Thanks for taking one for the team. I’m glad I didn’t get one.
I'm still gonna buy one.
@@MrCentralDriver 👍 nice
lmfao
What is that suppose to mean? Glad you didn't get one? Other youtubers say the ride is super smooth. The throttle sounds like it sucks though
@@MrCentralDriver Well that 's not a suprise !
The coolest and strangest thing happened to me yesterday. I'm always upset because I never have anyone to ride with where I live. I randomly came across a group ride and got invited to join them right then and for future rides. I'm so freaking happy.
glad you told the truth about the actual controller amps. people think this bike is a constant 7200 watt bike but thats only for like 30 seconds every few minutes haha
you're welcome. it is a bac2000 btw though not a bac4000.
This bike has been on my radar for a little while now. I appreciate your honesty in the review. I’m sure you’ve heard of Land MOTO district bike. More of a motorcycle however I sent them an email a few weeks ago asking if they ever planned on making a pedal kit for their bike or additional models with pedals. They said possibly see some new model towards the end of the year with a pedal option. They seem to have better quality parts on their bikes.
Nice review! You really put it through the paces! Love the blue!
Glad you liked it!
Awesome review. I agree the wight is amazing. My amyet is like 80 lbs and that's very manageable. This is awesome for a good $4k it's comparable to a build for that price tbh
Good Video! When people ask me what ebike to buy, I usually tell them to buy one that they like that they can afford (lower starting price and upgrade as the funds come in) or one that checks all the marks (no upgrades needed-money be damned). It's always going to cost PEV-addicts 4 to 5 grand when all is said & done. Even though this particular Lyric may be a prototype-ish that multiple people have tested, it is still on my list for one that checks all marks, but looks like it may need some minor bugs worked out before rollout.
Also WTF!!!! Bikers rolling up on you and yanking your key out while you're riding. Even though I visit relatives at their Tulare property now & then, I guess I haven't spent much time in the Central Valley to witness people doing some BS stuff like that (Get it together San Joaquín Valley!!)
28 degrees cooler on a hot day after adding Statorade and hub fins to my RCR. No more controller shutdowns of the bike so far even with a higher power Fardriver. So impressed I'm doing my Stealth bomber clone next!
Cool video, nice bike. Damn nice bike, it’s just. I want SOUND!!! A silent bike is deadly if you think about it
Sweet Bike! Check out the Freego X2. That's my next ebike. Surron clone with peddles, 3000k hub motor.
I like the look and performance of the Graffiti X but for a few dollars more just go out and buy the Spark Cycle Works Brute. It's a faster bike with better motorcycle components right out the gate and this small company stands behind their products 100%.
We also stand behind ours and aren’t a large company either. Spark is doing a great job of being innovative as well. We’ll back anyone that’s putting themselves out there to try and deliver something differentiated. It’s not easy work.
As a happy lyric customer they back their products 100%, they were extremely helpful when it came to dealing with the insurance company after I got hit while traveling in a bike lane. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road soon.
I checked out the Brute, seems legit. Honestly I keep going back to the Ryvid Outset for everything you get for the price and it's a real motorcycle. Not a poiser at almost the same price without all the power and equipment. Now if any of these manufacturers could do it for around $3k then it would make sense. 🤔
I’m looking for e-bike moped style. I’ve watched all your videos on those. Would you recommend the revv1?
Everyone bashing the bike because of this lol to their defense this is a review bike this is not a production bike they have stated this many times… you can tell by how bad some things are in terms of quality… the main purpose of them sending out these review bikes is so if any problems pop up they can find a solution before August delivery date 🤷♂️
Yep. I talked to them and they will be looking into this now. Yall can thank me later lol
What app on your phone do you use for tracking your mph?
Yes, bro, there is always a way to ride courteously. On a e-bike so you don't piss of other road users
I don't know what 24H means for that bike, but I'l bet the farm that it's an overheat code. It's a hub motor. You can't run them ragged in high temps for long periods of time. It's not so much a defect, as it is the nature of these large gearless hub motors.
