I know Kristen has lived in OK, but from a girl who has grown up in Southeast Kansas, please wear shoes when the sirens go off. You never know if you’ll have to walk in debris. Glad you guys are safe! Also, don’t rely on the sirens! Just because the sirens aren’t sounding, doesn’t mean that there isn’t something heading your way.
Agreed on the sirens! I've been in a bad storm where the winds took OUT the tornado alarms. Luckily this was in the recent times of cell phone warning systems, otherwise I would have never known. Just do like you're doing and stay really near your shelter area or have a plan if you're away from home
I think the baby crawled out while he was getting the animals and sirens go off all the time with you never seeing a tornado. GA gets tornadoes. And when the sirens go off, which none of us have shelters, generally look out to see if we see it and if not, we go on about our business.
People during a tornado People in Oklahoma: Eh its just another day in tornado alley *Shrugs it off* Me during a tornado watch: HIDEE AHHHHHHH GET THE CHINCHILLA BRING HIM DOWNSTAIRS, WE GOTTA GO!!!!
Yeah, I got use to tornados. Now I'm one Washington and soon California,.it was raining a ton one day and I was at a public place with other kids my age they asked how Is wasn't scared. Just told them I'm used it tornados and rain isn't muchm A big tornado is how I would react to he way people that haven't had a tornado would probably react to a tornado.
No one will ever see this. But I really appreciate the calm manner these parents teach their kids. I guess it's part of growing up in this region, just learning to live with severe weather. Pro parenting.
If you can afford to live in such a big house you can afford to have an actual storm shelter built. You have a family man. If a strong tornado comes through there you, your family and that house would be gone...
Sabre Wolf storm shelters can be anywhere from 4,000 dollars to 64,000 dollars. Not saying he probably couldn’t afford it but when you’re already paying that much on kids and a house car and bills.
Exactly. My husband and I are looking for a house to buy and I REFUSE to buy one that doesn't have a good basement. We live in Iowa. Tornadoes are no effing joke. We could come across a house that is perfect in every way, within our budget and checks off all the things on our list but if there isn't a basement or it's not a suitable shelter, no deal.
Edawg 2302 houses in Oklahoma are relatively cheap. You get your money’s worth. This house would probably be near a million dollars in the northern 48, or even Colorado.
The scariest time for a tornado is at night because you can't see anything but you can hear wind and trees hitting stuff and thunder but you cant see it.
Ella's Life! You get used to it tbh. You have close calls all the time so it’s basically just chill in the shelter for a few then come back out when it passes.
No I wouldn’t get scared I would go to my basement take my phone my savings everything I need to my basement no matter what I won’t cry or anything I’ll, stay calm about 3 weeks ago I had a tornado in my area and I was away from windows and I was calm didn’t cry it didn’t hit my house at all so I’m good
When there’s a tornado warning my dad looks at the radar if the cell isn’t moving at us he couldn’t care less, my mom asks me where it is, and I go outside when I’m not supposed to, so that I can see the tornado
I want your family safe ! That closet is not safe it is to close to the outside wall .....build a underground shelter with indoor accessibility! Please ! Shoes and helmets also !
Ramona Cheasebro it’s crazy to think most house don’t have a basement or a shelter. And my uncle said it should be where we have to have a shelter to get house insurance. At my dads house the safest place is my dad’s restroom but it’s not really in the middle. And my grandparents built an extension to there House and there closet is a tornado shelter
Yeah, i have a mobile home and no shelter yet, but when its in my area or heading near me my family always packs the pets and goes to my grandpas house
Me: *lives in tornado alley* (I Live in Texas. It's not the worst but we still get tornadoes a bit often) Also me: *has no basement or shelter or closet near the middle of our house* Grandma: the hallway will save us!
Texas actually gets the most tornadoes of tornado alley. We don’t get the worst ones like Ok, but the most. Also, a lot of Texas is below sea level so that’s the reason for no basements.
Him interacting his his daughter with the slime to keep his daughter distracted from the weather to keep her not scared is the kindest and smartest thing a dad at that situation can do for his family 😊
You live in OK and no underground shelter? please, please invest in one. They can cut out a spot in your garage floor and place one in. Also get a weather radio. You don't mess with the weather when you live in OK. Stay safe!
95% of houses in tornado alley don't have any type of basement, unless you put one in or your house is very old. Most just can't afford any type of bought shelter.
Fracking caused the EQ. Solar minimum caused the tornado's. Going into a grand minimum and expect more extreme weather. Eyes Open No Fear. Earth is changing suspicious0bservers.org/
I live in South Dakota and everyone up here has basements to keep pipes from freezing during our extremely cold winters, but they also double as tornado shelters for us. I can't believe so many people can choose to live down farther south, especially in Oklahoma, the strong tornado capital of the world without some type of tornado shelter! Our town got hit by a tornado and everybody survived and there was only a couple minor injuries even though half the town was wiped out because every house has a basement. I was so scared when I saw you guys hiding in a closet, I hope since you've gotten an improved shelter haha
Awesome video and you have a beautiful family. Oklahoma gets tornadoes that the closet might not protect you although it seems to be the safest place you currently have. You need to have an underground shelter with a very secure lid / door. Take care of your blessings.
It is because they have never experienced the destruction and power of a tornado first hand. If they had they would not be so calm about the prospect of a possible tornado, IMO.
the closet is an outside wall, your family is not safe in there. Of course people never listen & if one hits you’ll be on the obituary list. Too late to learn.
Yeah but you might get stuck. He has a really big house already, basements are used for extra stuff and all, but his house has enough space. So it not needed
But you have to be smart, so let´s build a great closet to keep us safe in there. How on earth you live in the Tornado´s alley or sth like that, and you don´t have a cellar. You then see these people crying when things happen, but man, you earned it!
Hey I just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of your animals and keeping such a good eye on them especially since cats like to hide during storms. 😊

