I'm a retired Heli pilot/paramedic and I do have to say, I can understand you even from a beginners point of view without getting lost. I gave up on J. Bardwell as he does not understand that many looking for info are experienced novices but want to get into building as their flying skills improve. I love your teaching method as you reemphasize on important aspects. Ty for all you do!
I've been running iflight succex e mini 35a esc, 6s, emax 2206 1900kv on 5 inch quads for hundreds of flights with no problems. Not one has failed. Thanks for the info. It's nice to learn something.
Just want to put it out there mate, I'm sad to see your esc noise testing isn't getting much views, I find this much more interesting personally than going over what connections go where nearly every video! Additionally I would like to add, I will be going on holiday to Hungary and the rules for flying drones seem pretty darn strict! How do you personally deal with these rules? In my own country I don't really care, but, not being able to speak hungarian I don't think I can save myself if it comes to trouble. Thanks for any advice you can give me! Keep on flying!! Also, what's your opinion on the Hobbywing Xrotor Micro 60A? Only need an ESC for my latest build and that's the one I'm considering!
Wow, this is super useful, thanks a lot. Cleared a lot of things about ESCs. And please please don't abandon ESC test videos, they are extremely useful ABS helped me to choose ESCs. I think they are the only quantative ESC reviews around, all the rest is just talking with no substance. But they aren't easy to find, took me a while to discover. Maybe think how you could rebrand them in a way to better please search engine gods. Maybe call them " review" or something?
Excellent video 👍🏻 I have a question I have a 5 inch quad only takes 20x20 I have flight controller matek F722 mini 32m flash bec 5v2a , I’m trying to building this quad but which 4 in 1 ESC will be good for this my motors are 2308 kv2600 can you please tell me which Esc will be good??? Thank you once again...!!!
Very nice video! It appears like you seem to have covered most of the questions I had when I was getting started with building FPV quads, so I'm sure it will help newer people just getting into the hobby nowadays.
Do larger quads like 7 inch need higher amp rated ESCs or are typical 5 inch quad ESCs fine? I finally blew a 45a ESC in my 5 inch after several months of flying and crashing so I've ordered a 50a ESC. What would anyone reading this recommend for a 7inch quad running 2807 motors?
Hi. I just planing to build 3 inch quad. I planing to use 1408 3650KV motors rated 2 to 4s lipo. I'm want it to use 4s lipo. Can I use 40A esc 3-6S 4in1
Hi it's really nice video to watch and get to know about new stuff thanks u forgot to mention about 20×20 ESC there's M2 Mountaing holes and M3 , thanks
Great video thx! Can you please once and for all tell us if position of capacitor is important? I mean on the FC pads, on the xt60, directly on separate esc pad or where they connect to FC change something? Your video on 5 capacitor testing was “insane”.
You have a lot information,I wish if you can help us to design a course for flight control course as programming or where we can start to learn what is the good books for beginners to learn everything about flight control .Thank you for your precious videos .
Awesome video! I love these informative videos. Also, I would love to see the testing videos again such as ESC noise testing. I am building a Tarot 650mm quad and I was wondering do you recommend a 4 in 1 ESC like the Tmotor 40A with a 10V regulator or should I go with individual ESC's? Thanks.
Great video. Question: do the blheli_32 escs come with bidirectional dshot/rpm filter already to go? Or do you need to flash the firmware on the once you get them? I dont have a computer. Thanks in advance.
Im using the last 65A esc. It's really great but i got it for 60$. 80$ is to much i think.. Also its important to say that there screws holes are paralleled with one phase of each motor. Need to be careful on installing
very sad not seeing any representation of whoop and toothpick boards, seeing as they are the fastest growing segment of FPV. there are tons of builds that use them, 250g 5", 4" LR and freestyle, cinewhoops, brushless tiny whoops etc. I get 500g+ 5inch is still the most popular segment and esc reliability is very hard to get right, but there are still thousands of whoop and toothpick boards in the air, to ignore covering them seems very ignorant. I love your stuff DM, just my 2 cents.
You know I have that Tekko32 F3 20x20 4-in-1 right now. And it doesn't have those little metal squares on top of the mosfets. I purchased it from getfpv so as far as I know it's authentic. And it's a troublesome little bastard. But the same could be said for my flight controller. Because betaflight has deemed it necessary to punish me, by not supporting the flight controller I have (within the same week it arrived to me in the post). Because it has FrSky technology in it. And it doesn't appear to be hurting if our sky because they're not doing anything about getting the problem fixed for me. So it appears that I have to take the brunt of the boycott I guess. Which is a super bunch of bulshit if you ask me. But because I'm running INav on the FC, it (the Tekko32 F3 45a 4-in-1) is being very uncooperative. Definitely have it hooked up correctly (I know this because of multiple checks with a multimeter). But, when I open BlHeli_32 Configurator and try to get a read on the 4-in-1. BlHeli_32 Configurator starts giving me reasons it don't like talkin to my 4-in-1. I'm starting to get really highly frustrated with both of these fucking boards.
What is an esc? It’s said it’s a “beginners guide” for learners but I did get lost fairly early. “Just go ahead a grab it” grab what? Do you appreciate that many of us who love this hobby are on a limited budget 30x30? What does that mean? Heat dissipation ? fence or fry? Hi-load setup? 230 kv what does that mean? “Important you know this stuff” - what stuff? Your explanation is poor Voltage spike? Input power? Filter? This is not a beginners video! It’s far too complicated I understand very little You use a lot of words but very little is for beginners

I second that

Same here; the ESC noise testing was by far my favourite content. You can’t find that information anywhere else on the internet.

Great video! Finally found a creator that goes into detail 👌

I miss the noise tests. Used to watch all of them
I was actually looking for a noise test
hi I am new to this thingy.. I have a super dumb question.. when it is rated 50A does it means 50 amp in total or 50amp x 4 channel ?

I loved your noise tests for the escs. But I still fly single escs in 2020.
Does ESC BLHELI_S work with FC BLHELI_32 ???

Nice, something to consider for the next build
Is the mamba f50 a blheli s or 32 esc I want to try bidirectional D-Shot on betaflight 4.2

What's a good job budget esc??
With DJI will you notice a difference adding caps like you do with analog?
Why only BlHeli? There's also KISS & Fettec.

He talks as fast as my Math Teacher writes with one hand and clears it with the other :D Like it not waisting time
Is it possible to stack a 20*20 ESC with 30*30 FC in a Martian 2 Frame?
Love it a new beer keep making videos
Great video. Question: do the blheli_32 escs come with bidirectional dshot/rpm filter already to go? Or do you need to flash the firmware on the once you get them? I dont have a computer. Thanks in advance.
My Hobbywing 60A needed to be flashed with the new firmware.
@@PurpleShift is this the Xrotor Micro 60A? If so I would be interested in how it's treated you, I'm looking to get one myself!
@@junglistfpv8553 The 20*20 Hobbywing ESC is 40A the 30*30 is 60A! I was wondering if they both would perform great
Great video thank u so i was a little wrong shossing my esc lol 😆
I have a ( frog ) how can I make it into a beast what is your recommendation or do you have a video on it thank you for your time
Transtec frog video. Check it out on his channel.
