Can you help me troubleshoot my 91? I got it a few weeks ago and have been fixing all the flaws ever since. Theres only a few left, however this one has me most confused. The gas gauge part of the lcd does not display anything. It shows empty and there is a “reserve” light on the dash, even though the car is full. I changed the polarizer and swapped out some bulbs but I still do not have any gas. I pulled the fuel sending unit out of the tank and cleaned the float lever/assembly as ive seen owners say it gets dirty internally but i still dont have any gas gauge. I tilted the float by hand and still nothing. Car still thinks its empty.
Do you have customers with the later c4 dash that mention having this problem??? Everytime i see others having gas gauge issues their car shows always full.
Do you see the bars for fuel when you turn the key on? They should all light for 2 secs. If not there’s an LCD problem. If so, the instrument panel is fine and the sender or sender wiring is faulty.
Batee Corvette Electronics update: the bars do appear for 2 seconds when i first turn on the key. I just ordered a stainless steal fuel sending unit. And if this doesnt fix it, what would you recommend next?
You seem like the right guy to ask. If you have a analouge cluster, is it possible to make a digital dash with the parts and sensors you already have? I am not talking about swapping, I talk about building one from scratch using as much as possible of the original setup.
Can I get the number to call your company, and set up a rebuild of my 86 dash?? Then after that I can install it and send you my back up dash for rebuild.
Thanks again, rebuilt my cluster with new film today and this came in handy!
Just watched all the videos great job!! You really did a awesome job explaining things I will be ordering your Parts soon. Thanks
Love this guy, VERY knowledgeable

Thanks for the videos. I recently got a 1987 Corvette. How much would it cost to get my cluster repaired? Pretty much a complete overhaul.
