i bought as a 18 year old fiat punto mk2 2001 1.2 16v 80ks and its been amazing for my first car i upgraded speakers put custom bluetooth radio and its perfect city car and for long travels cheap low fuel consumption 6 liters sometimes its 5.7 etc never broke down never got problem for first car i recommend this beast
my mechanic said motoricaly punto never will break down because its such a simple vehicle there is almost nothing to break down, the only problem i have is the electronics, mainly in winter but otherwise a perfect little car
@@testdrivehero though they were very careful with Fiat Coupe electronics to be perfect, and i wish fiat would remake the mini ferrari because it looks awesome and the 2l 5 cilinder turbo engine put many bigger brands to shame
we have a near 24 year old one, bought new, Feb 2000, 4-door, 1.2 16V HLX. Still runs like a dream after 230,000kms. Only wear parts changed, and a couple of rust spots fixed.
i have it on the house at the sea. It had some problems like powersteering and battery gone last year, and in 2021 we changed the head because on a roundabout it stopped and when it restarted later had the temperature to the stars. We after found out that a water tube was punctured. Those problems probably are because the car is used 3 weeks and then is abandoned for 11 months. But despite everything i love that car i would never give it away
I want to say that aside from being enjoyable to POV driving video enthusiasts, this video is also very useful for anyone that is considering buying a Punto but has still not driven one. One can get a bit more idea what' the car like.
I had one in black. Stuck a KN intake filter and Remus exhaust. That little pony went to 190KMH so fast it made some more powerful car owners jaw drop in disbelief.
All i want to say is that this car is an amazing little worker. No problems no a lot of gas consumption just a perfect first car for me. Unfortunately 1 month ago it got totaled by a sleepy driver...
i only have a 1.2 8v punto mk.2 (after facelift), the litthe thing is 19.20 years old, little rust and electronics dont like winter but otherwise no problem at all recently i found the manual for it and i am amazed what a car it was back when it was introduced, my main goal with my punto is upgrade it to the fully, or close to fully equipped variant, it deserve it
IN 2000 I BUY ONE RED THREE DOORS . GOOD IN CITY TRAFFIC , WEEL ENGINE ACORDING IS CLASS NOT A FERRARI , THE consumption WERE 7.1 l and i drive on higway . THE CITY FUNCTION GREAT ON PARKING .OVER 80 KLMS THE CITY TURN OFF WERE AUTOMIC OFF, BUT DRIVE TURN ON OR OFF . SO A GREAT CAR TO THE CITY AND ALSO COULD MAKE A GOOD TRIP ON HIGWAY .

Surprising car, i have this 1,2 ELX with CVT Speedgear.. I love it. It is 21 years old and still run,run,run..
If I'm honest, the test drive was better than expected!

That's exactly the way I want on this project.
Both sides (car guys and non-car guys) enjoying the test drives.

Hey!
What about Vw Golf V 2.0 TDI from 2006?
Even a 1.9 TDI 105hp.
@@testdrivehero she doesn't like golf V she say this car like a bug do you have another idea bro ?🙂
You have many options, Mini CooperD, BMW 118D first gen, Honda Civic 2.2 Icdti,... all around 2006-2010.
Depends of her tastes :)
Maybe a VW Polo 1.2 TDI from 2012?
Or a Ford Fiesta with a 1.6 TDCi from also 2012?
