Thanks for your effort! I can appreciate for the best you've tried (- which I *do*, too)! By chance, don't you have any interests in finding TV interviews of other Irish personalities like (say...) Mike Murphy, Patricia Cahill, Maxi (alias Irene McCoubrey) and Dana Rosemary Scallon? I don't know whether there actually are such (Sorry!) & you can ignore if my request is (or '... request are' - I'm not sure which way to use) too much for you. - a foreigner
My mum.in the early 50s was getting off a bus and met your dad who graciously allowed a picture to be taken of him and my mam.For years we had it but it now it's been misplaced and she has since passed away but the picture I can still remember. She always said that he was a true gentleman and treasured that picture.
2 advert breaks a repeat from 1985 when Noel Purcell died 1st advert breaks has adverts for Dawn Milk, Cantrell, Kellogg's Bran Flakes, Do It Right, Malteasers, Sheild, Noel Deasy Motors Cork & RTE Guide in the 2nd for Sure, Dairygold, Do It Right, Sudafed, Birdseye Country Club, Mazda Vans & Irish Nationwide Building Society. The 1st ever advert for Dairygold is found.
Martin, not sure about that. I was sent 2 videos, one from RTE and another from a friend, who recorded it in December 2000, on the Centenary of Dad's birthday. Sorry, I can't trace which one the Dairygold is from. Patrick
In 1985 Mitchelstown launched their 1st butter dairy spread as Dairygold the follow up was Country Pride later in the decade. I would be nice if the longer version of that edition of "The Late Late Show" online it would be nice if there was 1970's & older RTE advert breaks online of course.
Noel was a lovely abd very talented man
Thank you, you're very kind. I'm always so pleased that Dad is still fondly remembered. He was a great Dad!
@@pjnpurcell you were blessed to have such a talented and we'll loved father
I tried to post the entire 90 minute Late Late Show honoring my Dad, but apparently copyright probs have curtailed this. Sorry.

pjnpurcell the actual date you recorded this from was from the early 80s right? I remember some of the adds. What year was it can you recall?
Pete, I think it was shown in early 1985, shortly after Dad died, as a bit of a memorial/tribute. I was sent to me by a friend

This is wonderful, thank you for posting it. Hope you find a way to get the rest up some time. Best Tom
