    It was proposed that a change of powerplant could be made to the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp, which was already in use on Royal Australian Air Force Lockheed Hudsons.

      Learn history, and lose your socio-political AGENDA. Britain Did Not cut Australia loose, Britain was fighting so it's island could be used as a launch point to fight Nazi Germany. No-one and no-country has unlimited resources.

    Not a "stellar" design but it could get the job done. If sent in on the later day equivalents of 'The charge of the light brigade", it got slaughtered (as would any of its torpedo bomber contemporaries...think Midway...). When deployed with some thought to tactics and air cover, it was effective. The Australian built models more than proved their worth. Very much an underappreciated combat aircraft.
