I don't remember the name of it, but if you search on amazon for package scales.. They're fairly cheap around 30 to $40... And they go up to 440 lbs That's why I couldn't get an accurate reading on my copper toter.
I just look at it and think of a price that I think that they will pay.. lol.. Actually, how I figure it out is by the amount of garbage i'm removing. My minimum is a 150 bucks. It's 400 for a pickup truck. Load 10 yd dumpster Under a ton is 650 So that's labor and dump fee. And you can have labor as well, depending on how easy the stuff is to load up.. My helper gets 20 bucks an hour. And I bill myself out at 125 a hour
Who knows.. Most of the companies stopped using it about forty years ago or more.. Doesn't mean that some of these old units can't have some in it.. Trust me, it's no worse than anything else you're gonna ingest. Inhale or be exposed to when doing anything, mechanical or construction.
Yeah, the guy was supposed to be filling it with scrap metal. But the machine broke and it's taking him forever.. Which is not my problem? Because I really need it back. This is why I didn't Want to do it this way..
Loving the videos Mike, I’m in maryland and it’s crazy seeing the prices you get for stuff. Any tips on how to get into scrapping for all these places? I got three small shops I go to now but nothing on the scale you got!
@@southernmarylandscrappers Do the only thing I can tell you is talk to everyone. It took me a lot of years to get where I am but now i'm known as the scrap guy in my area and I come highly recommended by everybody..
