(Plus in game it hints chara was not a normal child since the gift that was for chara in their room was the real knife)
I never saw Chara as a villain, more as a human version of sans, if you will. But instead of to frisk, to us the player. But that doesn´t mean I can´t enjoy watching these Charas get dunked on

It's very possible that Chara is a vengeful spirit, I mean watching/sensing?(I dont know how they know what happens after going into a monster) your adopted brother die as a child probably would make you a bit evil in your after life. There is more I can say but ill just cut this short and say that while we are the Big bad doesn't change that there are other villain's and antagonists, and that it is Flowey and Chara. You can disagree that Chara is not a villain, this is my personal opinion and you are allowed to have yours.(sorry if I made it sound rude)
