My dad has been an owner operator for years now he is retiring and thinking of selling his equipment: truck and a dry van trailer. I have been thinking of taking over his company or work under my own authority using his truck and trailer. I graduated this year with a degree in IT but the job market is tough and I haven’t been able to get my career rolling but I am hungry to make money so trucking is tempting 🤔
You should most definitely have someone else drive your truck and just pay driver a salary then get second truck and do the same. Financially freedom! ROI bby!
@@strictlyhardrap1688I’m not hating but he’s not making any money off TH-cam if that’s what you’re implying most of his income is from his businesses. Yeah he makes some money but like I said it’s mostly from his business.
j Vetum, joined a trade and im making good money but i keep coming back here cause i really want to join the trucking industry! i got two tickets do you think thatll slow me down a bit?
I got my cdl in June and now I have 3 months of hazmat experience and 15k saved up. Im looking to put that money down on a day cab and finance the rest. Any idea how much I’ll get charged for insurance?
I would never offer anyone to lease on with me. Never allow people to use your DOT permits they will put you out of business. I've seen lots of people lose their business cause they allowed others to lease on for a profit.
People who says he's making money ask him to show you what he has that's his PAID FOR. Not what he has on credit or he owes. Anybody can buy and show off what he supposedly has but it's on credit. No show me what you have and it's paid for. Lol

@@ritchierich565So how much profit is he gonna make off that 1 truck and where is he gonna run that truck and where is he gonna get the freight?
@@ritchierich565easier said than done lol. It's funny how people with no knowledge on the trucking market think like this...
@@Bryan-497true but definitely possible without a doubt
