Too funny. The biazzare world of cats. I have had and have cats and piggies together half will ignore them and half will interact. I currently have 6 piggies and 4 cats. My female cats ignore piggies one is a BIG hunter. My one male cat also is a BIG hunter but occasionally likes to sleep in the pig cage and our youngest male kitty is the same age as my youngest piggies, born the same month. He thinks he's the 7th piggie. Eats hay and their kibble, sleeps in the cage and at one time tried to wrestle with my male piggue like kittens do. My male piggie nipped kitty, no more wrestling just snuggles 😅.
I have a dachshund, 3 cats and 2 Guinea pigs. I can’t put them in a separate room. I have an Open Habitat 30 by 60 cage and it has a top on it. I have a cat that will sit on my chair with the dog and Guinea pigs in my lap. They don’t bother my piggies. I wouldn’t leave them out without me having them in their lap sack.

It’s not really something I can gauge. Bc it all depends on the pig. Some are higher maintenance some are more prone to dental disease, stones and things. But Guinea pigs are way more expensive than having a dog or cat. And require you to have a vet and have proper vet checks every 3-6 months.

cats and tape, i really don't get it.
I grew up with cats. I currently have 3 cats and then 10 Guinea pigs, 2 dogs. Kitty’s are just never allowed in the piggie room.
So fun! Our house is too small for cats with the 2 dogs we have bc my wolf mix has a very high prey drive.