i seem to recall him discussing the possibility(ies) fairly soon after they bought the house .. under one of the wings ( like the hall between main house and TV/gaming room )
Huge nice house and no storm shelter, Talk about living dangerous.. If you get a F4 or F5 your closet will be gone too.

An ef2 hitting wooden house could've injured or killed his family hiding in that closet. Hope he invests in a storm shelter or safe room..

You guys talking bout how the need a shelter. BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW COOL AND FUNNY FAMILY THEY ARE
Sarah James yess
Are we going to talk about how cute these kids are
no
I'D RATHER NOT.
First priority when sirens go off:
Grabs all of the animals. Then he is like
“ now the baby.”
I am a cubing ChAnNeL that’s what I would do tbh
I think he's just being realistic that the animals can take longer to wrangle. The children are easier in this instance.
True but but it was just a joke
I think the baby crawled out while he was getting the animals and sirens go off all the time with you never seeing a tornado. GA gets tornadoes. And when the sirens go off, which none of us have shelters, generally look out to see if we see it and if not, we go on about our business.
That's gonna be me as a mother😂😂😂😂
People during a tornado
People in Oklahoma: Eh its just another day in tornado alley *Shrugs it off*
Me during a tornado watch: HIDEE AHHHHHHH GET THE CHINCHILLA BRING HIM DOWNSTAIRS, WE GOTTA GO!!!!
Blue AgentsSSO thats the same with me. I have two snakes and a lizard so i force my parents to help me bring the to the basement😂😂
Why is that me but with my dog who is over 100 pounds
Yeah, I got use to tornados. Now I'm one Washington and soon California,.it was raining a ton one day and I was at a public place with other kids my age they asked how Is wasn't scared. Just told them I'm used it tornados and rain isn't muchm A big tornado is how I would react to he way people that haven't had a tornado would probably react to a tornado.
Bruh I go outside to watch the tornado 😂😂😂
Blue AgentsSSO samee
Wow! Listening to chell talk im amazed at how much she says now!
Right?!! Her little voice is so cute!!
No one will ever see this. But I really appreciate the calm manner these parents teach their kids. I guess it's part of growing up in this region, just learning to live with severe weather. Pro parenting.

In Texas it’s been raining and lightning HARD in summer to xD
LOL this could not be anymore true. And 5 minutes later it'll be sunny as if nothing happened at all.
Let's see your storm shelter.
@@PlaguesandPestilence I have a basement actually hun
@@sabrewolf9498 Proved me wrong.
You guys need an actual safe room/ shelter.
That room would be fine if it was in a basement haha
Your supposed to be in a basement
Edawg 2302 Most homes in Oklahoma do not have basements because of the poor soil quality and high water table
Well there Basically rich I guess they have so much rooms
Edawg 2302 houses in Oklahoma are relatively cheap. You get your money’s worth.
This house would probably be near a million dollars in the northern 48, or even Colorado.
The scariest time for a tornado is at night because you can't see anything but you can hear wind and trees hitting stuff and thunder but you cant see it.
Happened to me in texas but I was more interested for some reason and it was my first one
also rain wrapped tornadoes you usually can’t see those even in daylight.
All I can say is that you are brave. I would be in a corner crying while hiding.😂❤
Same I have anxiety and get scared easy
Lol same dude
Ella's Life! You get used to it tbh. You have close calls all the time so it’s basically just chill in the shelter for a few then come back out when it passes.
Me too! Last time I had a tornado touch ground in my area I was BALLING MY EYES OUT!😂
No I wouldn’t get scared I would go to my basement take my phone my savings everything I need to my basement no matter what I won’t cry or anything I’ll, stay calm about 3 weeks ago I had a tornado in my area and I was away from windows and I was calm didn’t cry it didn’t hit my house at all so I’m good

