It's rare that a band's name perfectly describes the effect of their music. Listening to them genuinely feels like getting your teeth knocked out. I was listening to them while lifting weights, and I felt like Conan the fucking Barbarian.

@SamuelStudios I have been consuming more metal as of recently but more or less just going into stuff like Tomb Mold and Blood Incantation rather than most metalcore tbh
@@Meeplord2017 The Poetic Eda/Synesthesia album is more like symphonic prog deathcore. Definitely worth checking out, Winter is very tech death adjacent.

this album has officially made me a knocked loose fan. i used to not be too much of a fan of the higher pitched screams and would lean towards liking a more gutteral vocal, but after seeing them live at knotfest Melbourne 2023 and now hearing this album I have absolutely fallen in love. 10/10 album.
The fact that they kept things this experimental and interesting while being THIS HEAVY is insane. This is my favorite album of the decade so far and I honestly don't know if it will be topped. Ive been to several of their shows & they’re awesome dudes as well, couldn’t be happier with how they’ve evolved over the years. 9.5/10 album
Shout out to the Poppy track. They had a song on A Different Shade Of Blue called "Serpent's Touch" that was also really good if you liked that mesh. I love the whole album. I agree 100%, but I would probably put that one at 10.
This is not only my favourite album of the year, but of the decade so far. It's legit my ONLY 10/10 of the 2020s up to this point, it is the wildest metal album I've heard in a while
I think masstaden under vatten from vildhjarta is 10/10 and it came out 2021 willow from reflections is close to a 10/10too and came in 2020 the last three years for hardcore thall deathcore are just amazing
I really appreciate that most of the songs are short except for the ones that have moments of relief. It is Impressive how well they struck the balance of intensity without being insufferable.
This is my album of the year. Blinding faith and Don't reach for me all got me hooked, and Suffocate sent me to hell when it dropped. Now that the album is out I need that Vinyl for real.
There is a reason why Knocked Loose has become as popular as it is despite being a hardcore band. This album is great as most of their projects are, and their new guitarist and vocalist is the reason for their new sound. It's unmistakably Knocked Loose, but this album feels much more organized and purposeful than something like laugh tracks. I hope this inspires Brad to check out the rest of their discography
I feel like Isaac Hale is mostly responsible for this though? I mean, going back to Inclination's Unaltered Perspective I hear a lot of similarities between what was done then and Upon Loss+this new album, at least in the riffs department. So I would imagine it's on his part. Or maybe I'm dead wrong

Not only that but once the shock value wears off from bumping this album enough, those ambient and extra percussive elements are 10000% gonna be what keeps me coming back to this one, even if my favorite still has gotta be A Tear in the Fabric of Life.
