    Good video; it is a turn to the LEFT not right and as you say, anti-clockwise for the pressure relief on the cylinder. cheers.

    What happens if no water comes through the tundish when I turn the pressure release valve? Lots ob bubbling sounds as well.

    A lot bloody better explanation than the Rolf Harris impersonator.

    The only problem I found with the video is that you advise to open the temperature and pressure valve anticlockwise to the right. Anticlockwise is to the left!!! Does it make a difference. What if I have no tun dish?

    This was really helpful. Saved me remaining without water for couple of day

    When fitted to ground floor or in an apartment without a 'down stairs' this method doesn't work consistently. Shouldn't the advise be to drain from the bottom stop-cock drain on the tank either into the shower tray via a hose, or have it plumbed into drainage that the bath and sink drains into?

    Thank you for the video. I have to repeat this every month on my Megaflo if I want to prevent water dripping into the tundris.

    What would cause the water pressure to drop in a mega flow system PLEASE

    Thanks . Great video . Could I know the normal range of pressure (bar) of the cylinder ? Do I need to maintain a suitable range of pressure after discharge ?

    My megaflo tank leaked through the immersion heater. I called out a plumber and he replaced the immersion heater and serviced the tank. He said this had happened beecause the air pocket had disappeared. My question is, why wasn't the excess pressure released through the safety valve and out through the tun dish? This is a bit worrying.

    "Rotate that valve to the right, anti-clockwise." You must have some very odd clocks. I think you meant LEFT. ;-)😁

    Great video. I have one of these tanks but started to make noise whenever I use the hot water? what do I need to do? change the ballcock valve (if it has one) or is to do with pressure

    Wat about if the prv start leaking afterwards. As because of scale in hard water area prv leaks if u turn and let the water out

    Hello. I like your videos. They easy to understand. Thank you. I have subscribed to your channel. I have a megaflo water tank. I tried to open the drain cock. The water that is coming out is black. Is that normal from the tank or is that coming from the radiators as the water in there is also black. Thank you

  • @pedropgusmao
    @pedropgusmao หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is it normal that it will make a lot of noise for over 30 minutes and the tube sounds like they are full of air?

    Great BUT....
    Why does the bubble deplete in the first place. Mine needs doing pretty well every month. I've never got a satisfactory explanation from Baxi when I've asked. They give variety of explanations but thet never manage to explain why air travels down through water and out through hot taps. They've cancelled any thought of air dissolving in the water but I'm not convinced it cannot happen. I'm going to fit an expansion tank and get rid of the issue for good.
    Megaflo is a great idea on paper but if the bubble cannot be relied upon to stay in place it's a non-starter...unless you're a plumber. Plenty of call-outs ensue and any detractors are told explanations that defy simple physics!

    When I go to open the pressure release valve after doing all the steps before it doesn't open but instead clicks when I turn it. But if I just turn the pressure valve without turning off the cold water supply then it does release the pressure. What's happening here?

    Hi Rob. My Megaflo is on the first floor and I isolated the cold water but when I open the lowest hot water tap on the ground floor hardly any water flows out at all. When I open the pressure relief valve nothing happens at the tundish. Any suggestions please?

    I'm still getting water dripping in tundish, despite replacing TPR valve and draining tank to restore air gap. Any advice? The tank is c. 16 years old. Could the internal air gap just be kaput and I need to install a separate expansion vessel? Thanks!

  • @harrythehikerne

    The strangest thing about doing this, is that immediately after turning the mains cold water back on, and water starting to come out of the lowest hot tap, it was red hot. That’s with the boiler turned off and not yet having had a chance to heat the new cold water in the tank. Any plumbers that can explain that? The hot water hasn’t been on for 4 hours.

    • @splodders
      @splodders ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re only draining a small amount of hot water from the cylinder.

    could a clogged & dirty mesh filter / strainer in the combination valve cause the water pressure to drop at my taps & shower???
    ive noticed the pressure drop for a week now & have checked all isolation valves are still fully open - so im wondering if i should now check the mesh strainer in the combination valve.
    i still have the old style heatrae sadia megaflo combination valve (15 years old) with 4 allen bolts!!!
    i think it may be time to change it for the new style of combination valve.
    any advice please???
