names do not matter :) The Prophet actually loved Uthman Ibn Maz'un. He is said to be childhood friend of the Prophet.

Ahmed ibn Ya’qub ibn Jafar states that Sayyidina Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu had 8 sons. His third son was ‘Umar. و كان للحسن من الولد ثمانية ذكور و هم الحسن بن الحسن (المثنى) و أمه خولة بنت منظور الفزارية و زيد بن الحسن و أمه أم بشر بنت أبي مسعود الأنصاري الخزرجي و عمر و القاسم و أبو بكر و عبد الرحمن لأمهات أولاد شتى و طلحة و عبيد الله Hassan had eight sons. They are: Hassan ibn al Hassan (al Muthanna) whose mother is Khawlah bint Manzur al Fazariyyah; Zaid ibn al Hassan whose mother is Umm Bishr bint Abi Mas’ud al Ansari al Khazraji; ‘Umar, Qasim, Abu Bakr, and ‘Abdul Rahman―from various umm walads; Talhah and ‘Ubaid Allah.[9] b. Mufid as well as al Arbili have dedicated a section to the biography of Hassan (al Muthanna) ibn al Imam al Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu wherein he lists ‘Umar ibn al Hassan as one of Hassan al Muthanna’s sons as well as Abu Bakr ibn al Hassan.[10] c. Ibn ‘Inabah has enumerated Zaid, Hassan al Muthanna, ‘Abdullah (whose agnomen is Abu Bakr), ‘Umar, etc. as the sons of Sayyidina Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu.[11] d. Mulla Al Baqir Majlisi lists the martyrs of Karbala’ in Jala’ al ‘Uyun: و چہار نفر از فرزندان امام حسن ابو بکر و عبد اللہ و قاسم و بشر و بعضے بجاۓ بشر عمر گفتہ اند و از فرزندان امام حسین آنچہ مشہور ست علی اکبر و عبد اللہ کہ در کنار حضرت شہید شد و بعضی ابراہیم و محمد و حمزہ و علی دیگر و جعفر و عمر و زید گفتہ اند Four from the sons of Imam Hassan, viz. Abu Bakr, ‘Abdullah, Qasim, and Bishr. Some have substituted Bishr with ‘Umar. And from the sons of Imam Hussain, these are the famous figures ‘Ali Akbar, ‘Abdullah who was martyred alongside him, Ibrahim, Muhammad, Hamzah, ‘Ali the second, Jafar, ‘Umar, and Zaid.[12] e. ‘Abbas al Qummi states while discussing the children of Imam Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu: عمر بن الحسن و دو برادر اعیانی او قاسم و عبد اللہ و مادر ایشاں ام ولد ست ‘Umar ibn al Hassan and two full brothers Qasim and ‘Abdullah. Their mother was an Umm Walad.[13]
و المروي عن جعفر بن محمد أنه كان يتولاهما و يأتي القبر فيسلم عليهما مع تسليمه على رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم It is reported that Jafar ibn Muhammad befriended them and would approach the grave and greet them when he greeted Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.[3] The scholars should also be notified that the author of al Shafi Sayed Murtada ‘Alam al Huda could not come up with any sensible answer to this. At the end, he was constrained to present the ancient solution of Taqiyyah.
In Usul al Kafi, book on proof, chapter on the decision taken between the claim of truth and falsehood in the matter of Imamah, Muhammad ibn Ya’qub al Kulayni records an incident of condolence which makes mention of ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn al Hussain. The text is: عن عبد الله بن إبراهيم بن محمد الجعفري قال أتينا خديجة بنت عمر بن علي بن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب عليهم السلام نعزيها بابن بنتها فوجدنا عندها موسى بن عبد الله بن الحسن فإذا هي في ناحية قريبا من النساء فعزيناها ‘Abdullah ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al Jafari reports: We came to Khadijah bint ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn al Hussain ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib radiya Llahu ‘anhum to give her condolence over the death of her nephew. We found Musa ibn ‘Abdullah ibn al Hassan by her. She was in the corner close to the women. We conveyed our condolences to her.[14] b. In the chapter of the children of ‘Ali ibn al Hussain, Mufid lists 15 of his children, viz. Muhammad al Baqir, ‘Abdullah, Hassan, Hussain, Zaid, ‘Umar, Hussain al Asghar, ‘Abdul Rahman, Sulaiman, ‘Ali, etc. ‘Umar’s name appears sixth on the list. After the 10 sons, the daughters were listed.[15] c. ‘Ali ibn ‘Isa al Arbili lists the names of Zayn al ‘Abidin’s children. He lists Muhammad al Baqir first, Zaid second, and ‘Umar third. (Zaid and ‘Umar’s mother was an Umm Walad.)[16] d. There is mention of ‘Umar ibn Zayn al ‘Abidin in ‘Umdat al Talib.[17] e. ‘Abbas al Qummi has written in Muntaha al Amal while discussing the children of Zayn al ‘abidin: … زید و عمر از ام ولد دیگر إلخ Zaid and ‘Umar from another Umm Walad.[18] f. The same author lists Zayn al ‘Abidin’s son ‘Umar al Ashraf while enumerating all individuals with the name ‘Umar in Tuhfat al Ahbab. He praises and compliments him extensively. He says: عمر از فضلاۓ تابعین و جلیل القدر صاحب ورع و والی صدقات پیغمبر و امیر المؤمنین بودہ إلخ ‘Umar was among the distinguished Tabi’in, a man of dignity, abstinence, and administrator of the charity of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and Amir al Mu’minin.[19]
