When I used to have red hair I would mix a little manic panic with my conditioner and it worked wonders. Probably much less expensive too

Yea if you use overtone ginger just be careful to leave it on as long as it says cause it comes out like a deep orange red when you leave it in longer then 10-15 minutes

Yes girl I was thinking the exact same thing when you used the container! I literally just went ginger with this product they used almost the entire container! And I have darker brown hair and don’t get me wrong my hair has red heels now, but it just seemed like I had to use the whole product if I wanted to even do another dose I’d have to spend another $30! I totally feel you on that
They have a daily conditioner you can use to keep it fresh
The daily conditioner works really well and lasts a good while

I just got this in today. And honestly I used about 25% of the jar and I have very short, almost a-line Bob hair. Comes to the nape of my neck and it was just not very spreadable. Like I expected a seriously packed jar for the price of it? If that makes sense. It smells like mint alooooot. Which is very nice. I would have expected a fruity smell. Like oranges or grapes. It’s expensive and I’m a level 7 blonde. Waiting for my results now.

Those were the results I was hoping for. I have light/medium brown hair with a faded red tone, so definitely a little darker than yours. It made a slight difference, but not nearly as dramatic as I was hoping for. I'm about to mix the ginger and extreme orange and hoping for that color 🤞. I just want a somewhat natural look like yours.

I have hair that’s a bit darker than medium brown but it has red/orange tones and I have Orange for Brown Hair in right now! As far as I can tell, it’s working pretty well so maybe that would be a good option?

My hair is still extremely vibrant! It’s been about 16 days and it’s the perfect shade of ginger now. I wash my hair twice a week so that probably helps too.
@@TaylorWhiteside I was wondering this, too. Any updates on how long before you felt like you needed to reapply all over? Mine comes today! I'm a natural redhead and want that pop back from when I was a little kid. Can't wait! I've heard you can mix the overtone conditioner with your regular white conditioner you normally use to "dilute" it a bit to make it less strong if need be. I may start there and see how I can build pigment so I'm not using so much of the tub of product.

How long does it take to fade away?
My hair is still the same color, maybe not as vibrant but definitely still gingery! I’m shocked because I did my hair a month ago and the color is still going strong.

When I got this color it did not come out as advertised at all. When I complained to the company they ignored me until the 4th complaint and as soon as they acknowledged the complaint they immediately closed it and refused to assist me.
Liza Resurreccion that’s what I’m afraid of. I keep watching videos and for some people it works really well, like this one, and others you can’t see a shade change at all. And I have very temperamental hair.
SAME! I put ginger over my platinum hair and it turned out BRIGHT CLOWN ORANGE. Not at all natural looking. I couldn't get it out of my hair for anything. I tried it all. Clarifying shampoos, vitamin C wash, I even did a strand test with bleach and it didn't remove it!! I finally had to dye my hair back to dark brown just so I could go out in public without being stared at- something I did NOT want to have to do, after lightening it to platinum. They weren't helpful, and they also remove negative reviews.
Does it wash completely out?
It never washed completely out of my hair. It left a little bit of a stain on my “blondish” hair to a rose gold color if I did not reapply the Overtone after a month. ❤️
How long does the ginger color last for?
I would say it took more than a month and a half to start to kind of wash out. But my hair is still very vibrant!

No it only shows what the colors will look like over every color EXCEPT NATURAL RED HAIR yeah. Appreciate that Artic Fox, I'm sure there weren't any redheads available...or is it because that it won't lift on real red hair? Because I look all over the internet for info about what certain dyes look like on ginger/red hair but guess what? There isn't hardly anything. Any redhead colorists out there? Now would be your time to shine on youtube. you'd probably get the entire redhead population. Which is only like 2 percent of the world but hey, they'd all be watching you. Ain't nobody else to watch. I'm tired of looking all over the net just to find one video of a 14 yr old girl using pink colorista. We need a real guru ppl.
Let me say this overtone is the truth however it WILL stain your tub your skin and if you have nail polish or fake nails it will destroy them. Love the product smells great and it is great between coloring gets the roots to blend flawlessly. Just please wear gloves and be careful with the bath tub

Use an exfoliating scrub around your hairline and on your hands if you forget to wear gloves like I do lol Not with fake nails though!
Just use henna. That's how this real Redhead keeps my red vibrant (aging, it fades). And it lasts for MONTHS and fades naturally - no roots. Plus true henna is only in red shades and is all natural and gives hair body. It's applied EXACTLY the same as this product.

The only problem I've found (having used henna for several years) is that it seriously messes with the texture of my hair. I have naturally wavy hair and this relaxes it so much that it becomes almost straight (but not quite, it got an undesirable sort of bump at the bottom). Now if that doesn't bother you that's fine. I was struggling because I like my hair's natural texture and usually don't style it at all, with henna I had to almost every day. I think it's because henna is sooo packed with oils (good oils but oils none the less).
How long does the henna last ? I'm a natural red head and now more strawberry blonde . its more my roots and sides are really light im still red just lighter at the top.
Henna is great but also very permanent.
If you ever plan to put bleach on your hair, like lighten or highlights//balayage, do not use henna. Your hair will turn green anywhere you used the henna, so you will have to grow it all out before using any kind of bleach again. Henna on top of bleach is ok, but never the other way. It's very permanent.
Use it on wet hair not dry and you wont use that much!!
