    Robert Wadlow foi um jovem que apesar de sua altura de 2,75 não tinha maldade alguma no coração foi uma pessoa boa e alegre apesar de sua situação anormal mais maior que o seu tamanho era a bondade em seu coração morreu jovem com 22anos e hoje está ao lado de Deus tenho certeza r.i.p Robert Wadlow o gigante gentil!

    nobody else is tall like that, but all the men in the family are tall. His father at just shy of 6 feet was one of the few short ones. Robert Wadlow is my 4th cousin.

    Wonderful! Beautiful tune as well!
    But their gift for wry lyrics is present as ever...

    yes he did but so did many modern day giants but wadlow could not stop growing and e did not die because of his height.

  • @PenguinJockey
    @PenguinJockey 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @GAKRAC I don't believe anyone else in his family was unusually tall. Could be mistaken, though.

    amazing focus, on minute details!!! Check out the atmosphere and the hints under the surface that take you away from here and now, to feel the sense of the thing and maybe connect at a deeper level to what it is to be human, irrespective of height or where the blister was that caused the pain. We all got our own blisters........................

    MMMm, it's just a song! I suppose you could take it up with the Handsome Family although I doubt if they will re-record it for historical accuracy!

      there are stories of American pre historic giants, skeletons that were found in the 19th century and the smithsonian went around the country collecting them all up and storing them away, kind of indiana jones lost ark kind of thing.

    Song or no song, the fact remains the blister was still on his ankle. Shame a person can't point out the truth without being berated.

    All the honor to The Handsome Family, but Andrew Bird's cover makes from this glorious song even bigger masterpiece.

    he was 200kg..

  • @mousehead2000
    @mousehead2000 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    My sympathies to you that you receive negative votes for pointing out the truth. I'm sure Mr Wadlow would have pointed this error out too.

  • @OTBOPU11
    @OTBOPU11 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    My only point is this. It's art. The band didn't put this footage on TH-cam against their song. Someone else did. And regarding truth... "they lay up on a hillside made of chocolate and lemonade"... Not truth, art. Great song. And I'm sure Mr Wadlow was an extraordinary person.
