It is sad we don't have more Black Metal in America. This feels like the most living and vibrant form of rock to really be out at the moment and sadly you never really see it the same over here. All based on Traditional folk music and classical and shit too which I love.
We really don't have folk music or classical music steeped in the traditions of centuries of conflict and peace like Europe because America is still young. I have noticed that the best black metal bands in America come from the midwest and that's due to German and Scandinavian ancestry (in my opinion). They had grandparents listening to Polka and probably grew up with the legends of their homelands.
