What other camera manufacturer would post an unbiased photographer’s opinion even mentioning other manufacturers in a good light? none. Well done Pentax this sums up your philosophy and the great people who use your products.
Ive never looked at Pentax, Ive always shot with Canon, Fujifilm and Sony. Over the holidays I was gifted my late father in laws Old Pemtax K110d 6mp Dslr. Ive been using it for the past few weeks and....I get it, it feels great in the hand, the layout is logical and the images are great. This was an entry level camera, I can just imagine what a pro body must feel like.

Great video. I can totally relate. I use a Canon mirrorless for work, but Pentax for personal use. Living in Japan, it’s an added plus to hear the views of a fellow photographer who also lives in Japan taking artistic photos in the same environments that I work with.

I was a Fuji shooter. I tried Sony A7 series (felt cheap). Something drew me to Pentax. Maybe the Takumars I had because I owned some for my mirrorless cameras. So I bought a Pentax body. I think it was a K-3. Didn't warm up to it immediately so sold it. After a while, I missed the OVF. Long story short, bought one again and it was end of story. I had access to a whole ecosystem that dates back to the 70s. A year later, I sold all my Fuji glass except one. Kept one body. The X Pro2. I have the K1 and KP and mechanical cameras like the KX and MX. I interchange lenses and accessories between the old and new bodies. No system is like Pentax. On top of that, nothing can replace the OVF experience. We stare at screens all day so I prefer the OVF all day.

この原点から離れたくないとずっと思ってました。変なたとえですが、仏教を知るのに昔の中国人や日本人が見た「仏教」ではなく、できるだけブッダその人が説いた仏教を知りたい、そのためには漢文の経典を通して見える「仏教」ではなくて、パーリ語やサンスクリット語をとおして見える仏教を知りたいとおもうのと同じ感覚。
ペンタックスがそういうユーザーの意志、気持ちを守ってくれるのなら、僕はペンタックスユーザーになります。

木村琢磨さんて器用な作家さんですよね。器用な作家さんに道具として使用されているPENTAXってかっこいいです。
私は器用でないから マニュアル露出でちょっと操作や考えをこじらした時「とりあえず緑のボタンで適正露出で一枚撮影してから」って

The viewfinder most important. The screen that should be used for viewing and focusing. Too much thrown away for "Auto: focus. A bad trade! Bravo Takuma and Pentax.
Pentax should start thinking about Hybrid cameras that combine traditional DSLRs and Mirrorless in one body. Unlike now, it is only a Live View mode feature which still involves the mechanical movement of the mirror block every time you take a picture. The mirror module should only move when switching from DLSR mode to Mirrorless mode only. It also allows further development if Pentax one day makes a mirrorless camera (perhaps the continuation of the Pentax-K01) without having to abandon the K mount and vintage lenses. One continuous and consistent evolutionary transition.
I can't agree more ... with my cameras that i am the most comfortable with, I take the best pictures...I appreciate Pentax/Ricoh doing still SLR's because the ovf is what i like - otherwise i would have to rely solely on my Leica M for an ovf... I would not need a Pentax mirrorless, because i think the strength of Pentax comes out especially with SLR....Besides, if Pentax were go mirrorless we risk they rebrand to "Pentless" 🤣 so better stay with ovf and Pentax 😁
Pentax means max, means "Pentmax"! Have an old P30. And soon probably a KF! .... and who knows, perhaps the next K1 mark III ? I'm waiting for a 60MP-Camera or more! In silver-black; or black-night blue! Please, oh please ! ....
Build them ... and they will come! All-mechanical .. "no batteries required" .. easier REPAIR-ABILITY. Build a new range of desirable mechanical classics. The K-1000, MX, LX (with interchangeable view-finders BUT sans electronics & degradable rubber ("sticky mirror" as in my LX)