I have an onyx CTY2 and RCR. Before those hub motors were modded with statoraid and hubsink heatsinks, I would get overheats on nearly every ride. I admint it was upsetting, but it's the nature of the beast.
With that being said, I'd also just about guarantee that if you added a dose of statoraid and heatsinks to the motor, then you'd really have to whip it to get overheats and shut downs.
Since modding my motors, I have to full throttle it from stops over and over again for nearly an hour to get an overheat motor cut.
It's the stop and go (with full throttle) that is causing the motor to over heat. You're dumping max wattage into the motor without giving it time to level out and let in rush current drop to nominal levels. This is causing heat buildup.
If you're in stop-n-go traffic, modulate your throttle better and this won't happen.
I still prefer the Ristretto 512 over this even how it looks!
The 24h does show up on an overheat. But we have a temperature sensor running and it depowers the bike to protect it from damage when you get near the thermal boundary. That being said, it’s possible that the heat was close to the boundary and on the next acceleration it spooled up too quickly for the controller to react in time and then it shut itself down from the heat. But the fact that the bike had an audible noise after the issue is typically a hall sensor that isn’t receiving the information it is expecting. On a typical overheat condition the rider will be able to keep going with only a little less power than previous until the motor has cooled down again. We will be reviewing the bike to see what we can find as the root cause and will message back here to let you know what we find. We’ve obviously not had this issue happen on multiple rides, tests, demos, dynos, etc until now.
@@lyriccycles Glad to see you guys and gals are looking into it and engaging with the community on the issue.
@@lyriccyclesand that's why companies lend products for testing. Amazing reply. And glad it happened while testing it
There are better options for four thousand dollars for sure. It comes down to dependability, range and comfort for me. This one falls short. Thanks for the review it revealed a lot.
This is a prototype, I chose this over all others can afford pretty much anything.
You'd think that they would have a cooling system built in.
Really like watching your videos !! Be mindful , during the video mentioning drivers pulling up through the cross road calling them idiots . If you are in a car and you see someone riding up in the bike lane , they are in no way expecting someone to be riding in the bike lane anywhere near that speed , so likely catching them off guard . Other wise great videos
Could you review the ridstar q20 pro next?
Which is a more comfortable ride or has the more cushiony suspension? This or the power goat that u have there?
I only took the goat bike down the street. I cant compare yet. This bike is not very comfortable suspension wise. Feels like the onyx rcr the way the suspension is setup.
@@MrCentralDriver , it’s the design of the suspension. The shocks are way back at the end of the bike so they can only compress an inch or so.
what do u think the bike needs to make it comfortable enough for u to be okay with it? and do u think it will easy to change it to thumb throttle?
Rear suspension needs softer suspension for my weight. Smaller grips for my hands to feel better for long rides. I like everything else about it.
Honest review! you're the only TH-camr who has given any negatives or Cons. It's a great bike but it's not 96 lbs its a 120 lbs and for 4k I'd get a Goat bike and a Ghost cat. Thanks for the video!
The review spec sheet I got it says:
TOTAL WEIGHT
73 lbs (33 kg) without battery
BATTERY & MOTOR WEIGHT
Battery: 24 lbs (11 kg)
Thank you for understanding I try and show pros and cons instead of just trying to sell a bike.
@@MrCentralDriver Sounds like those specs are not for the X.
onyx CTY2 going strong 8 months used daily for a 12 mile round trip, I even tuned the controller to be way stronger than stock. I have had absolutely no issues with it. I even accidentally pulled a wheelie last week xD
My onyx rcr had a huge decrease in power when the motor got hot. I didn't notice any change in power the whole time I rode this.
@@MrCentralDriver huh.. yeah I watched your onyx video a while ago and always thought it was strange. Tbh I've never heard of anyone having that issue doesn't sound like an onyx issue. I don't treat my bike exactly the best and it still acts like new.
@@MrCentralDriver also , sure it didn't fluctuate in power levels but it died on you completely. Both of these issues I've never had xD
2:22 without further ado, I bring to you (Marshall!)
Looks like one of the better ebikes of 2024 IMO, that thing absolutely RIPS!!
you finished the video?
