    Damn... Lawrence, Cokanasiga, Lynagh, Ojomoh, Smith and Stuart all having great games. I refuse to believe it's all doom and gloom for English rugby.

    • @Treefellow1
      @Treefellow1 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As a Saffer, I do believe England need a truly great coach to bring out the best in them.. Johann Ackerman could do it, not sure if he would want to.. but there must be someone who can pull it all together for England!

      It’s all doom and gloom knowing that Borthwick won’t pick them and even if he does he’ll just make them kick and chase kicks all game

    • @joeboonmusic4004
      @joeboonmusic4004 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@Danimal13 I don't know, I think Borthwick has already got a better track record of picking players on form than EJ. I mean we now know that players like Lawrence, Chessum, Arundell, Willis etc are going to get starts. I don't think it's fair to judge him on what few games he's had in charge, the man deserves time!

    • @Danimal13
      @Danimal13 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@joeboonmusic4004 yeah he’s picked them but he’s not playing to their strengths, Borthwick really confuses me for instance we all know Smith needs a ball carrying 12 so the first game he plays Farrell at 12 and drops Manu then drops Smith then the next game picks a ball carrying 12 in Lawrence with Farrell then when Smith and Lawrence do get a game together he makes JVP kick everything away and not give Smith a chance to run the attack, Borthwick seems to not learn a single thing and is far too focused on putting out a side to counter the opposition instead of playing their own rugby, it’s Eddie Jones all over again

    • @Simwil33
      @Simwil33 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The doom and gloom comes from the fact that England can/might select a player and then if that player succeeds and shines the French clubs come looking. That player moves and England are back to square one.
      It's already begun, Joe Marchant and Dave Ribbans are gone. Any future talent will get swept up. I bet Alex Mitchell is one season away from going to France.

    Hell of a match. Great seeing Bath back at it.
    Marcus Smith at 1:08? Not sure what constitutes a penalty for a croc-roll besides causing an injury

    • @jakeclough8090
      @jakeclough8090 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because that’s not a croc roll 😂 a croc roll is where they move the player or themselves to the side and where you see those horrible leg breaks. Smith pulls him straight over the ruck, not the best method admittedly but not dangerous and not a croc roll

    Disappointing from a Quins point of view. It seems that recently, the only players that look like they are giving their all are Marchant, Murley, Smith and Dombrant. Getting nearly 50 points put on us by any team at Twickenham is not acceptable, credit to Bath.