The famous Shia historian Ahmed ibn Abi Ya’qub ibn Jafar al Katib (d. 258/259 A.H.) in his Tarikh Ya’qubi while enumerating the sons of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu lists ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali as number eleven. The text reads: و كان له من الولد الذكور أربعة عشر ذكرا الحسن و الحسين و محسن مات صغيرا أمهم فاطمة بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم … و عمر أمه أم حبيب بنت ربيعة البكرية إلخ He had 14 sons viz. Hassan, Hussain, Muhassin who passed away in infancy―their mother is Fatimah bint Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam… and ‘Umar whose mother is Umm Habib bint Rabi’ah al Bakriyyah.[1] b. The renowned Shia scholar, al Mufid (Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn al Nu’man) (d. 413 A.H.) in his al Irshad, in the chapter of Amir al Mu’minin’s offspring, enumerates 27 children of his with their names. Beginning with Hassan and Hussain, he lists ‘Umar and Ruqayyah at number 6 and 7, considering them as twins. He writes: و عمر و رقية كانا توأمين ‘Umar and Ruqayyah were twins.[2] c. The prominent gatherer of virtues and genealogist of the Shia ‘Ali ibn ‘Isa Arbili lists 14 sons and 19 daughters of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu in his book Kashf al Ghummah fi Ma’rifat al A’immah. ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali features number 13 on his list: الذكور الحسن و الحسين و محمد الأكبر عبيد الله و أبو بكر و العباس و عثمان و جعفر و عبد الله و محمد الأصغر و يحيى و عون و عمر و محمد الأوسط عليهم السلام Sons: Hassan, Hussain, Muhammad al Akbar, ‘Ubaid Allah, Abu Bakr, ‘Abbas, ‘Uthman, Jafar, ‘Abdullah, Muhammad al Asghar, Yahya, ‘Awn, ‘Umar, and Muhammad al Awsat―may peace be upon them.[3] d. Sayed Jamal al Din Ahmed ibn ‘Ali commonly known as Ibn ‘Inabah (d. 828 A.H.) mentions in section five of ‘Umdat al Talib fi Ansab Al Abi Talib: ذكر عقب عمر الأطرف بن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام أمه الصهباء الثعلبية Discussion on the children of ‘Umar al Atraf ibn Amir al Mu’minin radiya Llahu ‘anhu. His mother is al Sahba’ al Tha’labiyyah from the captives of Yamamah.[4] e. Mulla Al Baqir Majlisi (d. 1110/1111) the legendary Shia mujtahid of the 11th century begins a chapter on the number of martyrs of the Ahlul Bayt (who were martyred on the Day of ‘Ashura’) in Jala’ al ‘Uyun (Persian). He writes: نز نفر از فرزندان امیر المؤمنین حضرت سید الشہدا و عباس و پسر او محمد و عمر و عثمان و جعفر و ابراہیم و عبد اللہ اصغر و محمد اصغر پسران امیر المومنین علیہ السلام Nine of the children of Amir al Mu’minin: Sayed al Shuhada’ (Hussain), ‘Abbas, his grandson Muhammad, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman, Jafar, Ibrahim, and ‘Abdullah Asghar and Muhammad Asghar―the grandsons of Amir al Mu’minin.[5] f. Section six of Muntaha al Amal of ‘Abbas al Qummi of the 14th century has a list of the issue of Sayyidina ‘Ali Amir al Mu’minin radiya Llahu ‘anhu: عمر و رقیہ کبری ست کہ ہر دو تن تو ام از مادر متولد شدند و مادر ایشاں ام حبیب دختر ربیعہ است ‘Umar and Ruqayyah the eldest both were born to an umm walad[6], Umm Habib bint Rabi’ah.[7] (Umm Habib is also called al Sahba’ al Tha’labiyyah.) g. ‘Abbas Qummi writes the biography of this son in Tuhfat al Ahbab: عمر بن علی بن ابی طالب کنیت اش ابو القاسم مادرش صہباء است و با رقیہ توأم بدنیا آمدہ و آنجناب بفصاحت زبان و سماحت طبع معروف بود … و او آخر کس ست از پسران امیر المومنین کہ وفات کردہ إلخ ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib: His agnomen was Abu al Qasim. His mother was Sahba’. He entered the world as a twin with his sister Ruqayyah. He was famous for his eloquence and magnanimity. And he is the last son of Amir al Mu’minin to pass away.[8] The summary of these narrations: Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu had a son by the name ‘Umar. His agnomen was Abu al Qasim and his title was al Atraf. He was born as a twin with his sister Ruqayyah bint ‘Ali. Their mother’s name was al Sahba’ al Tha’labiyyah al Bakriyyah who was captured from the Banu Taghlib tribe during the Siddiqi khilafah. Her agnomen was Umm Habib. She is the daughter of Rabi’ah. She was gifted to Sayyidina ‘Ali by Sayyidina Abu Bakr radiya Llahu ‘anhuma. ‘Umar was very eloquent and magnanimous. He was the last son of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu to leave this world.