Overheating is common on hub motors atleast this one u can add statoraid
hey dude, love the channel, keep up the good work! do you think you will do a 72v on the motor goat bike? im thinking about doing it over the summer. either way im excited for that bike.
I really like this E bike and would be interested in one.But the company seems unsure of when it will be available
We’re not unsure at all. We sold out the first batch and those are being delivered in August. The ones selling now are November delivery. For everyone that has bought one they have a date for when they are receiving them. It’s tough to tell with demand when we will have stock that can be bought the day you want them. That’s harder to predict with demand
I still think the Ghostcat F2.2 Pro is the best moped bike for the money so far this year.
hey bro you should check out the black warrior Ebike by Walfisk this revival the rev1up and still gives you that higher speeds and it the same price as the rev1up
I'll look into it
The streets around this side are always sketchy with these drivers 😬😂. They roll the stops and run reds here all the time. Sadly I see it every day right by my place too. I thank god every day that I make it home in one piece driving or riding.
Can you push the power goat to its limits also?
The brute is the same price. But a 72 volt and goes over 50
That Brute is a Beast! I like how they over built it so it’ll last. But the idea of going 72V x 30A to get more efficiency and a little more range compared to a 60V x 36A is interesting. I also like how they use interchangeable parts but most ebike companies seem to be going that direction anyhow
MrCentral would you buy it or is there a better buy for $4000
I think I'm a buy one. Not happy with the November date buy it's a cool bike to ride around.
The revv1 fs is really good. The speed is perfect as you do not need any faster then 40mph
I’m thinking goat?!!
Talaria xxx is 3100 rn. Just pulled the trigger on it😤
Controller is ASI BAC 2000.
You are correct I will update this in my next video
Mark are you going to buy the Graffiti X? I know you have the original Graffiti and the Grizzly.
@@TheWelbeckTeam Yes, I purchased it back in January.
Only a few miles into the first ride, yikes 😳
I still prefer the Ristretto 512 over this and now the 6000w Cotton mouth middrive motor.
yes, the same . This week I was deciding between this and ristretto. And I bought A20 Bronze.
But the ristretto is significantly slower too speed isnt it? Also how is the reliability long term of a mid drive motor vs a direct drive motor? Sure the ristretto is probably quicker off the line...they are both really nice, i was thinking about the a20 also but i think this one is the better buy.
@@Ebike_Adventures Ristretto is 45mph but much faster if tweaking and changing the controller yourself, 5000w and being a middrive relying on gear settings which is a big advantage over a hub drive. Longevity, not sure, some that rave about performance and longevity and others have had problems. I do know that they have made improvements so time will tell.
@@Ebike_Adventures I don't think a difference in speed of a few miles makes a value, because what matters is how long he can go at that speed. In any case, the ristretto has an order of magnitude better design and a good motor too. You're right, both bikes are good. And I'm thinking about buying this too. But problems with overheating now worry me. Now my main bike is Coswheel GT20 and I definitely want to have a few others in the collection ( with different motor type)
Bigniu BG-X best ebike out there now! Looks amazing, not a cookie cutter motorcycle style, comfortable as heck, and goes at least 42 mph , that's what I've topped out at, check it out Bigniu BG-X Chopper! And half the price of these type of overrated machines
lol no
this or the brute from sparks cycle works
Can't comment. Brute looks heavy tho
@@MrCentralDriver they weight about the same, I wish you could actually review it. They are in the same price range but with the Brute costing just a couple hundred more, you get a 72v battery amongst other things. It's an interesting competition between these two since without the 10% discount, they cost the same basically.
