I just found out that I am still registered to vote in Knysna, my previous home. I know have lived in Johannesburg for years. I registered online last year and changed my address on the DA site. So now I am unable to vote due to some glitch with the DA voters registration service on their website. I am super frustrated about this. As usual I put in the time and did what I was suppose to do and yet even that seems to mean nothing!

The DA should make it clear that they will not go in coalition with the ANC.
That is one of the points of agreement, signed by all Multi Partie Coalition if I understood it correctly.
They will most likely, though. ANC - 39% and DA 20-23%. Only parties can save SA now is ActionSA or Rise Mzanzi.
Better hope ActionSA gets 10%+, they only one in the MPC that can take ANC voters and Herman said he'll never join ANC. IFP in trouble In KZN with MK.
So it's either MK+ANC or EFF+ANC or DA+ANC.
MPC rules only apply if they get 50+1, if not the DA are free to join ANC.

lol, what nobody seems to get is that South Africa is one of the best countries to live in at the moment, by almost all metrics, which means that the ANC is doing a good job with what we have, I am a well travelled and informed 32 year old, I’ve been west north and east , this country is Top notch, good luck going almost anywhere in the world and finding better, remember, it’s not the government that creates jobs, before you use that as an excuse, it’s private individuals that create jobs by starting companies. And the government has made that very easy, it can’t be any easier, I’m not a political person at all, I’ve only voted once before.

In a DA run Tshwane Municipality, I've been sending emails for streetlights that have been off for over a year, and I pay my municipal bill every month, never skipped it, despite financial hardships.
But you go to certain predominantly white suburban areas and find all street lights working. It's a no brainer!! Thanks but no thanks DA..

The DA's top leadership, that is in the lime light, comes across as pretty arrogant and average; even hypocritical at times, like the rest of them. Sometimes coming up with the most retarded, crinch-worthy and baseless arguments in parliament; but the people they employ to get the work done on Provincial and Metropolitan level are pretty spectacular.
I certainly do NOT vote for John Steenhuizen... He can be pretty lame and baseless sometimes; and most certainly is NOT presidential material. But I do vote for the only Party who has proven that they CAN turn things around for the better. Hence, DA it is!
They just need a leader with REAL Stature & common sense! Such a pity that a guy like Tony Leon left the DP back in the day...

The DA was never the NP - the NP became the NNP after apartheid and formed an alliance with the ANC. after which it subsequently lost out on supporters and was dissolved.

To be honest I never really cared about elections but I have to ask how the DA could pay for this ad, I mean this shit is expensive and last time I saw some Ads with things not concerning funding for you human lives was from when I tried to get Pro-Israel views on the actual events that was happening in Gaza.
In the same manner I was "casually" invited on multiple platforms to get news that comes only from Israel which would of skewered objectivity considering those who watched those videos were already "pro-Israel" and I understand that you have to have a funding base for such operation.
In the above considerations I question the DA on ad funds because without recognition of this event it seems we will fail to recognize that there seems to an invested corporate interest in the DA which doesn't necessary involve the interest of the collective of the country.
So here is my viewpoint as address, if the ANC is corrupt but still cannot pay for their own campaign posters what does that make the DA? Where is their funding coming from and why are limiting ourselves to a 2 party state when we should explore more options which doesn't have controversial leadership "black wash" campaigns. Also note the DA has a platform of "we aren't the ANC" instead of anything concrete.

Yes there are some elements of the old NP (the more moderate ones) but if you look closer the DA is the descendants of those who more likely voted PFP/Smit’s United Party etc. So technically not the old NP. Afriforum/Freedom Front Plus are closer to the old NP in terms of rhetoric and beliefs.