How was Hazrat Omar then be blessed enough to be buried beside our Holy Prophet? Surely he had his own deeds that were essentially critical and helpful for our deen to spread. Our Holy Prophet surely had some dear connection to Hazrat Omar. I was expecting One only One good deed that you may have mentioned about him, infact all i heard was lessons about his fabrications. I thought that there would be some respect shown by ahle bait to hazrat Omar. Its okayy to have your interpretation, but mentioning Atleast One or two good genuine deeds from your own ahle bait perspective is what I was expecting here and hoping to find maybe something new and good to gain. Yes, Ali was a better fighter. Yes, Ali had better lineage. But Umar strengthened Islam by openly leading Muslims to the kaaba for the first time in years. He did this immediately after his conversion. Also, Umar married Umm Kulthum bint Ali as attested in al-Kafi and sunni hadith books.

Please check Surah Tawbah verse 101. Surah Munafiqon. Time and time again Prophet was informed that not all Muslims around him are believers. Even some wives of the Prophet were condemned at places in the Quran.
@@Thaqlain I've read it. Where did it say the sahabah were hypocrites? It does not. Among those who called themselves Muslim were some hypocrites. You don't get to lie and choose who they are. The prophet praised Abubakr, umar, uthman and many more companions. They were Muslim in Mecca. Only after Hijra did hypocrites come to be. So we know for a fact they were innocent. You still have shown zero proof or evidence. As for the wives, rebuking them is not cursing them or calling them hypocrites. When you rebuke your family do you want to kill them or punish them in a fire?
And among the bedouins around you, some are hypocrites, and so are some among the people of Al-Madinah who persist in hypocrisy; you know them not, We know them. We shall punish them twice, and thereafter they shall be brought back to a great (horrible) torment. Please read the verse again. It is very clear that some of those within the close proximity and "around Prophet" were hypocrites. And to defy your logic of blaming only the Muslims of Medina of being hypocrites, the previous verse should be enough. The Quran praised Ansar and Muhajireen together and rebuked the hypocrites amongst them together. As for wives, will you praise someone who said to the Prophet that "you have a bad smell?" Will you praise someone who broke Prophet's trust by disclosing his promise? Will you praise the one who according to Quran "collaborated against the Prophet"? Will you praise the one whom Quran said that "Allah will replace them with better"? Sadly, some Muslims can easily belittle Prophet but when it comes to the caliphs and their daughters have all sorts of strange logics. We rest our case.

There is no attack. This is the 50th episode and there are episodes filled with praise of companions and wives. It seems you reached a conclusion too quickly. On a side note, Tabari, Bukhari and others have attacked more on the Prophet but we never see such agitation from Muslims 🙂🙏🏼

The definition of low ranking tribe matters here. In the case of Prophet, while he was from a highly respectable family, he wasn't very rich nor had any worldly powers. In fact he was born orphan. Yet it was his character that allowed him to create a space in the hearts of Quraysh.

The way of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah is to love the family (ahl al-bayt) of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Naasibis love the Sahaabah but hate the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), hence they were called Naasibis because they set themselves up (nasb) as enemies of the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Raafidis are the opposite: they love the Prophet’s family (ahl al-bayt) - or so they claim, but they hate the Sahaabah, whom they curse, denounce as kaafirs and criticize. Whoever hates the Sahaabah hates Islam, because they are the bearers of Islam and the followers of the Chosen Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So whoever hates them hates Islam, and this indicates that there is no faith in the hearts of such people and that they do not love Islam. This is an important basic principle which the Muslims should understand, namely loving and respecting the Sahaabah, because that is part of faith. Hating them or hating one of them is kufr and hypocrisy, because loving them is part of loving the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and hating them is part of hating the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Even though we have responded such comments in great detail in the comments section, we are giving short response to yours as it is filled with takfir. 1) Firstly, the purpose is to historically examine different parts of the prophetic era history. You have reached a conclusion while you have only watched the 50th episode. So we will urge you to watch it entirely. 2) Your definition of Raafidi is incorrect. Nor do Shias or Raafidis, as you would like to call, hate the sahabas. Bara'at or disassociating oneself from those who went against the divine representatives of Allah is a concept well rooted in the Quran and Hadith of the Prophet. For no one do we have a hadith that he is from truth and truth is from him except for Imam Ali. So, we disassociate from those who took up sword against the truth. 3) The principle that you shared is not proved by the Quran. The Quranic verse in Surah Tawbah Allah has praised some of the companions but the next verse is filled with admonishment for some of the companions close to the Prophet. Similarly, history is filled with instances where the companions ridiculed each other, fought each other and even cursed each other. 4) Lastly, the two guiding source by the Prophet are the Quran and the Prophet's progeny (according to Sahi Muslim). Even if you take the version which mentions Sunnah, you will eventually reach Prophet's progeny because it is Sunnah to consider Imam Ali as your Mawla. Remember us in your duas :)

