Hey I'm a future Female in the Army and this video sounds helpful and it will benefit me. that's right be 15 Mins early. don't walk in the Grass. when talking to a Higher Rank always stand on Parade Rest. and deffitnely no chewing gum. and cannot show any kind of affection while in uniform. My father was a drill sergeant in WW II. he would always say to my brother and me, "If you're not at least fifteen minutes early, you're late. A few years ago I met a man whose father was also a drill instructor. And in the course of our conversation I asked him if he could guess what my father said about being late. He replied, "If you're not at least..."

I once got in trouble for putting trash in a trash can. I had just picked up mail from my mail box. I opened a letter and put the envelope, with my name on it inside the trash can in the latrene. An NCO found the envelope and I was told that trash can was not for my personal trash and I was assigned 30 day of latrene duty.
I picked 11B, but i enter as an 11x, then depending on my skills, marksmanship, & other stuff during training, i will either be put as 11b (infantry direct fire) or 11c (mortar team indirect fire)
I had an SGT get in trouble for damage to Army property from neglect. He had an ANCD in his backpack and it was broken in half while on patrol in Iraq back in 2003
Interessting Video! I dont know the Regulations in the US Forces, but in the german Bundeswehr you have to wear your Uniform on your way home if you leave the barracks for holiday to remain recognizable as Soldier to the Military Police (Feldjäger). One thing from my Serivce, but it didnt happen to me: We where 5 and did leave barracks for 2 days for a Holiday-Weekend, traveling home by Train. It was hot in Summer and one of us switched his Uniform to t-shirt, shorts and flipflops. When we had to change the Train in Erfurt, unfortunatly the german Military Police was passing by on patrol at the Station just as we left the train and came over to check our papers. So 4 of us went home and one was going back to the barracks, he got a lot of trouble for that and weekend was canceld for extra duty.
Another one would be making sure ur dress uniform is squared away at all times cause they can have a inspection and if you don’t fit the uniform or don’t have the proper pins ect that’s a negative counseling but they usually tell you a few weeks in advanced
It happens bro I have a good amount of them for little things because my ncos don’t choose to smoke soldiers they just put it it on paper which is worse tbh cause it can amount to ucmj but smoking soldiers today can be considered hazing that’s why they stay away from it
One time in basic a bunch of us were doing KP. We were given a little break and were out behind the DFAC. One of the guys had gotten an apple and was eating it. Drill Sargent came by and caught him. Made him eat the whole apple, even the core.
My uncle when he was in his armored division, so to the story , he was giving a hot foot ( which is when you hold a liter under there foot) so that guy starts chasing him around a truck, so the guy picks up a sledgehammer over the top of the truck, my uncle said that he looked up and blacks out, he said when he came back he saw that the sergeant is yelling at everyone because they thought he was dead
I got in trouble one time for not having a haircut In time I was told I had 5 minutes to get a cut or I was having an article 15 Uncle 15th luckily we had a Barber in our Platoon
I knew a guy that got arrested AND put in confined custody for writing bad checks. I knew two other guys that got in a fistfight in the dayroom. Both got a reduction in rank.
Once when I was stationed in Korea,I failed to salute a MAJOR !!! YEAH. Didn't see him, honest, but he saw me !!! LOL. Get on down,he said and I started doing push-ups,I look over to my right and the major is doing push-ups with me.RECOVER-he roared. I did.Don't let this happen again he said.I didn't.Saluted him and got out of his .A.O. !!! ASAP !!! LOL. And I never let that happen AGAIN. SEMPER-FI.
What is something you have gotten in trouble for that is common in the Army?

I routinely avoided saluting officers when walking by them. After a company grade Article 15 and reduction in pay change my position.
Salute them as much as possible, cross the street to get em. They eventually avoid you if they see you.
Yah, a ran into a total bitch outside the base hospital. SHE saluted me. Oh shi! Meh.

I was told to lose some weight at my last unit before I got out of the Army and my bed was sometimes not made right for the barracks inspection.
