My suggestion about the clippers is to let him watch daddy get his hair cut with them. Put a long guard on and"shave" the back of his head and let Kailand watch, maybe even pretend to do it to Maddox and show Kailand how brave even the baby was. Let him touch the clippers while they are on and feel the vibrating, do it yourself first and show him that it tickles, even put your hand on the guard when they are on to show it doesn't hurt. It also looks like it's the noise of them that got him going, so maybe turn the computer up real loud or give him some earbuds so he doesn't hear em coming. I'm not even beyond bribes to get it done, it was a huge struggle in my house lol.

Something that helps the kiddos that I nanny not fuss during haircuts, is to call the clippers a " bulldozer". Since he loves trucks, maybe he will view the clippers differently if it has that name. When it's Time to get a haircut say, "It's time to bulldozer your hair!" I know it sounds silly, but it works! Maybe it will work with y'alls little man too 😃.

LOL I remember little Freddie getting his first hair cut! OMG it was so funny he was so scared because the sound of the clippers LOL but fast forward years later he loves getting his hair cut he says it tickles LOL -Davis Family
You should play Kailand videos of people getting their hair cut, and let him hold the clippers in his hands so he starts to familiarise himself with them. I'm sure there are video's and cartoon videos on youtube of kids getting their hair cut. Good luck for the next time round! :) x

Typically I just duct tape a two year old to the wall and cut his/her hair. It's not a traumatic experience for them at all! 😜 Haha!

I used to use a beard trimmer for my son because a regular hair clipper was just to big and noisy and scared him, but the beard trimmer is smaller and quieter and makes haircuts so much easier.

you try to give him a haircut when he's asleep. or you could make the clippers look a truck. the sharp part would be the bucket thing that picks up stuff. you could paint it and glue little wheels on it so he thinks it's just a truck touching his hair. I'm sure there is a diy or you could probably buy it

My mom is a hairdresser she typically takes the blades out and just let the children feel it and get to know the feel without the danger of the blade

They have a book and a little boy baby doll . With many play clippers and he can play with it while he gets his haircut. it definitely helped to my little cousin who was so terrified it.

Maddox is going to be Kailand 2.0 when it comes to eating.
My parents would cut my brother's hair when he was sleeping. A little underhanded and I am not sure how appropriate or safe that was. As he got older, a favorite toy or snack was used as an incentive. You may want to try taking him to barbershop when Austin get his own hair cut. Maybe that would help him get use to the buzzing sound and knowing that Austin (dad) survived the clippers.

for my son's first haircut he was crying and very afraid. that was until he was given a spray bottle of water and drenched my mom while his hair was cut. funny distraction helped a lot. also helped letting him feel the "tickle" of clippers.