What excuse could I find for those Companions who had spent nearly twenty years with the Messenger of Allah, from the start of the Mission to the day of al-Hudaibiyah, and had seen all the miracles and enlightenment of the Prophethood? Furthermore the Qur'an was teaching them day and night how they should behave in the presence of the Messenger, and how they should talk to him, to the extent that Allah had threatened to ruin their deeds if they raised their voices above his voice. Allah knows well we are not to judge any one of it. its Him Allah who judge All..
Surely we are more than 1400 years after the companions and Islam. These are Great Sahabas all of them, whether Ahlul bait or not. It is not a good idea to be negative about them and interpret everything on them the wrong way. Why should we reject the Sahih Hadiths just to make some sahabas who Wallahi they were greater than all of us. Moreover, we have to be positive because we don't know the truth since we are much away from these generations. Again why should we engage in such small divisions that non muslims take advantage of. Let us refrain our tongue from these subjects for sure it is not important. It only divides us more and more..... @@LoyalMinion I understand your point but Allah has given us the guide, Quran through his prophet SAW and in addition the Sunnah of the prophet. People are arguing about something small like the character of this sahaba is superior or inferior to another sahaba. It is good to love and follow the sahaba example but we have what they themselves used to follow The Furqan which guides us to the key pillars of the religion. Therefore discussing such a small matter and arguing and hating each other about it is absolutely unnecessary as to my opinion. For we are all muslims and brothers in faith. Let us not be divided by small matters like this as long as we have the Quran to follow. Maybe we may make mistakes and dishonour extremely someone who is dear to Allah in this process. Therefore just being positive of the any muslim, the companions included is a good idea for we are not taking risks of saying or teaching something that is not true in the case.
On the day of Judgement, I would rather be on the side of the Prophet (Pbuh) and his Ahlulbayt. Versus the side of his fake “companions” who wanted nothing but power after the Prophet passed away.

Salaam brother. We can’t just stay positive because we don’t know the truth. The truth is out there you just need to look for it and connect the dots. Go back further in history with Issa, who betrayed him ? His closest companion did. So what makes it difficult for Muhammad’s companions not to ? As a matter of fact go look in the Quran where Allah warns the prophet in so many occasions of the hypocrites and those who act like they’re close but aren’t. Who is Allah talking about think with an open mind, people who probably are close to him. Eg 63:3 When the hypocrites come to you they say: 'We bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah'. Evil indeed is that which they do! That is because they believed and then disbelieved. Their hearts were sealed and they do not understand" Regarding following the Quran and sunnah there’s no where in the Sunni authentic books saying Quran and sunnah, but it says Quran and Ahlulbayt. But we do agree sunnah has to be followed of the prophet, and we get them from the Ahlulbayt. We can’t come to conclusions that why should we talk about them and Allah knows best and all. Brother if Allah is Adil than I expect him not to favour mistakes of a companion of the prophet just because he was a companion. Don’t make sense to me in the right mind, they will all be accountable for their deeds. You need to search for the actual message and teachings of the holy prophet pbuh & his family. Yes Allah knows best but it does matter for me to find my prophets actual religion, go do your research on how Abubakar and Omar treated Fatema the lady of the heavens according to the same prophet. And the same prophet said whoever angers Fatema has angered me and whoever angers the prophet angers Allah. And the authentic Sunni hadith say Fatema died angry with Abubakr. That should answer you also why did the prophet warn about that and why did he mention to Ali & Fatema that they will face a tough time after him and they should have patience. Who gave them the tough time ? Coincidence ? There’s so much I could write but it’s a mission typing. All I’d say is find the right thing as what Allah told us through the prophet is Iqra. Read. He never said listen and just believe. Everything is available it’s just the effort of searching the truth. @Thaqlain when you talk about the history of Islam, you should try to unit. Special when you know that these videos have the potential to reach a diverse audience, Muslims and non Muslims. The way you talk about Umar RA is like he was just a foot soldier. I know that as a Shia, you have a bais, but Shi'ism was not there at the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The episode that was about the battle of the trench, you said that it was the shia of Ali RA that helped the prophet PBUH the most while others were just being lazy. Please try and teach the actual history, not a bais one.

So there is no biasness here. Sadly, it is the Sunni scholars that rely more on the narrations forged by Ummayyads while ignoring the other narrations found in their own books Secondly, as far as existence of Shias are concerned, they did exist during the time of the Prophet. We have hadiths narrated by both schools that some companions were referred to as "Shia of Ali" during the time of the Prophet. Some notable ones include Salman, Abu Dharr and Ammar.

It is startling how emotional people get when Omar character is questioned and how quiet they are when Mohamad ﷺ Ali(as) and Fatima(sa) character are questioned. Before you all get triggered look at the Sunni tafseer of Surrat Ab'basa. I would never suggest that my sunni brothers & sisters are corrupt or have bad intentions, I am mearly stating that there has been a historical corruption because of political considerations. Now this does not just apply to Sunni beliefs, it is just as prevalent within the Shi'a community. That said, if you hold onto the Book & the Ahl alBayt (as instructed), not just love them but truly follow their leads in practice and character then you shall never go astray.

