A ground down cheap 8 mm socket will do the trick on those carb nuts but those after market carb are a gamble as I found that 1 out of 3 will work fine, 1 will work half decent and the last one, you will never be able to tune correctly. Better bite the bullet and get ripped off by Stihl ... at least you'll save on frustration. Regards
Do yourself a BIG favor, and buy a Milwaukee M4 1/4" Hex Screwdriver Kit, Mfr #: 2101-21. "Featuring 44 in-lbs of peak torque and a 21-position clutch with auto shut-off, the new screwdriver offers improved torque control during repetitive applications." Makes a great Christmas or birthday gift. A little pricey, but WELL worth it! You'll wish you'd purchased one years ago. Poor, young guys watching, will think it's extravagant, but it should be one of your first tool purchases. Anyway, thanks for posting this. Struggling with a hard to start BG86. I have one of these carb kits due tomorrow. A new carb, gaskets, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter, primer bulbs, fuel lines and tank grommets, all for $17 shipped! How the hell does anybody make money on this stuff?
Dave Ackerman 1967 I just have to get used to it. Its like anything else the more you do it the easier it will be for me to apply its usage. Hey, I'm uploading vids tonight. Stay tuned for the 1 handed fuel line install. 😱🤔
INSIDE HOUSE GARAGE Im not really sure yet. I am thinking about rugging up something for doing overhead videoing. Guys like you and Bruce Pender do a much better job than me but I study your angles and such so I'm learning as I go.
Thanks for your invaluable input on this and all your other videos. New carburettor installed and runs like new, thanks to you. 😀
Happy to help Colin. Stay safe.😷👍🍺

They are really T27 torx bolts/screws. A T25 will work as sometimes the T27 doesnt show up in the bit kit. Sorry for misleading you on the size.
Great help!
Was "Zama" anywhere to be found on the carb or packaging? If not, I'm thinkin' it's an aftermarket. From where did you order?
Was that the hydrolocked blower?
I'm not sure Jack. It's a very popular model and I have serviced a bunch of them. Sorry.
Awesome video.... Are you liking the tripod I think it definitely made for a better video..... Not to much you can do about the hands being in the way

Great video and those are great blowers. Tripods are an awesome investment. Do you plan on anymore video equipment in the future?
