I live in the US in the medical Mecca of Boston. I struggle with chronic illnesses, and I have a tunneled central line. Some of the hospitals don’t have curos caps. Of course, curos caps help prevent infection, but it’s the vigorous scrubbing of the hubs with friction and waiting for dry time and scrubbing bw each action that really matters - so many medical professionals where I’ve been a patient don’t bother. I had my central line dressing changed, sterile field was broken, aseptic technique poor, and not even 2 weeks later, I ended up admitted to the icu with ARDS and septic shock as a result of a HAI. Thank you for doing your part to keep people like me safe! 💕🌻
I’m sorry you had to go through that experience. I hope you’re doing good Rachel! I try my best to keep dressing changes sterile, usually having an extra set of hands helps when doing dressing changes. And the extra seconds used to scrubbing those ports are really important. Thank you for taking time to comment your experience. This is also a good reminder for nurses like me to make sure to scrub those ports because your lives depend on it. This gave me an idea of the work setting there. Pero ang pinakalove ko, the supplies are complete and you can easily grab them if you need them with a bar code scanner pa. 😉❤🧡
The closet cabinet for stuffs and the sink🤍 like it because you can easily grab anything you need without going to the station anymore. (As long as all basic stuffs are there. Always replenished)😉
I love the ambiance, I think I will love to work in that kind of setting. Kinda complete and ideal. Hope to be a USRN someday. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes yan yung bagong pump! Nag training din kami kanina kung pano yung direcho na sa pump yung settings ng IV infusion from the computer via wifi.👩⚕️🥸😂
Ay bet ng room di mo na kailangan bumalik pa ng nurses station para manghalukay ng med supplies. Well, para nmn makasali Ako sa paraffle ER talaga Yung gusto ko since then nurse Mia .gusto ko Kasi iba ibang cases mahawakan ko araw2 at challenging ng mga scenarios hehehe