While `Umar was at home in a state of fear, there came Al-`As bin Wail As-Sahmi Abu `Amr, wearing an embroidered cloak and a shirt having silk hems. He was from the tribe of Bani Sahm who were our allies during the pre-Islamic period of ignorance. Al-`As said to `Umar "What is wrong with you?" He said, "Your people claim that they would kill me if I become a Muslim." Al-`As said, "Nobody will harm you after I have given protection to you." So Al-`As went out and met the people streaming in the whole valley. He said, "Where are you going?" They said, "We want Ibn Al-Khattab who has embraced Islam." Al-`As said, "There is no way for anybody to touch him." So the people retreated.

So his conversion in Islam was a blessing and strength for Islam that Allah ordained from 7 skies. The angels celebrated in the sky on the conversion of Omar as the prophet reported. Stop spreading lies and deception. The non Muslims classify Omar(r) as one the world’s greatest leaders. And now we have this no body assessing the “conduct of Omar” FYI your predecessors killed and back stabbed Ali(r) and Hussein(r) which resulted to their death. Go back to your books and Imam Jafar Al Sadick.
Yes everyone celebrated Omar's conversion except Omar himself. JazakAllah for dropping by. But if one has decided he already has knowledge and he will only listen what he/she wishes to listen then there is no discussion that can take place. Then one begins to reject authentic hadiths of Bukhari because they don't suit him but accepts the weaker ones as he/she likes them.

Ibn Masoud said about Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) embracing Islam, “We remained strong after Umar embraced Islam” [related by Al-Bukhari]. He also said, “We were not able to pray at the Kaaba until Umar entered Islam. When Umar entered Islam, he fought Quraysh until he could pray at the Kaaba, and we prayed with him” [related by Al-Bukhari].
The same Bukhari shares the fears of Omar after becoming Muslim. So which Bukhari to follow? Also, all Muslims agree that Prophet used to pray at the grand mosque way before the Islam of Omar. Please check the episode The First Three Muslims for details.

At one place you are so strong that the whole community was able to pray in front of Kaaba but on the other hand you have so much fear that you are not ready to get out of your home and need a guarantor for yourself. If this logically make sense to you then definitely it is possible.
Btw Muslims used to pray at Kaaba from the first year of Islam. Check the episode the first three Muslims. The problem with these stories is that they are self contradictory.

Sayyidina Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu also named one of his sons ‘Umar. Similarly, the Shia have listed one of the sons of Sayyidina Hussain radiya Llahu ‘anhu as ‘Umar. Likewise, Zayn al ‘abidin named one of his children after ‘Umar.
Sayyidina ‘Umar’s radiya Llahu ‘anhu name featuring among the children of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu, generation after generation, is nothing accidental or coincidental, nor a once off happening. This was an authentic reality and practice which remained among the Imams.
This proves with no uncertainty that there existed love, compassion, friendship, unity, etc., between Sayyidina ‘Ali and Sayyidina ‘Umar radiya Llahu ‘anhuma. There was no type of personal, religious, or political hatred, animosity, distaste, opposition, or enmity.
To prove this matter, the upcoming narrations are strong evidences. We will present quotations verbatim from books regarded reliable by the Shia seniors.
This aspect was discussed with detail in the seventh section of chapter five of the Siddiqi section and citations from both Sunni and Shia books were reproduced. We will suffice here on reproducing from Shia books for purposes of brevity.

