I loved, loved this show. The whole concept was so fresh, and well paced. The interiors were divine. So many design/home shows out there, but this one is one of the best.
I think this was the very first episode of Design Inc, filmed before Sarah got married or just after she was married. Still one of the prettiest paintings.

I love how this came together! That stairwell certainly was a problem (noise-wise) but they made the solution work. Too bad about the window, however, the client shouldn't mind the compromise considering how well this place looks. Fixing all that rot should be done, but we all have budgets that we have to live within. Next year.

Wow. I actually am beginning to like neutrals. I was a former beige hater. My old house was everything beige. After my Mother passed away I started by painting the living room turquoise. Been into color ever since. But this is very good.

Lovely end product. I just wish they had shown how the soundproofing curtains open and close; they are basically the “door” to the bedroom. The floor plan is bizarre - no true privacy for a couple.
I think it was never meant to be a bedroom, maybe another living room.

Is it "bump"? There's a thickening (for lack of a better word) material, sewn in between the face fabric & the lining of draperies, that might help dampen sound?

Why paint the wall behind the headboard the same color???
I think it’s such a shame they didn’t go with the velvet drapes around the staircase, it would have been gorgeous, they needed to change the position of that painting over the bed , the colours were too strong , it ruined the whole look, it draws your eye and takes away from the other pieces, it would have looked better in another part of the room. I think if the client had just left it to Sarah and the crew she would have gotten a better outcome with the entire space.

she is lovely but this is over 10y ago at least. when does the "muscle" show up in high heels and coffee XL in hand? the outcome is classic, opulent and timeless. i wouldnt be surprised if they still have same decor
this pic on the wall is so kitch omg...otherwise it is typical american bourgeois classic, heavy fourniture style....not impressed

I agree, the painting was rather "kitchy", but the client loved it so much she wanted the redesign to center around it. This is what _home_ design is about - things you love to surround yourself with - even if it is bourgeois and kitchy.

Not impressed by the video quality: too jerky and low resolution. Come on, was this video done with a cell phone? Content and result are good, though.
