Both these Polo owners have defamed Polo 1.0 TC to promote 1.2 DSG. I drive in Delhi NCR, and I get 15-16 mileage on my Torque Convertor easily. I have done tank to tank test to make this claim. Also, polo 1.0 has a 3 year paint warranty and 6 year corrosion perforation warranty. It is mentioned in manual as well. Standard warranty is 4 years. There is no issue in build quality, though the 3 cylinder engine is noisier than 1.2. I bought Polo in Jan 22 and it has many international components so quality wise it is still very good. 1.0 is a better urban car than 1.2 as TC is better suited for traffic than DSG which can heat up quickly

You are absolutely right. 1.2 DSG had a drinking problem. Also DSG in lower gears is quite jerky & ofcourse reliability was another factor. While 1.2 being a SOHC engine didn't' breath very well & due to excessive heat in gear box it had some issues. 1L being an DOHC is much better in terms of performance. Built quality as said is on par with 1.2. I will say Manual 1L is the best choice to go for. It thrashes the hell out of those DSG's. This is what happens when you do not possess knowledge & passion about engines & cars in general :)
I agree. The 1.0 tsi automatic is a gem of an engine, I drive it around Mumbai and it easily returns 15-17 kmpl and I took it to Ahmedabad from Mumbai. It gave me 22.1 kmpl. Also sometimes once in a month I use xp 95 the car becomes smooth, the dsg dq 200 was horrendous in reliability.

It's true that Polo's second hand market has gone up without any cause after it had discontinued. If you don't believe then walk to a reputed second hand dealer and ask about the status of Polo. You will be shocked.
I test drove a 1.2 TSI in 2017 and I did not find the punch I was expecting but gear box was quick. I own a 2022 polo GT and i feel it's far more punchy and free revving because of DOHC setup. The body panels are not as tough as the earlier polo but better than other car's in the market. Finally no issues with the paint quality whatsoever. The above 1.0 tsi must be a one-off case or fixed by dealer. Interior quality is the same except the headliner.

DSG of VW works good with TSI but very unreliable in TDI. Given the fact that you pit in N during any small stops. Otherwise its unreliable in TSI too.

Ha bhai me 165 70 kr raha hu use its cheaper than 165 65 and performance is very good no issue with 165 70. Go for it i am using Bridgestone tyres they are excellent