Ahmed ibn Ya’qub ibn Jafar states that Sayyidina Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu had 8 sons. His third son was ‘Umar.
و كان للحسن من الولد ثمانية ذكور و هم الحسن بن الحسن (المثنى) و أمه خولة بنت منظور الفزارية و زيد بن الحسن و أمه أم بشر بنت أبي مسعود الأنصاري الخزرجي و عمر و القاسم و أبو بكر و عبد الرحمن لأمهات أولاد شتى و طلحة و عبيد الله
Hassan had eight sons. They are: Hassan ibn al Hassan (al Muthanna) whose mother is Khawlah bint Manzur al Fazariyyah; Zaid ibn al Hassan whose mother is Umm Bishr bint Abi Mas’ud al Ansari al Khazraji; ‘Umar, Qasim, Abu Bakr, and ‘Abdul Rahman―from various umm walads; Talhah and ‘Ubaid Allah.[9]
b. Mufid as well as al Arbili have dedicated a section to the biography of Hassan (al Muthanna) ibn al Imam al Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu wherein he lists ‘Umar ibn al Hassan as one of Hassan al Muthanna’s sons as well as Abu Bakr ibn al Hassan.[10]
c. Ibn ‘Inabah has enumerated Zaid, Hassan al Muthanna, ‘Abdullah (whose agnomen is Abu Bakr), ‘Umar, etc. as the sons of Sayyidina Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu.[11]
d. Mulla Al Baqir Majlisi lists the martyrs of Karbala’ in Jala’ al ‘Uyun:
و چہار نفر از فرزندان امام حسن ابو بکر و عبد اللہ و قاسم و بشر و بعضے بجاۓ بشر عمر گفتہ اند و از فرزندان امام حسین آنچہ مشہور ست علی اکبر و عبد اللہ کہ در کنار حضرت شہید شد و بعضی ابراہیم و محمد و حمزہ و علی دیگر و جعفر و عمر و زید گفتہ اند
Four from the sons of Imam Hassan, viz. Abu Bakr, ‘Abdullah, Qasim, and Bishr. Some have substituted Bishr with ‘Umar. And from the sons of Imam Hussain, these are the famous figures ‘Ali Akbar, ‘Abdullah who was martyred alongside him, Ibrahim, Muhammad, Hamzah, ‘Ali the second, Jafar, ‘Umar, and Zaid.[12]
e. ‘Abbas al Qummi states while discussing the children of Imam Hassan radiya Llahu ‘anhu:
عمر بن الحسن و دو برادر اعیانی او قاسم و عبد اللہ و مادر ایشاں ام ولد ست
‘Umar ibn al Hassan and two full brothers Qasim and ‘Abdullah. Their mother was an Umm Walad.[13]
و المروي عن جعفر بن محمد أنه كان يتولاهما و يأتي القبر فيسلم عليهما مع تسليمه على رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم
It is reported that Jafar ibn Muhammad befriended them and would approach the grave and greet them when he greeted Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.[3]
The scholars should also be notified that the author of al Shafi Sayed Murtada ‘Alam al Huda could not come up with any sensible answer to this. At the end, he was constrained to present the ancient solution of Taqiyyah.
Jazak Allah Khair Moulana
In Usul al Kafi, book on proof, chapter on the decision taken between the claim of truth and falsehood in the matter of Imamah, Muhammad ibn Ya’qub al Kulayni records an incident of condolence which makes mention of ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn al Hussain. The text is:
عن عبد الله بن إبراهيم بن محمد الجعفري قال أتينا خديجة بنت عمر بن علي بن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب عليهم السلام نعزيها بابن بنتها فوجدنا عندها موسى بن عبد الله بن الحسن فإذا هي في ناحية قريبا من النساء فعزيناها
‘Abdullah ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al Jafari reports:
We came to Khadijah bint ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn al Hussain ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib radiya Llahu ‘anhum to give her condolence over the death of her nephew. We found Musa ibn ‘Abdullah ibn al Hassan by her. She was in the corner close to the women. We conveyed our condolences to her.[14]
b. In the chapter of the children of ‘Ali ibn al Hussain, Mufid lists 15 of his children, viz. Muhammad al Baqir, ‘Abdullah, Hassan, Hussain, Zaid, ‘Umar, Hussain al Asghar, ‘Abdul Rahman, Sulaiman, ‘Ali, etc. ‘Umar’s name appears sixth on the list. After the 10 sons, the daughters were listed.[15]
c. ‘Ali ibn ‘Isa al Arbili lists the names of Zayn al ‘Abidin’s children. He lists Muhammad al Baqir first, Zaid second, and ‘Umar third. (Zaid and ‘Umar’s mother was an Umm Walad.)[16]
d. There is mention of ‘Umar ibn Zayn al ‘Abidin in ‘Umdat al Talib.[17]
e. ‘Abbas al Qummi has written in Muntaha al Amal while discussing the children of Zayn al ‘abidin:
… زید و عمر از ام ولد دیگر إلخ
Zaid and ‘Umar from another Umm Walad.[18]
f. The same author lists Zayn al ‘Abidin’s son ‘Umar al Ashraf while enumerating all individuals with the name ‘Umar in Tuhfat al Ahbab. He praises and compliments him extensively. He says:
عمر از فضلاۓ تابعین و جلیل القدر صاحب ورع و والی صدقات پیغمبر و امیر المؤمنین بودہ إلخ
