This was the first real roller coaster I ever went on. I was 11. Just took my family there and rode it with the kids 20 years later. Dope that they got to experience their first coaster with me that was also my first coaster. That drop was as intense and terrifying as I remembered... I LOVED IT.
When I got to the parking lot I looked at the ride and said "oh that drop is not even high." It was the first thing I got on. That was the highest drop I've been on. It was crazy!

Such a great, smooooth ride. You really feel like you're flying, and the airtime is off the charts.
I rode this in sixth grade having no idea what I was in for. It was one of the scariest things I have ever experienced but one of my best memories. I would totally ride this again now.

Apollo's Chariot has to be the best roller coaster at Busch Gardens. The thing that is great about this is that it barely EVER has a line! I rode this 4 times in a day!

This has got to be my hands-down favorite coaster at Busch Gardens. Maybe it's because it was so exciting, maybe it's made me feel like I was flying through a beautiful landscape, or maybe it's because I had "Take On Me" stuck in my head the first time I rode it.
This ride is the shit. Every time I've been (4 times) Ive rode it 4 times, it's so smooth for a 19 year-old coaster.
It's that old? Wow, it's pretty good then!

This is a highly underrated coaster. Very smooth for its age, and super fun on every ride
I wouldn’t say underrated. I just think the park in general doesn’t see too many guests as a whole, which is a good thing for us! 😅

That little bump at the top scared the hell out of me, then I got scared for real lol after the first drop, it's more fun then scary.

I got on this right before they started doing the fireworks, everyone was really excited and the ride operater was excitedly counting down before he launched the ride. I remember everyone was cheering and screaming on the way up and the fireworks launched right as we sped down! Definitely my favorite roller coaster ever.

I’m literally at the entrance for bush gardens Williamsburg, and I see the ride and it looks so fun!!
Initially that first drop had me worried, but it seems like a fairly tame coaster. There are no inversions, crazy corkscrews/helices or even loops.

The only time I've been to Busch Gardens was when I was a kid and this ride was being constructed while I was there. It looks like a blast, I hope I get to ride it one day.
If you're ever gone to Six Flags Great Adventure, go on Nitro. It's the exact same thing.

This is why I got bored with B&M ...pretty much all their coasters have the same exact layouts. Tho I will say Nitro is an excellent ride. First ride from B&M in years I've enjoyed is Gate Keeper at CP.
Coasterdude02149 What exactly is B&M? If that's an amusement park, I've never been there. Though honestly, Nitro and Apollo's Chariot are the exact same thing. So if you've been on Nitro, you've already experienced Apollo's Chariot.
B&M..Bolliger &Mabillard-the designers of this coaster and Nitro. That's why I've grown so bored with them-Nitro & AC are pretty much the same, slight difference in layout but you're right-you've ridden one you've pretty much ridden them all. I'm a big fan of Intamin's coasters, not so much B&M anymore.
Coasterdude02149 B&M it's like Nintendo. Uses the same thing a lot of time, but they eventually make a totally different coaster that we've never seen before. Like Shambhala, in PortAventura, the track is totally new

I rode this my second day at Busch Gardens (I'm from the west coast) and this was one of the scariest coasters I ever went on!! Then I went on it 5 more times
That fake drip at the end always gets me....when you think it's over and right before they take your picture it's this huge dip😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is mine and my moms favorite roller coaster! My first roller coaster was Griffon, but then I rode this. The first drop got me nervous but then I had fun once I got to the drop!!!,
I just went today and I saw this, I wanted to ride it because I thought the drop wasn’t very big but when we went in I was like,”heck no.”

Why on raging bull do they have the brake trim on the start of the third hill? The ride would be so much better if they got rid of that.

