Thanks for showin up. Your hunts are always interesting. Out here on the TX Plains I don't find much other than jasper, and mostly broken if they have any size to 'em. Farming is hell on artifacts. We find some medium size arrowheads of a gray rock I don't recognize. Jasper is easy to see, contrasts with our soil color. See ya soon!

There is a spot on the Texas Gulf Coast just west of the Louisiana border at Sea Rim State Park / McFaddin Beach. This area was home to a now offshore native settlement during the last ice age. Points still wash up along with megafauna fossils. It ain't the prettiest place in the world, but I'd love to see you take a gander over there.

I appreciate it very much Bob. I built this sifter myself using a yard fire pit top reinforced with half inch hardware cloth cut to fit and ziptied to the frame... the floating noodles were then split and also ziptied to the frame.
Studying types .,periods, and ages of these artifacts has fascinated me since I was ten years old. Reckon why is it most of the time when im digging if its a decent sized point most the time they are on top of the shovel pile? I noticed you said same thing. Ive always wondered that myself.
I think that the point gets scooped and slides off the shovel back down to where I'm digging and it comes up on top of the shovel in the ensuing scoops

That's a loaded question...I have and would consider it...it's been offered .,but people can't or don't follow up because of distance....this place in particular is a pretty difficult hike to get to...many factors come into play when it comes to trying to plan a trip....what are your thoughts..?

Pretty much..😂....seriously though.,I used to find 75 to 125 a year in Northeastern Mississippi...Moved to Madison for several years...all I could muster down there was about 20 or 30 a year. Of course.,I didn't know the area and had fewer places to hunt. If I were you.,I would get a topo app and find the smaller feeder streams.

Depends on your state laws....
Pinetree? It looks like it has a right-hand bevel. If it does then a Lost Lake or maybe a Hardin seems more likely