‘Umar was among the distinguished Tabi’in, a man of dignity, abstinence, and administrator of the charity of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and Amir al Mu’minin.[19]
The famous Shia historian Ahmed ibn Abi Ya’qub ibn Jafar al Katib (d. 258/259 A.H.) in his Tarikh Ya’qubi while enumerating the sons of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu lists ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali as number eleven. The text reads:
و كان له من الولد الذكور أربعة عشر ذكرا الحسن و الحسين و محسن مات صغيرا أمهم فاطمة بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم … و عمر أمه أم حبيب بنت ربيعة البكرية إلخ
He had 14 sons viz. Hassan, Hussain, Muhassin who passed away in infancy―their mother is Fatimah bint Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam… and ‘Umar whose mother is Umm Habib bint Rabi’ah al Bakriyyah.[1]
b. The renowned Shia scholar, al Mufid (Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn al Nu’man) (d. 413 A.H.) in his al Irshad, in the chapter of Amir al Mu’minin’s offspring, enumerates 27 children of his with their names. Beginning with Hassan and Hussain, he lists ‘Umar and Ruqayyah at number 6 and 7, considering them as twins. He writes:
و عمر و رقية كانا توأمين
‘Umar and Ruqayyah were twins.[2]
c. The prominent gatherer of virtues and genealogist of the Shia ‘Ali ibn ‘Isa Arbili lists 14 sons and 19 daughters of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu in his book Kashf al Ghummah fi Ma’rifat al A’immah. ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali features number 13 on his list:
الذكور الحسن و الحسين و محمد الأكبر عبيد الله و أبو بكر و العباس و عثمان و جعفر و عبد الله و محمد الأصغر و يحيى و عون و عمر و محمد الأوسط عليهم السلام
Sons: Hassan, Hussain, Muhammad al Akbar, ‘Ubaid Allah, Abu Bakr, ‘Abbas, ‘Uthman, Jafar, ‘Abdullah, Muhammad al Asghar, Yahya, ‘Awn, ‘Umar, and Muhammad al Awsat―may peace be upon them.[3]
d. Sayed Jamal al Din Ahmed ibn ‘Ali commonly known as Ibn ‘Inabah (d. 828 A.H.) mentions in section five of ‘Umdat al Talib fi Ansab Al Abi Talib:
ذكر عقب عمر الأطرف بن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام أمه الصهباء الثعلبية
Discussion on the children of ‘Umar al Atraf ibn Amir al Mu’minin radiya Llahu ‘anhu. His mother is al Sahba’ al Tha’labiyyah from the captives of Yamamah.[4]
e. Mulla Al Baqir Majlisi (d. 1110/1111) the legendary Shia mujtahid of the 11th century begins a chapter on the number of martyrs of the Ahlul Bayt (who were martyred on the Day of ‘Ashura’) in Jala’ al ‘Uyun (Persian). He writes:
نز نفر از فرزندان امیر المؤمنین حضرت سید الشہدا و عباس و پسر او محمد و عمر و عثمان و جعفر و ابراہیم و عبد اللہ اصغر و محمد اصغر پسران امیر المومنین علیہ السلام
Nine of the children of Amir al Mu’minin: Sayed al Shuhada’ (Hussain), ‘Abbas, his grandson Muhammad, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman, Jafar, Ibrahim, and ‘Abdullah Asghar and Muhammad Asghar―the grandsons of Amir al Mu’minin.[5]
f. Section six of Muntaha al Amal of ‘Abbas al Qummi of the 14th century has a list of the issue of Sayyidina ‘Ali Amir al Mu’minin radiya Llahu ‘anhu:
عمر و رقیہ کبری ست کہ ہر دو تن تو ام از مادر متولد شدند و مادر ایشاں ام حبیب دختر ربیعہ است
‘Umar and Ruqayyah the eldest both were born to an umm walad[6], Umm Habib bint Rabi’ah.[7]
(Umm Habib is also called al Sahba’ al Tha’labiyyah.)
g. ‘Abbas Qummi writes the biography of this son in Tuhfat al Ahbab:
عمر بن علی بن ابی طالب کنیت اش ابو القاسم مادرش صہباء است و با رقیہ توأم بدنیا آمدہ و آنجناب بفصاحت زبان و سماحت طبع معروف بود … و او آخر کس ست از پسران امیر المومنین کہ وفات کردہ إلخ
‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib: His agnomen was Abu al Qasim. His mother was Sahba’. He entered the world as a twin with his sister Ruqayyah. He was famous for his eloquence and magnanimity. And he is the last son of Amir al Mu’minin to pass away.[8]
The summary of these narrations:
Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu had a son by the name ‘Umar.
His agnomen was Abu al Qasim and his title was al Atraf.
He was born as a twin with his sister Ruqayyah bint ‘Ali.
Their mother’s name was al Sahba’ al Tha’labiyyah al Bakriyyah who was captured from the Banu Taghlib tribe during the Siddiqi khilafah. Her agnomen was Umm Habib. She is the daughter of Rabi’ah. She was gifted to Sayyidina ‘Ali by Sayyidina Abu Bakr radiya Llahu ‘anhuma.
‘Umar was very eloquent and magnanimous.
He was the last son of Sayyidina ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu to leave this world.

