    I think I will just call you the Strawberry Queen. After I saw two of your videos about strawberries, I am going to definitely plant an entire bed of strawberries. Thank you so much for your knowledge and beautifully made videos. I can tell just by the tone of your voice how passionate you are and how serious you are about planting and caring for the strawberries. I am so glad I ran into your video! You earned my subscription.

    I did fertilize in early spring with Espoma for acid loving plants and they look the best they ever have. When you have a hot sandy area they need that leaf cover and the blossoms are many. Keep even moisture while berries are producing, but not saturated as the flavor will be poor as with any garden plants except maybe celery as it’s a bog plant.

      Go to my channel and find the video on testing soil pH. You can use RapiTest at home soil tests to get a general idea of soil NPK nutrients or you can send soil samples to a lab like RX soil

    What is the difference between the worm castings and worm casting tea? And did you mention another worm casting supplement? Can you just use the worm castings and the Neptune fertilizer? We are getting ready to plant strawberries for the first time, I'm excited! We got two types of plants, a June bearing called All-star and an everbearing called Ever sweet. We're trying to decide how to plant them, whether in some type of raised beds or just mounds or hills and mulch them. I have a question about that. Is there a reason why you don't plant them on mounds or hills like a lot of people do? Just trying to weigh the pros and cons of all the ways to plant.
    Also, thank you so much for all your informative videos and tips! This is the 3rd strawberry video of yours I've watched, and have now subscribed. 😊

      Hey there! Thanks for subscribing! The worm castings and worm castings tea are pretty much the same just different application types. The other product is vitality (only at Vermisterra) that is super concentrated and is best for things that need an extra dose of nutrition. I use it sparingly.
      Both methods for planting strawberries work. In a raised bed, the way I laid them out is easiest.
      Hope this helps! Happy gardening!

If not, all the strawberries she was holding in her hands are not from the bed. We need to have critical eyes and thinking skill to know which gardening channel is real. At 8:10 again, it looks to me that there's no strawberries from her bed.

    I’m confused do you foliar feed the Neptune’s harvest or do you water with it? You show clip of putting it in watering can but then said to foliar feed. Thanks

    • @OurSanctuaryGarden
      @OurSanctuaryGarden  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do both. I foliar feed by watering the leaves with the watering can then I also water at the root zone

    Just curious, is the neptune's harvest similar to alaska fish fertilizer?

    • @OurSanctuaryGarden
      @OurSanctuaryGarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are both made with fish but they have different nutrient ratios. Alaska is 5-1-1 and Neptunes is 2-3-1. You can certainly try the Alaska one and see how they do

    hi sanctuary gardens 🤗
    you upload the best strawberry videos.
    i recently transplanted three 2yr old strawberry plants from a raised bed into a 15gal planter pot.
    i think theyre doing ok but i want to wait before adding soil treatments (to make sure they really "made it").
    i don't have instagram, but i would like to try the worm casting products. ill check your description box for details. tfs

    • @OurSanctuaryGarden
      @OurSanctuaryGarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m glad you find my videos helpful! 😊 I think you’re fine to wait on adding soil amendments since the potting mix you put them in is fresh. Just remember that potted plants require nutrient applications more frequently due to how fast they drain and leach

    Where is the info on how to test the NPK of your soil ?

    • @OurSanctuaryGarden
      @OurSanctuaryGarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      I should have info in the video description but here’s what you can do: get RapiTest at home soil tests. They have very detailed instructions so I won’t go into details about how to do it but that’s an easy way to know if your deficient in anything. It’s not super accurate but can get you started in the right direction. You can also send soil samples to a lab for more detailed reports. I used RX Soil with good results.
