Never knew how badly I needed Russell Mael singing “Michael” in my life until I got it. Something about his voice fits this song so perfectly. And Alex Kapranos sounds good on “No. 1 Song In Heaven” too.
The album may not have been warmly embraced by the public, but it's still one of my all time favorites. Too bad Alex blew the Maels off once again. Did they creep him out, or is Alex just fickle?

When Sparks sing "When do I get to sing 'My Way'", they often introduce it with a part of "My Way". I guess that they put "My Way" has to do with legal causes as much as a tribute to Sinatra.
I love this collaboration so much I want to see a live band again, and seeing the crowd do exactly what we did 30 years ago is mental, but please destroy the BieberDirection shite of today as much as 70s disco, and Osmond or Rollermania shite was challenged, inspiring punk and new wave, plus together with FFs baritone the Sparks falsetto works even better. God how they play it!

So happy 'Sparks' has a documentary coming out in 2021! They should have been HUGE. Such masters of their craft!