Please check Surah Tawbah verse 101. Surah Munafiqon. Time and time again Prophet was informed that not all Muslims around him are believers. Even some wives of the Prophet were condemned at places in the Quran.

And among the bedouins around you, some are hypocrites, and so are some among the people of Al-Madinah who persist in hypocrisy; you know them not, We know them. We shall punish them twice, and thereafter they shall be brought back to a great (horrible) torment.
Please read the verse again. It is very clear that some of those within the close proximity and "around Prophet" were hypocrites. And to defy your logic of blaming only the Muslims of Medina of being hypocrites, the previous verse should be enough. The Quran praised Ansar and Muhajireen together and rebuked the hypocrites amongst them together.
As for wives, will you praise someone who said to the Prophet that "you have a bad smell?" Will you praise someone who broke Prophet's trust by disclosing his promise? Will you praise the one who according to Quran "collaborated against the Prophet"? Will you praise the one whom Quran said that "Allah will replace them with better"?
Sadly, some Muslims can easily belittle Prophet but when it comes to the caliphs and their daughters have all sorts of strange logics. We rest our case.

There is no attack. This is the 50th episode and there are episodes filled with praise of companions and wives. It seems you reached a conclusion too quickly.

The way of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah is to love the family (ahl al-bayt) of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
The Naasibis love the Sahaabah but hate the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), hence they were called Naasibis because they set themselves up (nasb) as enemies of the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
The Raafidis are the opposite: they love the Prophet’s family (ahl al-bayt) - or so they claim, but they hate the Sahaabah, whom they curse, denounce as kaafirs and criticize.
Whoever hates the Sahaabah hates Islam, because they are the bearers of Islam and the followers of the Chosen Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So whoever hates them hates Islam, and this indicates that there is no faith in the hearts of such people and that they do not love Islam.
This is an important basic principle which the Muslims should understand, namely loving and respecting the Sahaabah, because that is part of faith. Hating them or hating one of them is kufr and hypocrisy, because loving them is part of loving the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and hating them is part of hating the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

1) Firstly, the purpose is to historically examine different parts of the prophetic era history. You have reached a conclusion while you have only watched the 50th episode. So we will urge you to watch it entirely.
2) Your definition of Raafidi is incorrect. Nor do Shias or Raafidis, as you would like to call, hate the sahabas. Bara'at or disassociating oneself from those who went against the divine representatives of Allah is a concept well rooted in the Quran and Hadith of the Prophet. For no one do we have a hadith that he is from truth and truth is from him except for Imam Ali. So, we disassociate from those who took up sword against the truth.
3) The principle that you shared is not proved by the Quran. The Quranic verse in Surah Tawbah Allah has praised some of the companions but the next verse is filled with admonishment for some of the companions close to the Prophet. Similarly, history is filled with instances where the companions ridiculed each other, fought each other and even cursed each other.
4) Lastly, the two guiding source by the Prophet are the Quran and the Prophet's progeny (according to Sahi Muslim). Even if you take the version which mentions Sunnah, you will eventually reach Prophet's progeny because it is Sunnah to consider Imam Ali as your Mawla.

Surely we are more than 1400 years after the companions and Islam. These are Great Sahabas all of them, whether Ahlul bait or not. It is not a good idea to be negative about them and interpret everything on them the wrong way. Why should we reject the Sahih Hadiths just to make some sahabas who Wallahi they were greater than all of us. Moreover, we have to be positive because we don't know the truth since we are much away from these generations. Again why should we engage in such small divisions that non muslims take advantage of. @@LoyalMinion I understand your point but Allah has given us the guide, Quran through his prophet SAW and in addition the Sunnah of the prophet. People are arguing about something small like the character of this sahaba is superior or inferior to another sahaba. It is good to love and follow the sahaba example but we have what they themselves used to follow The Furqan which guides us to the key pillars of the religion. Therefore discussing such a small matter and arguing and hating each other about it is absolutely unnecessary as to my opinion. For we are all muslims and brothers in faith. Let us not be divided by small matters like this as long as we have the Quran to follow. Maybe we may make mistakes and dishonour extremely someone who is dear to Allah in this process. Therefore just being positive of the any muslim, the companions included is a good idea for we are not taking risks of saying or teaching something that is not true in the case.
On the day of Judgement, I would rather be on the side of the Prophet (Pbuh) and his Ahlulbayt. Versus the side of his fake “companions” who wanted nothing but power after the Prophet passed away.

Go back further in history with Issa, who betrayed him ? His closest companion did. So what makes it difficult for Muhammad’s companions not to ? Who is Allah talking about think with an open mind, people who probably are close to him. Eg 63:3 When the hypocrites come to you they say: 'We bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah'. Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars. They have made their oaths as a shield and turn [people] away from Allah. Evil indeed is that which they do! That is because they believed and then disbelieved. Their hearts were sealed and they do not understand"
Regarding following the Quran and sunnah there’s no where in the Sunni authentic books saying Quran and sunnah, but it says Quran and Ahlulbayt. But we do agree sunnah has to be followed of the prophet, and we get them from the Ahlulbayt.
We can’t come to conclusions that why should we talk about them and Allah knows best and all. Brother if Allah is Adil than I expect him not to favour mistakes of a companion of the prophet just because he was a companion. And the same prophet said whoever angers Fatema has angered me and whoever angers the prophet angers Allah. And the authentic Sunni hadith say Fatema died angry with Abubakr. That should answer you also why did the prophet warn about that and why did he mention to Ali & Fatema that they will face a tough time after him and they should have patience. So there is no biasness here. Sadly, it is the Sunni scholars that rely more on the narrations forged by Ummayyads while ignoring the other narrations found in their own books
Secondly, as far as existence of Shias are concerned, they did exist during the time of the Prophet. We have hadiths narrated by both schools that some companions were referred to as "Shia of Ali" during the time of the Prophet. Some notable ones include Salman, Abu Dharr and Ammar.
I never thought I would see someone calling himself a muslim talking about Omar this way. Cursing and belittling Omar will not get you anywhere.

Islam is where it is today bcos Allah's will and Omar's effort and generosity.
