Lovely. Glad to see you two are off on a bigger adventure over the next couple of years. Looking forward to watching along. I miss you both. Lots of love, Todd. ❤
TH-cam just put your last video on my dashboard about a week ago. I've been following Toyota World Runners for a few months now and was wondering if you knew them. BC is big, but a small community. So, of course you do! You guys are going to rock on your next journey, and I look forward to watching it unfold.
Radical! Yeah, our home base is a neighbouring island to Vancouver island. We’re super stoked to get going. Thanks for choosing to follow along with us!
Heck yeah it is, I’m getting myself set up to travel Baja because of you guys. Haha. I’ve always wanted to but it’s just been a dream, well I’m getting things set up to make it it happen.
Well done guys! Glad to be part of the viewing audience for your journey, and to garner some great learnings and inspirations from your experiences. All the best!
I've been following @ToyotaWorldRunners since they started their trip. I've been following you since you hung out with them in Baja. SUPER EXCITED for your trip!!! I'm so excited to follow your journey!
Aww, shoot! Thats amazing! Thank you so much for following along. We became instant fast friends with Matt & Stacey during that short stay together in Baja. They’re as golden as they show in their videos, REAL people. We love them. We’re both so excited to share our experience with everyone, I’m sure we won’t disappoint.😊
Awesome video and SO excited for you guys! Keep on enjoying the good times and travels together. We appreciate your hard work on the channels and you guys are just easy and fun to watch!! Stay stoked and keep on Roamin' you two! PS. A four wheel camper on an 06 f350 flatbed has been a pretty nice 4 season setup for us. I'm sure whatever you guys decide to go with will be what's best for you.
Hi Guys, I’m a New subscriber but love it , I’ll be following you all way on your new journey. Loved the BC trip I have relatives in Kamloops beautiful scenery. Guy’s thank you for sharing, Enjoy and be Safe. Punch👍
Congratulations. I think your planning will pay off. We are in Colombia in our Promaster and if we can do it, two retired folks with a dog, front wheel drive and low ground clearance you will be fine. There’s lots more to see than dirt roads and large mountains.
Congratulations on 10K that's awesome!! Looking forward to seeing your take on the Pan Am. Not sure how your Spanish is but if you can get to conversational it will really, really help with the enjoyment of the trip. 🙂🙂
Nice to get to know you guys better! I really enjoyed and got a lot out of your van build! Following your journey and look forward to your Pan American trip!! 👍🤙✌
I found your channel by accident and am glad that I did (actually I think it was your "Stuck and alone" video). I am an old guy that is probably too far gone to do what you guys are doing, but I will gladly live vicariously through you and follow you to the end of the earth.......or Ushuaia Argentina, and then to your next adventure. I am a proud Vancouverite also and find it interesting that the You Tubers that I seem to enjoy the most are from this area or Canada in the least. Foresty Forest of course and others like Dustin from Destination Adventure, Joseph from Sharing the Wild, and even Chrome from Vancity Vanlife. My token American is Tristan from SUV Rving. I also have a senior citizen to keep me company in Slim Potatohead. Keep up your great videos and know that I am looking forward to each and every one of them. If you find yourselves straying from the official PanAm Highway and decide to travel down Hwy 97 through the Okanagan I would be honoured to offer you a place to do your laundry. Take care and drive safe
Glad you found us Al, thanks for watching and following along. The Pan Am highway is something we’ve been waiting excited for for a long time, and we’ve got some really cool ideas for afterwards as well. If we come down the 97 I’ll try to keep that in mind! Thank you!
@@SlowRoamers could be the fuel pump for sure but those spiders can get pretty clogged, would explain your poor fuel economy too. Mine was chugging fuel before doing them. Mine were the older poppet valves though and it was burning very rich. Be worth running some seafoam through it first though! Love that stuff
CONGRATS! On reaching 10,000, that is a great accomplishment!! I will admit that I have never watched a Q&A, but yours was very interesting! Love the info about your van, reasons why you chose to use things and the fact that what you do is based more on skill than gender. ( a woman bike shop owner here..ha!) I have the same model of van that you do, so what you spoke about is exactly the same things that my former owner mentioned to me. He always said" Chevy from 2004-2013 uses basically all the same parts if the engine size is the same. I've learned that it seems Ford changes things more quickly in their vans, but because Chevy doesn't... it's easier to find parts. Although I will say the original paint job is awful. On another note, I'm excited to hear about your new plans, and will definitely be tagging along for that. As always, thanks for sharing!
You own a bike shop! So rad! My brother and sister in law will want to be your best friend.🤣 The Express platform is quite versatile. You’re right about ford ranging their equipment a fair amount, I’ve heard some frustration from mechanic friends when dealing with Econoline. Glad you enjoyed the video and that it was entertaining and informational. It’s nice to know people value what we have to say. 😊 Thanks for watching, Jackie!
Try to the World ( Europe, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia) with your van without shipping? Change the USA License plate to the Europe License Plate.
9K lbs - that is kind of Porky🐷 WRT the height of the vehicle - you might want to qualify that because building the van out will of course lower it. My 8k lbs Transit van squated 3" in the back & 1.75" up front. Soooo after having lifted the van 3.5 & 2" it is "NOW" at STOCK height as it sat when it was New and EMPTY... I had a Truck Camper & HATTED it - I love my Transit van. (Van 9/10 - TC 2/10 - my aspirational Troopy 10/10) Having the abilty to access the back from the front seats is clutch. & that small @$$ door sucks as opposed to the big side van door opening. I agree iOverlander is a great source to steer you in the right direction! Ya - $40k CND is about $10 USA -:) I went from a Limited Slip in the Transit - to an ARB Locker After the lift (Gold son GOLD) I get the same 4*4 question because it is lifted and K02's... Small and Nimble ADL - Good to see your prepective on vehicle size as you have traveled in several. I'll see you up in the Yukon this Summer...
Indeed! She phat!🤣 We’ve measured the height of the van, it’s pretty well right at 8.5’ and we need to have it at 8.46’ to get it into a container. So we can remove the vent fan and air down the tires and it should go right in. Our rear springs are rated for the additional so they hold the back end up pretty good. As for truck bed camper, I don’t think we’d do the traditional style of slide in, it would be a canopy camper and would likely have at least one side “contractor” door and a small pass-thru. The vans sliding door is kind of irritating sometimes, especially in cold and rainy weather, we’d much prefer being able to open a smaller door so as not to let so much heat out. We’ve been really happy with the LSD, it didn’t cost much and hooks up whenever we need it without me needing to think about turning it on. An ARB would be ideal, but perhaps a little overkill for our needs and certainly much more expensive. Thanks for watching, Terry! See ya out there.🙌🏻
@@SlowRoamers For me - Nice thing about the sliding side door is that you can open it a little or a lot (from experience - 75k miles). After getting stuck for 1/2 an hour - getting the ARB was a slam dunk for me. Bonus - I now have onboard air with outside spigot.