JWilD my home park is SFGA and I have to say this B&M hyper is soooooo much better than raging bull. Raging bull had more helix's than this and it's not a good hyper in my option. This compared to raging bull. It would win in every category. Also I'm my opinion this is a lot smoother than raging bull

I found roller coasters most awesome amusement park ride of them all ever since I was a little kid.
I only rode the Apollo once. I waited in line about 45 minutes or longer. I saw car after car leave with one row of 4 sits not filled. When I got to the top of the line I realized they were reserved for people to jump line. They come up from the exit and take these rows. If there are not anyone there, then they leave empty. They have a row on each car for these line jumpers.
It's a pass you pay extra for. Quick lane or something like that
***** Call it what you want but the fact remains, it is line jumping. Shame on SeaWorld for having so much greed that they sell an option to jump line. And shame on the people who buy into it.
Actually it's not line jumping because you pay extra to do it. You can only do it once per ride and when the lines are long it's useful. I used it today and it came in handy. It cost 45$ for it but I'm Not waiting 45 minutes to ride a 3 minute ride. Most rides you still have to wait for just you wait at the track with everyone else.
***** That's your logic. Because you paid extra it is not considered jumping. Of course it is. Can you handle the truth? Ask all the people you jumped if it is jumping in line. And the fact you can do it only once per ride does not matter. The day I went their was a constant flow of only one jump per person.

I feel like this is cemented in history as one of the most iconic roller coaster rides. Let's not forget Fabio killed a goose on the inaugural ride of this coster on 30/03/1999 (the goose flew into his face)

Everything about Busch Gardens Williamsburg is better than Busch Gardens Tampa, Tampa is a school carnival in comparison. We were pleasantly surprised at how awesome this park is.

You mean they are all B&M Hyper coasters? except Fury and Leviathan, as they are B&M gigas, and Hollywood Dream is a mega. And they all have quite different layouts actually if you know anything about roller coasters. What a B&M hyper is, is a coaster with a 200-299 foot drop, and no inversions. (Up side down). It is made for airtime, not twistiness.
And Raging Bull? Wtf? It is a pure twister coaster.

Such a fun ride! When I rode this, a girl next to me was eating a ice cream cone! LOL! This B&M hyper May not be popular but it does give a exhilarating and fun experience. You feel like you’re flying tbh and the airtime out of your seat is soothing!

There's no ride that can beat the fun part of a roller coaster especially when it comes to the high speed, hill height, and length of the track with the big ones.
I went on that with my mom two days ago before I went back to Maryland I was so happy to go on it it was so fun

Story Time.
While riding on this for like the 100th time (I live in Virginia Beach), the person in front of me dropped their phone through the crack of the seat and it literally landed on the crack separating the 2 cars, and in front of my cousin's boyfriend at the beginning as we were going up. I was the only one that noticed it (somehow), and was screaming "THE PHONE! PAUL, THE PHONE!" And was pointing at it, as it almost fell through the crack on the floor of the car. He saw it, and tried his best to reach it but couldn't because his arms were too small (he's shorter than me, and i'm only 5'8). Nearly at the top (about here 0:57 ), the phone tipped over, but instead into the car and onto his foot. He lifted it up with his foot just as were about to hit the very top, and held it till the ride was over, saving an iphone X.
Honestly, not that crazy compared to other rollercoaster stories. However, i felt so proud helping them lmao. That was like 2-3 years ago. The people in front were so grateful, and I'm just sad we don't have video proof lmao. Anyways, 10/10, best ride there, and the girl who dropped it was cute.

That's why you don't carry loose articles onto coasters. It is dangerous. If it flew out while the coaster was going at speed, it could hit someone in the face or head and seriously injure them or even kill someone.

I had an extremely fun day today, may be the best day since my daughter's birth day. we Went to Busch Gardens! My daughter's first roller coaster experience. Included every major roller coaster except one. And that was somewhat puzzling due to the fact! Her very first ever roller coaster. Was technically the most intense. (Which was the Apollo chariot). Educational fun, rewarding physically mentally spiritually. Big boss James got a lot of questions answered from that one days experience. That was filled with love and happiness.... I am so proud so honored so thankful. That. early in life i chose to accept the most extreme situations that is humanly possible, had on. out of that determination to succeed. I was rewarded by being presented. with The most dominating way a man can validate and proclaim his masculinity physically mentally spiritually dominant gentleman style. Which is to be, the best father I can be. Love starts and ends with the creation of life. if you're not attempting to live up to the pleasure potential and responsibility of femininity and masculinity I guarantee you will be ass out for all eternity.
