It's a camera placed in an actual crane arcade where players virtually control the crane. Hence why some people give actual assists
Actual crane game controlled remotely. As far as i understand it, it's basically gambling. Each crane "turn" costs money, meaning that you could get lucky and end up getting the item you want for cheap, or you could end up spending a whole bunch of money and still not get anything or at least not get the item you want. Kinda like the IRL-version of lootboxes.

Compared to my local Chuck E Cheese who deliberately rigged all the machines to make it impossible to win, I think these machines are pretty fair.

I tried something like this once when Tokyo Otaku Mode was advertising it a couple of years back. I didn't get anything cause there was an input delay. You had to release the movement of the claw earlier by a second or so to get what you wanted.
One think I love about Neko is that they never let their edits interrupt the clip.
Most clip channels with edits don't make me laugh either but Neko does it right. No reliance on dead memes etc