I purchased the Brute. The bike is definitely heavy but its way over engineered on every part. Real motorcycle shocks, non proprietary parts, real motorcycle grade strut bolts for the swing arm, real motorcycle grade front fork, motorcycle grade brakes, hand made Tapias seat, 5,000 watt motor tuned down to 4,000 watts to ensure long lifespan, 13,000 watt peak. My only gripe is with the ah, however, the company states real suburban performance 4 - 5 hours consistent ride time. Definitely has way more range than their Bandit. I did get the chance to ride the Bandit. Loved the plush suspension. Hated the loud whining motor. Was too sluggish off the line. Suspension and control of the Brute while going 55 mph plus seems to be very stable from the review videos. I don’t work for them or am a brand ambassador, just a fan of the company. Will know if I made the right choice when I receive it. 😅
The Spark Cycle Works Brute is the better buy and this small company stands behind every product they sell 100%. I own 2 Bandit's with dual batteries and these bikes are amazing to ride around NYC without any issues. I wish I knew the Brute was coming before I bought my second Bandit back in November of 2023 because I would've waited to buy the Brute instead.
@@denniebone388 im also favoring the brute but my problem is the battery capacity. 30AH i just too small at this pricepoint. I know theyve had solid result on their battery tests but I think 30AH is just too small at this pricepoint. Idc how ugly it will look but if it's functional, i WISH 60ah or more becomes the norm but of course, at the end of the day, battery and range is one of, if not the main problem with E-bikes. I think at this point, I either just buy a gas bike to just avoid the whole range anxiety as a whole or just spend the same amount of money on an ebike that will have less range and just shut up and accept it.
The error code 24 means the male to female connection from the controller to the Motor is loose, Just need to find where wired connectors meet and insert tightly, After you do this please Do your review again and go hard on it to see if Graffiti X can handle the true test
They said hall sensor
Oh ok... What caused the hall sensor to go out? Hopefully it's something that Lyric fixes, I wouldn't want to be replacing sensors on a regular basis,
This is our hunch, but we’re going to look at the bike and confirm. The bike does put a 24h on the screen when it overheats too, but it would need a specific chain of events to make it overheat because it has thermal protection in the controller, but there’s a way to make the temperature scale up before it can react if the rider pushes it really fast from a stop just after the motor is close to a thermal threshold and then is pushed beyond it quickly.

Mr Central is there a Moped style Ebike that you're impress with?
Im having alot of fun on the lyric Graffiti 2024. Not the X model.
I thought you like speed, That bike will become boring, Give me a better option to look at, Have you Looked at Nx1 R Ebike or the Solar Eclipse ebike?
With the crackdown is bull shit, this is exactly what i meant when i say there's literally no difference between the graffiti x and and eride pro ss, they both have ebike/eco mode which is legal for an e-bike law, but both also have off-road/sport mode which basically let's you go over 40mph. That's not fair that basically because it has pedals or a more beach cruiser style you get to ride "legally" my eride pro is "legal" if this bike is. The crackdown so far has mostly been teens 16 and under getting banned soon. Surrons and erides shouldn't be casted out for a more off-road style
Get pedals on it and you should be fine. Still gotta follow your local ebike laws which here the limit is 28mph. Anything over you can get a ticket or impound depending if a cop wants to be an ass about it or if u were doing stupid things.
@MrCentralDriver I have no issues here in Houston Texas, and the eride pros eco mode does exactly 28mph, but that doesn't take away the illogical fact that pedals really don't matter, it's cosmetic for most, but that's what the law needs to understand. I go 40 you go 40, I go 28 you go 28, I go 10 you go 10, I go 50 you go 50, and 50 is draining and usually too fast.
Only costs the price of a nice electric car!! 😂
Bull lol.
Wow…. You can’t pedal and use the throttle at the same time? Thats not good. I agree - need to peddle to at least look like a bicycle. 😎
You can change it in the advanced settings to make the throttle and pedals work together. Thr way it's setup right now it's separate. Pedaling only allows 20mph class 2. I like pedaling all the way to max speed so I would change it myself
@@MrCentralDriver That’s good to hear. I always peddle my Vintage Electric Roadster as much as possible. 👍
maybe that was the unconnected cable!! 😅
Lol I dunno. I didn't wanna mess with it.
No, the disconnected cable is for the brake light. We purposefully left that off as the brake relay was broken from multiple times shipping the demo bike.
@@lyriccycles by the way, do I need to get a license for this e-bike here in Toronto, On.???