When there’s a tornado warning my dad looks at the radar if the cell isn’t moving at us he couldn’t care less, my mom asks me where it is, and I go outside when I’m not supposed to, so that I can see the tornado

I love how you teach the little ones not to panic. It's like a normal day, just staying ... cozy.
So nice to hear from you guys again, you have all been highly missed.
Being in Oklahoma, you need to be wary of rain-wrapped tornadoes. You won't be able to see them due to the intense rain bands.
Seconding this when it's raining that hard and there is a tornado warning you need to go to a shelter.
Absolutely.
XWierdThingsHappenX if there’s a tornado warning in general, get your ass in a shelter
good thing i live in good ol' Massachusetts and dont experience this
What if you live in an apartment and don’t have a shelter? What should you do??
There room is in the middle of the house they said but they should where, helmets
What I love about this is, they are teaching their children tornado safety. Beautiful home and I'd hate for it to take any damage, period.

(I Live in Texas. It's not the worst but we still get tornadoes a bit often)
Also me: *has no basement or shelter or closet near the middle of our house*
Grandma: the hallway will save us!
Texas actually gets the most tornadoes of tornado alley. We don’t get the worst ones like Ok, but the most. Also, a lot of Texas is below sea level so that’s the reason for no basements.
E Wood Not only that, but our soil is pretty weak. So no basements for us!
lol same my grandma does the same instead of the bathroom
I live in tornado alley (texas) but where i live there is no alarms so.........😕
Hi kitty - no alarms where I am either. Just the tv warnings as long as your cable or satellite is working.

You live in OK and no underground shelter? please, please invest in one. They can cut out a spot in your garage floor and place one in. Also get a weather radio. You don't mess with the weather when you live in OK. Stay safe!
Some people can't have a tornado shelter because of the type of place they live
95% of houses in tornado alley don't have any type of basement, unless you put one in or your house is very old. Most just can't afford any type of bought shelter.
I admire that woman for raising three children of wildly different ages😃
My mom had a guest over in Oklahoma once at her work. They had a earthquake and a tornado in one day.
Welcome to Oklahoma

I live in South Dakota and everyone up here has basements to keep pipes from freezing during our extremely cold winters, but they also double as tornado shelters for us. I can't believe so many people can choose to live down farther south, especially in Oklahoma, the strong tornado capital of the world without some type of tornado shelter! Our town got hit by a tornado and everybody survived and there was only a couple minor injuries even though half the town was wiped out because every house has a basement. I was so scared when I saw you guys hiding in a closet, I hope since you've gotten an improved shelter haha
I live in oklahoma and my town hasn't been hit by a tornado in decades. Kind of weird when you think about it
Same 🤔🤙
Meme Elitist you better knock on wood

Lol that's really funny great meme job
Awesome video and you have a beautiful family. Oklahoma gets tornadoes that the closet might not protect you although it seems to be the safest place you currently have. You need to have an underground shelter with a very secure lid / door. Take care of your blessings.
im just wondering how your kids are so
calm. even if i was used to tornados i would still be freaking out🤣
I had the same thought. But I guess it’s cause they life in tornado alley .
It is because they have never experienced the destruction and power of a tornado first hand. If they had they would not be so calm about the prospect of a possible tornado, IMO.
They dont know what a tornado is.
Kailey Lothery lol same
If I lived in Oklahoma I would have a storm cellar closet isn't going to protect anything
the closet is an outside wall, your family is not safe in there. Of course people never listen & if one hits you’ll be on the obituary list. Too late to learn.
Jan Hoyle That depends. If you live in a really old house like I do, the outside walls are the load-bearing structure, so probably safe.
Funny truth is most people here in oklahoma dont have one. I dont but i know 2 people close by who do
I live in Oklahoma, we don't have a shelter because we can't afford one but we do have a place open to the public to go to.
yeah it was bad!
Ok how could you have like a mansion and not a bAsEmENt
Edit:omg thank you so much for the likes
Btw it was my opinion so dont come for me
vickis corner Exactly
well storm cellar would be ideal. basements in oklahoma don’t usually work because of the thick red dirt and all the moisture
Deacon Woodie and then debris falling on the basement and then you can’t get out
Exactly!!
Yeah but you might get stuck. He has a really big house already, basements are used for extra stuff and all, but his house has enough space. So it not needed
That’s the coolest dad ever

But you have to be smart, so let´s build a great closet to keep us safe in there. How on earth you live in the Tornado´s alley or sth like that, and you don´t have a cellar. You then see these people crying when things happen, but man, you earned it!
