The only reason the smaller faction was able to remain standing for as long as it has was because of a single unit. That unit was comprised of a single Reploid: the one they called Zero. Zero was a Reploid who was born and raised in the art of war. A Reploid from the original Maverick Wars; the one who fought side-by-side with, and at one point a stalemate against, the Legendary Megaman X. With the use of his Z-Saber, gifted to him by an unknown source, and a Buster Gun provided by his allies, Zero cleaved and blasted his way through hundreds of thousands of corrupted Reploids. But standing before him... amidst all the chaos, was... another Zero...? The fighters of the smaller factions were dumbfounded but terrified. No... this was not just another Zero... our hero knew that this Reploid was completely different, but in a way, just the same as him. Despite the chaos erupting above ground, the two stood eye to eye, unfazed by the rumbling of the bunker. Just then, a hologram appeared, explaining that this “new” Zero was no ordinary Reploid. It was Zero’s original body, repaired and given new life. Under the control of an evil scientist, this Original Body, dubbed “Omega,” was repaired to help carry out its original purpose: to destroy. No discriminations, no exceptions. Our Hero stood in shock and confusion. All that he has fought for in the past... all that he fights for now... was it all wrong? Was he fighting not for those he cared for... but instead for the sake of destroying all that stood before him...? No... Well it was Zero's original body built by Dr. Willy from a meteorite from outer space. Something was going to go nuts. But the Megaman series has taught us that only the soul matters.
If I had to name a single issue with this piece, is that the crescendo at 2:20 was used too early. If there was another bit of strings or some other "light" instruments, then the finale at 3:45 would be a perfect conclusion of the music. Regardless, this is probably one of my favorite renditions of Cannon Ball. I love how original it goes.
I'd probably name it... "OF MAN AND MACHINE" Because Zero isn't a machine he's a hero and knows justice so no matter how hard omega tried he could never take what truly made Zero a man instead of a war machine that runs on blood and that's the heart of a hero and a humans sense of justice.
I always see it like Zero accepting his past and taking a step into the future, for the future. Basically, "I don't know what will happen, and I don't care. It's time to take a leap into the unknown! Geronimo! Cannonball!
@@theinsanegamer1024 Cannonball gets its name from a Japanese proverb(?) about how once a canonball is fired, it's impossible to change its trajectory, which fits Omega, who once unleashed upon the world, is dead set on causing destruction.
i wish this title "Cannon ball" into "The Final Destiny Battle Between Fake and Original" (thats too long :v) or "The Ultimate Battle Against The God of Destruction"
