That national button you found is a button off of the over alls that old men wore with the old straps over the shoulders and it is used on anything made of denim fabric.

You would be shocked if you saw how loaded the hilltops are above the river with artifacts. There are far more in the woods on the high points than the river even,.

man I got lucky on that celt. That is probably in all honesty the best find in the dump all year. On the river....my god cynthia. I have picked up 4 clovis points up to this point....just laying flat out on beaches. Only 1 of them was partially covered.
I have a Celt that I found in Berlin Center Ohio. I also have an old wooden box that has a Frankhouser address on it.
The old box was in a shed at the house I bought at the bottom of the hill from the dump

Awesome Celt Rocks! I bet that is an Indian camp under the trash! At one point in the vid it looked like some fire cracked rock laying around next to where you were diggin. Also, I remember one of your earlier dump digging vids you found a nutting stone in with the trash. Are you at the same spot?? Keep it up brotha!
Man I got lucky on that. I think probably an Indian Site there. But the ground is so hard and full of roots....and trash...I doubt I could ever do much at all there. I bet the top of that hill if cleared and plowed would be loaded.

Find it hard to believe anyone would throw a Celt away. Guess we’ll never know.
How do u go about finding these old dumps do u just come across them
Ask any older people in the town you live in. All towns had town dumps where you drove to dump. prior to a certain date everywhere there was no trash pickup. It is easy man. Every town has dozens of big dumps. Any road going out of town with places to throw stuff over a hill...there is stuff there...same with along creeks. They burnt trash in dumps alot. The creeks were used as a buffer for the fires. There are dumps along any creek that had homes along it. the full length.
Get a digging probe too. You can watch videos on how to use a digging probe to find bottles. Then you can find Privy's. Type in Privy Digging into youtube. Thee will be a privy in any old house yard.....and they are full of beautiful old bottles.
If you go into a place like a VFW and talk to the guys there over like 70 years old. And if they grew up in the area.....most of those guys hunt and fish. And if you buy some rounds and BS them a little. They will tell you where they have seen bottles while fishing or hunting.. State Road workers. if you see them working by the road with heavy machinery....stop and talk to the guy in charge. Offer to buy him and his crew lunch to talk a few minutes. Ask about seeing bottle dumps along the roads.....and leave your number with the guy in case they are digging and hit botles or find a dump. And tell him you will buy them lunch again if he calls with tips.
